『Tram Marketplace』

The Old World was a place for those who lived on the top of the spire to live out their more darker cravings of violence and depravity before returning to the surface. Lawless criminality, poverty and death plagued the secondary metropolis built beneath the capital of their Homeworld of Zakuul.

It was drab, dark, and overshadowed by the metropolis above.

The hover car sped down from the Spire City above and down to the Tram Market below at neck breaking speed. Blue interior, white exterior and a curved windshield. There was a set of small wings extending from the back end of the car, and its general shape was sleek and wedge shaped for the most part.

As the car dropped its speed into a hover, it slowly rotated in place as it descended to a platform.

"So did you two enjoy the ride?" Eseth turned her head to look behind her, from the passenger's seat, to look at the two teens. A small grin formed over her lips.

Ento's hair was standing on end.

Vaylin's eyes were practically glued open.

"That was too fast..." Ento finally let out a whine as he flopped to the side, the side of his head crashing onto Vaylin's leg.

Vaylin burst out into a giggle, snorting slightly, as she placed a hand on the top of his head. She rubbed her eyes with her forearm before looking around them.

The Old World seemed rather harsh, but she was pretty sure no one would be able to overpower the both of them, even if they got separated from their Guards.

Turning her attention back to Eseth, she flexed her gaze. "So... How'd you guys get the duty of taking us along?" Her head cocked to the side.

Eseth shrugged before looking towards the other Knight who was remaining silent. "Igor, Once we land, I'll need you to guard the car... The last thing we need is it to go missing. Taking the Tram back to the surface can get... Tiresome."

The one assumingly known as Igor, nodded.

As the car landed on the designated platform, Eseth and the two teens departed.

Vaylin took hold of his sleeve and pulled him along, hyperly moving along without shame.

Eseth marched after them, her pike visible to all those who turned their heads towards the teens. She kept up with them with relative ease. The market wasn't too crowded either, there were only few people occupying the area at a time. It was dangerous for this place to become crowded, from thieves to kidnappers, there were plenty of criminal elements already here.

"Hey-hey, Ento, what do you want to check out first?" Vaylin turned to face him as they were now standing in the center of the marketplace. It didn't seem to be like a happy place, but there were some stalls selling food.

His stomach grumbled.

"Um..." Resting his free hand over his stomach, "Food."

Vaylin's gaze and head wildly turned and looked about, her eyes trailing over staff after stall. There were holograms of merchandise, blue prints and other things. Finally though, her eyes rested on an item she hadn't had since her original departure to Nathema.

"Sushi~!"

"Wha--" Before Ento could inquire what she was talking about, he was pulled along towards a nearby stall that was decorated in flat two dimensional artwork depicting blue waves and green misty mountains. His ears were filled with the sound of the fish being sliced cleaning from the bone, immediately taking his attention.

"One Carton please!" Vaylin bounced in front of the stall.

Ento's gaze watched the man behind the stall silently flay an orange fleshed fish.

Eseth walked up behind them, her pike at her side.

That was when the human male looked up towards the two teens, then towards the Knight. Placing his knife down on the counter top, he looked at the girl, he was pretty sure he had seen her on the public broadcasts before.

"That will be thirteen credits," he held out a hand.

Vaylin was excited, which could be seen as she was bouncing in place, holding out her prepaid card for the man to take.

Taking the card, he looked it over before scanning it, and charging her for his services, then he handed it back. "Your food will be ready momentarily," the man snickered before he began to organize some sushi onto a flat circular carton.

Ento's gaze was on a stall which was several meters away, there was a deactivated Gemini Droid standing next to it. A brow raised slightly at the design. It's overall appearance reminded him of a protocol droid, but it seemed to be more Human in movement than a 3PO-Series droid.

Closing his eyes, he reached out his free hand. Through the force he touched the droid's exterior, explored its interior, learned about how it operated. As he opened his eyes, he was extremely surprised to find that the droid brain within the deactivated machine was designed to be sentient. It was a magnificent design that hadn't even encorporated the force in its manufacturing.

He licked his lips slightly, before closing his eyes again and continuing to reach out with the force. Within the same stall there was various pieces of technology that didn't necessarily belong on Zakuul. Blasters, lightsabers, droid parts. They were all items belonging to the Sith Empire and Galactic Republic, something he found out by finding emblems still etched into them.

Opening his eyes, he already figured this was around the time that Sith were plenty.

That was when his eyes rested on a patrol of Skytroopers which were making their rounds through the Tram Market, appearing to be looking over all the nearby residence.

Lowering his hand to his side, he closed his eyes again and used the force to feel them. In order to learn the inner workings of the droids, without taking them apart, he was using a variant of Mechu-Deru. However he wasn't instilling or imbuing them with his will.

