In the end, they still took Kil with them since there's no one to babysit him.

Surprisingly, Ker took the wheels. They drove smoothly away from the city and gradually entered the countryside.

Yue and Kil were like two peas in a pod. They keep pointing to places and things that interest them.

Yue really enjoyed basking in nature.

She indulge herself on myriads of inspirations that keep popping in her mind.

On one side...

"Those bastards from the Heather family is getting bolder!" Shuuei shouted in frustration.

"Their arrival is too timely. They intend to interfere with our operation" Galen tried to analyze the situation.

"We should round them up after we're done with North Wolf!" Shenkai was another hot blooded man.

"We can't do that yet, there's not enough evidence" Galen turned down the idea.

"How long are we gonna wait to accumulate enough evidence. They're already spitting us in the face" Shenkai was disdainful.

"They are, but what can we do. Today they just delayed us from entering their territory to do some inspection which is their right, and afterwards they still let us in and even cooperated with us. We can't just accuse them of colluding with the enemy with just something as simple as that" Galen stated the fact.

"Who would have thought they would acquire that piece of land which no one wanted for hundreds of years" that's what puzzled Shuuei.

"It's my oversight. I didn't expect the Heather family to put much weight to this operation. There must be something more going on that we need to look into" Yyan was grave.

Good thing is they didn't lose anyone.

Everyone kept mum after hearing what Yyan said.

They knew that it was also their fault for not thoroughly investigating the situation before planning. But it's no use claiming faults from each other as it would only bring them to nowhere.

"Alright, everyone dismissed. We'll resume planning after everyone is well rested" Yyan called the end of the meeting.

"Yes boss"

No one dared to protest. They haven't had a proper sleep for two days. If they want to succeed, they needed to replenish their energy and refresh their minds.

Everyone left except for Yyan and Assitant Yi.

"Ruyi" Yyan's emotionless voice called for Assitant Yi.

"Young master" Assistant Yi calmly responded even though he felt nervous inside.

"Didn't I tell you to stay by Little Yue"

"Miss Yue asked me to go back to young master's side. Miss worries about young master's situation. I made sure to arrange several hidden guards to protect miss before I left" Assistant Yi worded his reply carefully.

Even then, no hint of changes can be seen from Yyan's face.

"What did you tell her?"

"I told Miss the exact words Young master told me to tell her, but Miss somehow managed to get some clues about the actual situation" admiration can be heard from Assistant Yi's voice at this point.

"I see" Yyan felt proud and helpless at the same time.

He left Yue without saying anything but knew she would be worried so he sent Ruyi his message for her, but his Little Yue had grown to be perceptive that he cannot even hide his situation even with the few information. He actually hoped for it, but didn't at the same time. He had never been so indecisive with his life, it's only always if it involves Yue.

Good thing she wasn't reckless and insist on knowing his actual whereabouts. In the end, if it can be avoided, he didn't want to get her involve in the dangerous business of their family.

"Young master should also take a rest. Miss Yue would be sad if she knew that young master is not getting enough sleep" when Assistant Yi saw that he would not get reprimanded for leaving Miss Yue, he immediately pushed his luck to get his Young master to rest.

"Wake me up after an hour"

Assistant Yi heaved a sigh of relief. Getting his young master to sleep for an hour is a good sign. Usually, he would work and think nonstop especially when there are critical situations such as this one. Assistant Yi knew that using Miss Yue's name did the job. It was only now that he realized how much influence Miss Yue has in Young master.

Assistant Yi was suddenly drenched in sweat.

He also realized how grave a mistake he did when he left Miss Yue's side and how much his young master actually trusted him to leave her in his care.

"Ruyi" Assistant Yi unconsciously straightened up when Yyan called him.

"No more next time" Yyan's words were like a sharp knife that stabbed through Assistant Yi's heart.

Perhaps if it was anyone else they'd already be dead. It was his young master's mercy to spare him his life probably because he still meticulously arranged for Miss' safety. But there's no use guessing for it now.

If only Assistant Yi would know that it's because he mentioned that Yue "sent for him" because she "worries about her brother" that saved his life, then he would probably never let go of such a huge golden thigh. But he would also realize that soon enough.
