I should have brought a jacket. I reached the mountains that were to the south when I looked up to see Leo walking towards me in the moon light. I could see that he was carrying something in his left hand and his right was in his pocket. I took note that I had been out here for a while since I was a ways from the walk path. I meet Leo half way. I could see that he held a blanket in his hand.

"Here. You might want this. You left the house without a jacket." Leo said as he wrapped the blanket around me.

"Thank you." I aid as I snuggled into the blanket. "How did you know I was out here?" I asked as I sat in the sand.

"You tripped the sensors that are at the front of the path over there on the beach." he said pointing to the two end lights. "No gonna lie, the alarms scared the shit out of me since I thought that you were in bed already. But I seen in the footage, that it was you…... without a jacket."

"Ah makes sense." I replied as he sat down. I noticed that he was wearing shoes in the sand, which made me ask, "How can you be wearing shoes in the sand?"

"It's a bit cold out. I'm shocked that you aren't wearing any. All the girls that I know, would be freaking out if they didn't have their shoes in the mediate area. Let alone be caught walking around at night without any." he replied which made me laugh.

"I am not like most girls. Which I know you already know that." I stated as I stood up.

I dropped the blanket and started to walk towards the water. At the waters edge, I pealed off the leggings and shirt. I threw them to the side so that they wouldn't get wet. I didn't look back at Leo as I walked into the freezing water. The water got up to my knees before I decided to just dive in and get it over with.

I dove into the pitch black water. I swam a ways out before I resurfaced. I finally had the guts to turn back to Leo.

He was still sitting on the ground. His expression was unreadable. I watched him as I started to float. I tried my best to keep myself steady as the waves tried to push me inwards. After the chilling wind won the battle of who could freeze me more, the water or wind, I dove under again.

This time I swam to the north. When I resurfaced, Leo was no where to be seen. All that was left on the beach were my clothes and the blanket. For the lack of his clothes, I concluded that he went back to the house. I decided to swim back to where my clothes were located on the beach. As I was walking out of the water, I started to regret my decision.
