Passing through

Yue unknowingly fell asleep as she browse through the dossiers.

In her dream she saw her past.

No, rather than seeing her past, it's more of a recollection.

The zipper of her gown accidentally caught the blanket from the bed, and so when she jumped from 27th floor it spread out and acted like a chute. It increased the air resistance slowing down her fall.

But since she didn't properly hold on to the blanket, it folded when she was about to reach the ground.

She felt the impact of her fall. It felt like her bones crushed to hundred pieces further, especially her skull, it's like her brain is about to burst.

Yue woke up sweating.

That was actually a piece of her memory that she forgot, but does it matter, whether she fell from the 27th floor or 7th floor she still ended up dead, else why would she be transmigrated into another body.

Yue fixed herself and her mess. Suddenly, alarm sounded around the base.

Yue thought it could be from an enemy attack. Since they managed to place a mole, it could be expected that they already knew the location of the base.

Instead of panic, Yue felt surprisingly calm.

She didn't go anywhere since she didn't know her way around, it would be useless if she got lost instead.

Yue knew Assistant Yi would get here any minute, if he didn't, then, it would not be too late to move on her own.

"Young Miss we have to move out of the base immediately, please follow me" sure enough, Assistant Yi didn't betray her expectation.

"Did they managed to invade the base?" Yue threw the question as she followed along.

"They planted bombs all over the building, we have no time to identify their location"

"It can't be helped. Since we found one mole, the probability of a second, third, and even more is big" Yue began to analyze. "If my guess is correct, the operation from our side is successful and the enemy got desperate enough to execute their backup plan which is the destruction of the base. Are there any important documents left in the building? "

"The important documents have long been moved as per the instruction of young master" Really efficient.

Later on, Assistant Yi entered a room and tapped a portion of the wall. The seemingly seamless wall suddenly caved in and a long tunnel appeared on the other side.

It was just a straight tunnel and they should be out after walking for about an hour, unfortunately, things doesn't go as smoothly as they planned.

Halfway through, they saw a person waiting for them.

Yue noticed Assistant Yi moved his hands to his waist. There should be a pistol there.

"Shenkai, did you betray the family?" Ruyi threw a useless question, trying to delay the enemy from making any move.

The tunnel should be a secret only known to him and his young master, so for Shenkai to appear there it means that he already turned coat.

"There's no use talking Ruyi. Hand over Miss Crest and things wouldn't get ugly" Shenkai scowled.

"You're right, there's no use talking" Even before Ruyi finish saying his sentence, he already pulled the trigger to kill Shenkai. But Shenkai didn't fall to Ruyi trick and managed to dodge. He didn't forget to shoot Ruyi back. The two of them exchanged for a few more rounds.

Yue was at first startled at the sound of the gun. Since her hearing is more sensitive than other people, the gun shot is several times more irritating in her ears. But Yue adjusted just as soon. She kept in mind that this might not be the last time that she would encounter such a scene. If she wanted to survive as a Crest, she had to get used to it.

Assistant Yi and the person called Shenkai changed to hand combat when they've used all their bullets. Amidst their fight, Assistant Yi gave her a signal to escape.

Yue knew she would just be a burden if she stayed so she didn't hesitate to find a chance to get past Shenkai.

Shenkai was aware about the exchange between Ruyi and the Crest miss, but as much as he would like to intercept her, he can't get away from Ruyi.

It was a miscalculation on his part. It was a last moment decision to kidnap the young miss, and he thought he can get away easily since Ruyi was the only one left to guard her.

Who would have thought that the seemingly weak secretary cum butler was highly skilled in martial arts and killing. He should have known that Yyan Crest wouldn't leave his precious sister without a capable hand.

Yue didn't look back and tried her best to run as fast as she could.

Not long after, she managed to exit the tunnel. From afar, she could see the black smoke coming from the location of the base.

The base still got destroyed in the end, but Yue was impressed that they didn't feel the shock from the tunnel. Whoever designed that passage is a genius.

Hopefully Assistant Yi could emerge victorious from the fight.

Yue was about to walk off when she felt her phone vibrating.

"Yue, stay where you are. I'll come and get you okay" Yue can feel the anxiousness from Yyan's tone.

"I'll be waiting for brother, don't take long" Yue was also anxious to see him. She wanted to personally see whether or not he got hurt.

"I won't" suddenly, Yue heard a sound coming from her back.