The material, the design, the programming, all of it was being etched into the back of his mind. Just like the Gemini Droid he had taken a look into, these droids were also fascinating, but unlike the Gemini these weren't sentient. They were similar to the Battle droids that had been used to invade Naboo, so the more he reached out, the frequency used to control them garnered his attention.

However, he also found that there was another frequency which served the network for the Gemini Droids that were used as Captains for the Eternal Fleet's Warships.

When he opened his eyes, his gaze turned towards the base of the Spire which this secondary Metropolis surrounded. "Interesting..."

"Hm?" Vaylin turned her attention to Ento as she had the carton of Sushi in her hand.

"Eh? Oh, nothing. Was just looking at the technology, it's strangely far more advanced than what is available in my time period." Ento was quick to admit, but he wanted to see even more and learn how things worked here. If he were to rule an interplanetary government one day, or even a planet, he wanted the power to hold it.

"Time period?" Eseth looked down at the young teen, curious, as it was beginning to sound like he was talking of time travel. That was purely fiction to her, despite there having been hyperspace incidents, from time to time, that sent ships several millennia into the future... Not that anyone in this time period would know about that.

Ento looked to the woman as she had been listening to their conversation.

"His homeworld is at a different level of technological development," Vaylin uttered as she waved his hand that she was holding onto up and down for a few seconds. "A different Era."

"Yup," Ento pursed his lips.

Eseth slowly nodded, "So your friend is an offworlder," her eyes drifted to the Padawan braid.

"...Yes?" Vaylin awkwardly furrowed her brow at the woman before lightly tugging Ento along, towards a nearby table, so they could find a place to sit down and eat.

The duo sat down at the table and began to eat, after opening the closed sushi carton.

About thirty minutes later, they were up and going again around the market. When they came up to a weapons shop, Ento looked over the selections that were there.

Slugthrowers, one of the nastiest pieces of work, especially when their ammunition was solid and even explosive. Jedi cannot block them, nor could Sith. Sonic grenades, which were used exceptionally often by Jedi and Sith killers, as they could easily render a force user powerless for a temporary moment in time... Long enough to gun them down or beat them senseless for a few seconds.

His father had told him his weaknesses as a force focused individual, of course, all of these weaknesses could be made up for with the right equipment.

Everything on sale here was roughly over a thousand credits, especially the slug throwers. Blasters were often cheaper, inexpensive, due to their effective range and high production rates.

As his gaze moved towards the vendor who was eying the two children and the Zakuul Knight guarding them, he blinked once.

The vendor was a Nautolan with purple skin and big black eyes and a metallic jaw. Her head tendrils were held behind her head by golden metal rings. She blinked back at Ento and tilted her head, her gaze moving towards the multitude of lightsabers at the boy's waist.

"Hello! Welcome to my shop!" She immediately found a chipper persona plastered upon her face as she spoke in a watery voice, she was using a synthetic vocalizer to speak. She clasped her hands together, "Would you be interested in selling any of your sabers?"

Raising a brow at her, the boy looked over the Nautolan. "How much per saber?"

In his time lightsabers that were mass produced often cost three thousand credits or more. Though if made by an Artisan or created with personal vigor, it often cost more due to the aesthetic.

"Mmm... 5,000 Credits?"

Ento unclipped two from his belt and held them up to his shoulder. "Two for ten thousand?"

Eagerly the female Nautolan nodded, taking out a credit chip which she would load with the respective amount of currency.

Eseth watched as he gave the weapons over for enough credits to buy a few used civilian landspeeders, or at least ten cheap standardized weapons, but not enough for luxury.

As he took the card, he tucked it into a pouch on his belt.

"Is there anything I can help you... Three with?" The vendor asked shrewdly.

Ento looked again to their wares before narrowing on a deactivated R-8009 utility droid, it had the head of a pit droid and a long cone body with a set of three repulsorlifts to hover with.

"What's that?"

The alien woman looked at him as if he was a child living under a rock. "That child is a R-8009 Utility Droid. It can be found throughout the Core Worlds and even the Outer Rim."

Ento nodded slightly before resting his eyes on a T3-series utilities droid, it reminded him of an astromech. "How much is that one?"

"The T3-series droid? Hm... Not for sale, currently being repaired for another customer." Sighing the Vendor looked to the boy, a brow raised. "Is there anything else?"

"No," Ento looked over the woman for a split moment, before looking to the droid again. Holding his hand out towards the T3 series utilities droid, he used mechu-deru to look into it and familiarize himself with its innerworkings.

It wasn't all that different from a standard astromech, it actually seemed to be less convenient than the ones of his time, like the R2-series. Though at the same time, it seemed to have a weapon installed into its saucer shaped head. He liked the overall design, but it would only be useful for utilities unless he got his own ship in this timeline.

Rolling his jaw, he turned his head towards Vaylin, "So where to next?"
