Chapter 10 the hunt part 2

"RRRRROOOOOAAAAARRRR"

I didn't know what that was but I had no in tension of finding out so I started running. I could hear the sounds of battle behind me as well as the sound of something big coming my way.

Hunger:[SHIT SHIT SHIT] The sound of hunger screaming sent my imagination in to overdrive

Me:"What the hell is going on. What could have made hunger panic so much"

The sound of my feet that were hitting the floor suddenly stopped as I realized this I looked down in confusion.

Only to see a large orange mass of fur as well as a massive amount of red liquid. I was sent flying as I hit a tree and went through it, I hit the ground and continued until I was about 10 meters from where I once was!

Booooooom

The sound of the tree hitting the ground could be heard making everything around it shake. Shards of wood were stuck in my back as well as that their was now a massive claw mark across my chest that was bleeding heverlee.

"What the.... hell was that? Fu-" my cursing was interrupted when I coughed up some blood

My head was spinning making it hard to think however the sounds of very heavy and loud foot steps snapped me out of my stupor.

I tried to move tried to run but my body was stiff with pain and it just would not move. My body had started to heal but did I really have time for that..... I focused my healing on getting my mobility working again.

But while I was healing I looked at what had sent me flying through a tree and immediately my instincts told me to run. I had seen this thing before, it was one of the first things I saw when I woke up and the very first creature I ever had the pleasure of meeting.

But this one was a lot bigger then the last one it was at least twice the height of a normal man, with massive claws that looked like swords, large muscular forearms with dark orange fur, it had large bat like ears, it also had no eyes and a massive mouth that was filled with lots of very sharp teeth.

I couldn't help but wonder how hunger was doing and just how many of these things there were.

====Hungers pov====

It was going so well the queen was doing so well, so how did it turn so bad so quickly. This thought kept running through me over and over again I started to think on how this when so wrong.

We had been in the forrest for about 4-5 hours and the queen had killed several creatures in this time. The most of which were not all that amazing but that may have been my fault.

It seems a lot of the creatures were scared of the massive swarm of spider monsters, I have no idea why?

Anyway as the queen was starting to leave the area and seem to be heading back to the nest I saw several large creatures running on all fours in our direction.

I quickly came to the conclusion that they would probably be way too much for the queen to handle by her self so I decided to step in.

I sent ten of my swarm to intercept them from the front and then the rest to surround them. I was thinking just how much fun it was going to be to kill them but I was so wrong.

It turns out these giant balls of fluff were actually fucking terrifyingly efficient killers because it only took a few seconds before the biggest one broke through and started making its way to the queen. When I saw this I started to panic I was unable to go after it, I was currently trying my best to stop anymore from getting to the queen.

The only thing I could do now is warn her so I shouted out to her telling her to "RUN". She seemed to become confused for a second before she was brought back to reality by a very loud ear piercing scream, as soon as she heard that she started running.

After that I refocused on my fight, I had already sent a message to my creator for help and now I could only hope that they got here in time.

===My pov===

"Come on heal faster" my heart was racing

My body was all most completely healed now but that creature has almost reached me. It was currently walking really slow towards me like in a horror movie and for some reason that really pissed me off.

It felt like it was looking down on me and just the thought of it acting all smug just because it got a sneak attack on me made my blood boil.

The creature was getting closer and closer to me until it finally seem to get bored of waiting and launched it's self at me.

But just before it landed on top of me I shot a sound wave right at it's chest, it let out a scream of pain before it was send flying into the distance. It's body crashed into the ground a little distance away from me, it stayed there for a few seconds before standing back up and boy did it look pissed.

It quickly started running into the trees, it was moving so fast it was like a blur. I tried to follow it with my eyes but it disappeared into the darkness.

I quickly tried to stand up but before I could get to my feet my senses started screaming at me to move, so I immediately jumped to the side ignoring the pain that was coming from my chest. Just as I did the place I was just sitting exploded causing dirt to fly everywhere.

But before I could react I was hit in the side by another large orange paw, thankfully I was able to block it with one of my wings.

"Shit"

I quickly tried to jump back so I could get some distance between me and it but by doing this the creature ripped off several of my feathers.

As the dirt and dust cleared I could see the massive creature facing me. I was breathing heavily I had been fighting all night and now i was close to my limit.

I thought about using the hunger virus but I decided against it, I had no idea how it would work or if I could control it. Just as I was thinking of retreating a strange feeling started filling my body it seemed so familiar.

I started remembering back to when I decided to wipe out the skull crawlers, I remembered a feeling that I felt back then that was something similar to this but it was no where near as intense. I was so focused on this feeling that I did not even notice the fact that the lines on my body were starting to glow brighter or the fact that I was releasing a massive amount of bloodlust.

Suddenly all the thoughts of retreating vanished and only one thought was left to fill my mind it was like a chorus of voices chanting the same word over and over again in my head.

I look up at the creature that was standing in front of me, apparently it realised that it had fucked up because it was slowly taking some steps backwards. I couldn't think rationally all I wanted was to rip it apart so before I even knew it I was already next to the creature!

It tried to jump away but I slashed in to it side leaving a massive gash in it's body, it roared in pain before it kicked me away from it. I landed on my feet and shot a sound wave at it sending it's body through a tree, I had to jump out of the way when the tree came crashing down right above me.

The tree had block my view of the creature so I ran past the tree to find it, only to see that little shit running off into the forrest with its tale between it's legs.

I got ready to run after it but my legs gave out on me and I fell on to all fours, I then started breathing heavily again. The glow of the red lines that cover my body had started returning back to normal, I then started to cough up some blood.

"What's happening"

My body was hurting all over it felt as if all the bones in my body were broken, I was barely able to keep my self from blacking out from the pain.

[Terra are you okay] I heard the concerned voice of Echo in my head

I then sensed several husks making there way in my direction. Once I new that I was safe I collapsed on to the floor to rest, some of the husks stayed to protect me well the rest went to help in the battle that was still going on.

Me:"Echo we need to talk later I have some very important questions to ask" I said in a weak voice

Echo:[Alright]
