Chapter 7 War

Deep in a web covered nest that looked a lot like an ant hill one of the rulers of the abyssal Forest stood on a mountain of skulls trying to figure out what the hell was happening. Her massive body was being cleaned by her children they were trying to carm her down.

She had heard reports of some of her children going missing in the night. She thought it was some creature trying to take over her territory, so she sent more of her children to find it and kill it.

She had complete trust that they could kill what ever it was there was over 50 of them sent after all but only a day after she sent them off she had lost contact with them.

After that she continued to send out patrols a lot of them started to go missing, out of her 537 strong hive only 345 remained.

Then it happened one off her children came running in it told her something that terrified her.

The child told her one of their patrol were attack by there own kin however when they tried to find out what was wrong with them, they realised that they were already dead they were like walking corpses and what was worse they seem to infect anything they killed.

By the time the queen had pulled all of her hive back to their nest they had lost 15 more.

=====Back to me=====

It had been a week since I first killed the skull crawler I had trained with Echoes help for the first 2 days. I had also sent the skull crawler to guard the area I had managed to get a bit more information out of it's memories, I learnt that I am in the territory of the skull crawlers so I would only have to worry about them for now.

Once my training was done I began to put my plan into action first I tried to eat the infested skull crawler to see if I could farm biomass of course I had Hunger do it. However as soon as Hunger tried it he immediately vomited, apparently and I quote "it tasted like shit".

After that Echo told me eating our own kind would not end well so I stopped trying Hunger was pretty pissed though.

Next I began to hunt down skull crawler patrols I managed to kill around 30 with traps, then 1 day later a massive wave of 50 of them came out of no where. I was able to use hit and run tactics to slowly kill them off before I surrounded them and attacked with my small army. They were unable to get away and were killed they then joined my army, Hunger had a field day eating some of them.

I got 150 biomass from the army of 50 and another 100 from the patrols, I had to stop Hunger from eating to many because there was the wounded as well that I had to heal. I had 145 B.P left after healing the wounded and the ones Hunger started eating.

After that I continued to hunt down patrols, collecting biomass from them and small animals that I found as well as healing my wounded, I was not just doing this to exterminate these monstrosities i was doing this so I could get more fighting and commanding experience.

Then I fucked up, I got too cocky.

I had accidentally left an opening allowing one of them to escape and it managed to tell the hive what was happening, it only took a day before I could no longer find any more patrols they had all gone back into the nest.

I am now just sitting in our base I was wearing some simple clothes I made with my webbing. Our base that we made is surrounded by webs and husks I was trying to come up with a plan.

Me:"So what do we do now we have an army of 219 husks yet we have no idea how many are left and no Hunger before you ask we are not going to just charge in"

Hunger:[Why do you have to ruin my fun] he was now sitting in the corner of my mind again

Echo:[You should upgrade your abilitys you will need to be as strong as possible]

I shivered in fear when I heard that I had been putting this off because of what happened last time but I new I would need this if I was going to win.

Me:"Find bring up my status"

Ok time to make a list. I will buy (Sound wave) and (Vibration sensor) then i will upgrade them the first one twice and the second one once for 210, I will the get (Poison claws) and (Poison resistant) I will upgrade them 2 time for 81, I will then upgrade (Increased brain function) ones for 30, so I now have 52 B.P left.

"Okay do it"

I immediately collapsed onto the floor as soon as I gave the go a head, my body began to twist and change I could feel my muscles ripping and then fixing themselves, my brain expanded and shrunk and my hands felt like they were on fire.

It took 2 hours before that hell finally ended, I just laid there unmoving eventually I open my mouth to speak after several minutes.

"That was fucking awful"

Echo:[That's your fault for evolving to much to fast]

Me:"S-shut up"

"Well let me try these new skills out I will take to day to try them out, Echo can you control some of the husks and scout the nest"

Echo:[Got it]

I send the day training with my new abilitys and planning with Echo and Hunger. I end up braking several tree's when I used (Sound wave) for the first time it was fucking awesome it made my head spin a bit. The other were prity simple the only thing that made me feel a bit weird was using the poison ability it felt like I was peeing through my hands.

