Chapter 5: The Truth

******* Jungkook's P.O.V******

I was deeply confused. I clearly remembered getting that letter. But if it wasn't Alex, who was it? Jimin hyung's face mirrored my own. He was as confused as I was. The only reason he came with me was to ask her why she had left him, her best friend, so suddenly.

I turned back to Alex, and I saw that her eyes

were filled with pure anger, a completely different emotion from her tears only a few moments ago. Alex Riviera never cried.

Now I definitely needed answers.

"What happened that day? Why did you leave?" I asked with a much softer tone.

When she looked at me again, her eyes were softer, but still carrying traces of anger and a small trace of hurt. She took a deep breath and began.

****** Alex's P.O.V ******

"It was about one year and eight months ago. I was training in the gym and I came outside to get some fresh air. Then I got ambushed. I recognised Jackson, of Got7 as they carried me to a van. Before I passed out, I remember him giving BamBam a piece of paper and telling him to 'deliver it to the person who deserved it the most'. That must have been the letter you received."

As I started to retell my side of that day, I saw Jungkook's jaw clench in anger when I mentioned the ambush and Jackson. Before he could say anything, I continued to tell the story.

"When I woke up, I was in one of their bases, where they hold prisoners and torture them. I was tortured from that day up until a year ago, when they decided they'd get rid of me by marrying me off to a member of EXO. He continued to beat me, but we'd constantly move to different places around Thailand and Russia to keep me off the grid. And now here I am."

As soon as I finished telling the boys what happened to me in that year and a half, I instantly felt lighter. I'd had that story bottled up inside me for too long, constantly worrying if I would die or if Jungkook would find me. But he did, and I couldn't be more grateful.
