Chapter 11 We need to talk

It took 30 minutes to push back the creatures that I had named the hell hounds however we lost several of our husks that where beyond saving, however Hunger was able to kill some of them so it was not a complete loss.

It took another hour of me slowly walking to make my way back to base, my wounds were still healing and to make it worse I was exhausted thankfully the husks were able to help me back. Once i got back I headed straight to my room or would you call it a chamber, there was pretty much nothing in it except for a bed I had made with great difficulty.

Sitting down on the bed all i wanted to do was sleep but i knew that this was not the time there was still some things that I needed to know first.

So I called out to Echo through the link between us that had been reconnected letting me speak to her again.

Me:"Echo you there"

Echo:[Terra we are sorry about what happened we should hav-]

Me:"It's fine I was the one who wanted this not you, so let's just move on" I cut her off

Echo:[Fine]

I took a moment to breathe and think about what I need to say before continuing.

Me:"However like I said there are somethings that we need to talk about"

Echo:[Alright what do you want to know]

Me:"Well first let me just ask how the battle went with Hunger, just how many husks did we lose?"

Echo:"It went okay however we ended up losing eleven husks from the battle that were too far damaged to heal"

Me:"Oh I actually thought it would be worse then that"

Echo:[We can see why you would think that, those creatures were really annoying]

Me:"Next I want to know what happened to me in that fight. It was similar to when I was fighting the skull crawler queen but it felt alot different like it was less intense"

Echo:[To put it simply that would be your inner self basically those are the thoughts and feelings of your fallen half. It will take time but eventually you'll be able to control those thoughts and feelings]

Me:"I wish you would tell me these things sooner. Sigh. Fine we can talk more about this later I need to rest right now"

It only took around ten minutes for Terra to fall asleep, once she had we linked our mind with Hunger's.

Hunger:[Creator i hope the queen is doing well because there is a lot more killing to be done hehehe]

Echo:[Sigh. She's fine for now but right now we have something that we need to talk about]

Hunger:[I understand] he said in a more serious tone

Echo:[About that talk we had]

Hunger:[....I know why you are doing this, why you are keeping this from her. It's all to protect her after all but..... sigh. Do you really think that this is the best way to go about it]

Echo:[It's the only thing we can do right now if she were to find out.... who knows what kind of damage it could cause, her mind is already broken we fear what might happen if she were to know]

Hunger:[I don't know what to tell you, you and I have changed alot in the short time we have been with her. Yet I fear that not telling her now might cause more damage later, because it my take some time but eventually she will find out]

Echo[W-we... I don't know what to do anymore]

My eyes slowly opened, i was lying on my crappy bed. I slowly looked around the room as I sat up my body was still aching but it was a hell of a lot better from before.

I rubbed my head trying to remember all the events of last night. I decided it would be for the best to take my mind off of it so I opened up my status to see what had changed.

I read through my status as I got up and made my way out side to take a bath, I was still covered in blood after all. I made my way through the nest, I was heading to a large open room that Echo had made when she had managed to find an underground stream.

I took off my clothes as I sat in the water that went up to my chest. My old clothes were taken away and replaced with new ones by some of my husks.

[Hi, you there]

I would have jumped out of my skin if I was not all ready used to this kind of thing.

Me:"Sigh. What's up Echo"

I couldn't help but sigh a little at the fact that I have almost no privacy nowadays.

Echo:[We think it's a good time to start making some Fallen if you are ready]

Hearing those words I realized that I had forgotten the hole reason that I had gone in to that fucking forrest to begin with. Facepalming at my stupidity I quickly finished my bath, once I had finished I got out.

Me:"Just give me a minute and I will be right there" i said as i was drying myself with a towel made of webbing

Echo:[Alright we should probably do this out side]

I slowly got my clothes on as I did I could feel a small bid of excitement run through me as I got ready.

Once I was finished I made my way out side it didn't take long even though there was a lot of new tunnels. This was because I just had to read the memorys of the husks to find my way.

Once out side I took a minute to breathe in the cool afternoon air, it seemed that i had slept for a long time.

Me:"So what do we do first"