The next day I woke up I still had not gotten used to waking up surrounded by strange and creepy creatures. I'm just thankful that they do not need to eat however Echo says that we will need to make a food supply for the lesser Fallen before we start making them.

I then walked over to the small pond that we had at the far right side of our base, I took off the clothes I had made with my webs and took a bath.

When I was getting out I asked for a report on the hive.

Echo:[The hive is still in active there are some small groups that are making what looks to be a wall of webs out side the nest but that's it]

Me:"What about our plan how far a head is it"

Hunger:[YES THE PLAN WILL BE READY SOON AND THEN WE WILL FEED] I've already gotten used to this

Me:"Good we should get ready to start"

=====Queen skull crawler=====

The queen was sitting in her nest she was surrounded by her children she had called them all back hoping that what ever was out there would move on. She did send some of her children to look around the area but kept them inside the webs.

"AAAAAAARRRRRRRR"

"AAAAAARRRRRRRRR"

She looked up when she heard the two booming roars that hit the nest coursing several tunnels to collapse, immediately she ordered her children out side to report and for the rest to guard the tunnels.

Apparently a large number of her tainted children around 120 of them were coming right at her nest, they would be here soon but they were not alone however several flying creatures with the same red eyes as the tainted children were attacking from the sky.

She sent the 25 of her children that where out side to slow them down so she could prepare to defend her nest. There were 5 groups of enemies 4 groups where made up of the tainted children and they are coming from N,E,S and W. The last group are the flyers she had to get rid of the ones blasting her nest or she would be buried alive.

She sent some of her children to shoot them down with there webs but as soon as the creatures soar what was coming they turned and fled.

The queen did not have time to rest how ever because just then the tainted ones had finished ripping apart the children that she had sent to slow them down and were now sprinting at the nest.

If the queen could have smiled she would have because just as they reached the entrance to the nest they were met with the open jaws of her children, the two sides clashed each side began to rip each other apart red and white webs shot through the air slamming into each side.

At first it look like the queens children would win how ever she noticed that the tainted ones did not stop even when there heads were pierced they just kept coming.

BOOOOM

Suddenly the ground shook again the queen thought that those creatures had returned but she was wrong, she could sense them lots of them the tainted ones they were coming from below they had tunneled into the nest!

=====Back to me=====

I was standing in a room with several of my brood (the husks) they where standing around me. We could not see much the red light that came from us did not illuminate the place to much however we could hear the sound of savage battle above us.

Echo:[NOW]

Hearing the signal I breathe in heavily before letting out a scream at the top of my lungs.

"RRRRRROOOOOOOAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRR"

I sent out a massive sound wave that sounded more animal then human, it then hit the wall in front of us the sound wave broke right through it and it revealed that on the other side there was a tunnel that was covered in webs.

The sound of several of the walls being broken down could be heard.

Just then me and the husks ran forward I was thankful that i was able to walk on the webs.

As we when through the tunnels I could see several more husks breaking through the walls.

Just as I turned a corner I sensed movement that was not one of us so I immediately sliced upwards with my claws impaling an enemy skull crawler that had jumped at me, green blood splashed out of it but I didn't bat an eye.

I threw the creature off my hand just in time to slash another one in the face that was charging at me.

The skull crawler jumped back only to be attacked by the husks they ripped it apart. I could hear the sound of battle coming from every direction, I could barely hear Echo when she sent me a report.

Echo:[The husks that Hunger is controlling have broken through and are making their way down to you] he really wanted to run in and rip the enemy apart ever since we found out he can possess the husks, so we let him

[Also some of the skull crawlers tried to escape but the two tailed foxes and other husk took care of them]

Me:"Good now let's show these fuckers who the real queen is"

For some reason whenever I thought of the skull crawler queen I was filled with nothing but hatred and killing Intent, I guess it's because of my new race either way I was going to rip that bitch apart.

