Alex Dick-face The-Third. Yes, that's my name. I hate it. Someone save me from this name. Why did my parents hate me so much? What did I ever do to them? That's why when he moved to Japan he never told anyone his real name. He went by Alex Yukio.
Ah so anyways here's what happened that led me to meet him.
I walked into the clearing where I heard the shouts and shots I heard when I was walking on the path. When I got there I saw a man laying on the ground, a gun to the side of him.
There was another guy, running towards him. A gun laid discarded on the ground behind him.
On the right of the clearing, there was a cage that looked to have an injured cat in it (the poor cat).
On the other side looked to be a skeleton laying on the ground. The man was now running towards me when the man saw me.
"Help me!" He shouted. "That thing attacked us. I mean me! That one is dead now."
"I don't care," I said calmly. "You were hurting the poor cat. How dare you shoot at it like that?"
"Are you insane?" He shouted and point to the skeleton laying on the ground. "That fucking monster just killed Little Dick over there!"
"One, I. Don't. Care. And two, why's his name "Little Dick?"
"Cuz he has a small dick. His name is John but everyone calls him Little Dick.
He once pulled it out in front of everyone and-"
"I don't care and I didn't ask for a story. Now go before I call the police."
I was surprised about how I acted. Normally I would of loved to hear the story but I felt so god damned angry over the fact they harmed that poor cat.
I don't know why but I felt I had to check on what the skeleton was, so I walked up to it. It was huge and it smelled like rotting feet.
It didn't look like a skeleton of anything I've seen before, or even knew existed. It looked dead, and smelled dead as well.
As I was about to leave, it made a noise that sounded like someone just waking up. It was still alive. While it looked and smelled horrible, it's voice was beautiful. It was indescribable like something out of this world (literally i will find out soon).
It struggled to get up. Failing to do so it just flopped down and laid there, pathetically. I couldn't stand looking at it, so i jabbed its side with my boot.
"Why are you doing that?" the beautiful voice cried out. It could talk. I could understand him, and man, was it's voice beautiful.
"You can speak?" I asked, shocked.
"You can understand me?" It asked back.
"Are you saying not everyone can hear you?"
"Yes, you are the first Badling I meant that has even responded to a sound i made."
"Whats a Badling?"
"It is what I call your kind."
"We're called 'humans'." I laughed.
"Human, I cant get up. I don't know why."
"First off call me Alex. Secondly, you were shot so of course you can;t move properly.'
Thinking over it, this creature doesn't seem to be a monster. He;s just like a human, but he's still has animal instincts. I should probably should help him.
I helped it up but pulling on its "arms". There was no flesh just bone and blood. My hands were soaked in blood when I let go.
"Move away from that monster now!" I heard from the center of the clearing. The shooter was back again. Ugh. He wouldn't leave.
I moved, protectively, in front of the creature. And shouted, "Leave him alone! He's friendly!"
The shooter looked at me like I was crazy. But then he gave up and stormed out of the clearing.
Good he was finally gone. I went back to supporting it. I allowed it to put its "hand" on my head to support it as it walked out of the clearing.
I could feel the blood on my head for its hand. We walked through the bushes and in between trees till we reached a massive cave.
It had a beautiful arrangement of flowers and berries by the entrance. The mouth of the cave had vines covering the front of it.
"My home," it said.
"It's beautiful."
"Be glad, Alex. Your the only other human who will ever lay eyes on my home."
I was glad. It was beautiful. It was hard to believe that such a horrifying looking creature made something like this.
He stumbled inside the cave. It was massive on the inside. The roof of the cave was taller than the creature but if it tried it could probably reach it.
The ceiling was dark but he could make out the shape of a big red circle.
There was a moss cover log on the ground. It walked towards it and sat heavily down. It leaned his back against the stone behind him.
The inside was decorated similarly as the outside, but it was hard to see because of how dark it was. I couldn't see the end of the cave.
"Alex," the sound of its voice saying his name sent shivers down my spine. "Come. Sit down." It patted the the space on the log next to him.
"Why do you humans scream when I eat you? Other species barely make a noise of surprise."
This was unexpected. I didn't have an answer for this. So I just tried to explain to him how humans are.
"Well, humans are more civil. We eat others but we don't usually get eaten. Unlike other species who are used to being eating, we get terrified when we face death."
"Oh. Is it bad that I eat humans then? Even though I do it to survive?"
"I believe it is fine. Humans eat other creatures to survive and so do other animals, so you are just doing what you need to do." I truly believed this. I believe that it is doing anything wrong.
"How is your wound?"
"It's healed already. My species heals fast."
"Wow!"
I find this creature to be so surprising and interesting. It may look horrific but it beautiful on the inside. I don't mean that literally since I can see it's insides.
We talked about my world and life for a little bit. Then I started asking it about where it came from. It told me about this new world. It sounded so beautiful and mysterious, but also terrifying. Who would be terrified of a place where there was no rules or laws? Well what human anyways.
When they sky was dyed in the colors of the sunset, I left the cave and promised to come back the next day. I walked through the woods to the clearing, then to the path, finally I reached my car. By that time the moon was out and the only thing lighting my path as I walked up to my truck. I drove away from the woods, the path, the clearing, the cave, and the creature, towards my home with my eyes on the path home.