I continued through the tunnels I command the husks to kill and infect everything except the queen. I eventually came to a wide open room in side there was at least 70 skull crawlers all protecting a larger entrance to another room.

I walked forward my brood behind me all I did was make my eyes flash a darker red before my husks charged forward ripping everything apart they shot webs at each other.

Some of the skull crawlers tried to attack me but my brood kept them away.

I look on at the battle with an uncaring expression and just kept walking through the battlefield I entered the room they were protecting. I looked to see a massive skull crawler at least twice my height on a mountain of webs and skulls looking down at me with pure anger in it's eyes.

I could feel my instinct screaming at me to kill this disgusting bitch for looking down on me, I could barely hold my self back all my body wanted to do is rip that fucking things head off.

However under all the hatred was a sense of pride that I had almost won, that soon all of this bitches children would be mine and she could not do a fucking thing about it.

Just then the bitch shot a large stream of webbing at me I did not move however I just shot my own webbing at hers, red an white webs mixed in the air before it just landed on the mountain of skulls. She then sent a massive wave of yellow gas at me I quickly got out of it because it had started to burn me it was some sort of acid.

I shot another sound wave at her but she dodged it and was still standing on that massive pile of skulls. Just then an evil grin spread across my face.

Me:"You like those skulls so much find they will be your down fall"

I then released my hands shooting webs at the sealing before pulling my self up I then breathed in and send a sound wave at the mountain of skulls coursing it to shake before collapsing.

The fat bitch could not react in time and hit the ground hard breaking the skulls under her, I then shot more webs at her legs making it harder for her to move.

I let go of the webbing and fell on to her back she tried to get up but found it hard to move, i then used my claws to dig in to her carapace green blood leaked out of her the bitch started screaming in pain.

And that's when I completely lost it, the anger, the rage, the hunger I couldn't hold it back anymore even the (Peace of mind) ability could not stop it.

My eyes lost all sense of intelligence and just turned complete red, the red lines on my body started to glow more and more and a red mist that crackled with energy began to pour from my mouth.

My teeth ripped in to her back braking her carapace I ripped through it then through flesh and muscle and then through her organs my body was almost all the way in side her back, she was letting out gurgles as she started drowning on her own blood.

I started to feel dizzy but I didn't care all I wanted to do was keep eating, however slowly everything got darker then it turned to nothing...

I was just floating in endless darkness my anger and rage was now gone replaced by confusion. I tried to call out but I could not say a thing, it was like i didn't have a mouth. Then a warm feeling came over me it was like I was being wrapped in a blanket I found myself falling asleep.

=====Hungers pov=====

We had just taken over the nest I had enjoyed the hunt greatly, I must thank the queen for letting me do this. Ever since we found out that me and my creator can possess the queens followers I had wanted to fight in a battle.

Just as I was cornering the last of my pray a sudden burst of energy ran through me and every single one of the followers.

It was followed by an order well more like a impulse that was filled with nothing but rage and hunger the message was simple just one word.

"EAT"

I lost my self in the hunger I attacked and killed all enemies around me when there was no more skull crawlers to eat we turned on each other. I could hear my creators voice but I couldn't stop I had to keep eating.

[MMMMOOOOORRRRRREEEEE] I went mad with hunger I could not stop I had to, I need to, keep eating

Then it just stopped I had no idea what just happened I was named hunger by the queen for a reason I had always been proud of that fact, yet now for the first time in my life i was scared of my hunger.

But that fear of what just happened was completey lost when a feeling of pure dread flowed into me. When I realised I couldn't feel the queen anymore I new that she was alive but she was gone it was like her mind had been cut off from me.

Echo:[Finally your a wake I thought you had gone mad] she sounded tired

Hunger:[What happened I can't feel the queen]

Echo:[She is fine here let me explain what is happening]
