Her Purpose

Yyan was leading his men walking towards her.

So during the time he was talking to her he was actually nearby just tracking her exact location.

Yue couldn't wait and ran towards him. She walked around Yyan, making sure that he's all well.

When Yyan saw how Yue excitedly ran towards him, he though she would give him a hug, but instead, she stopped and circled around him like an inspector. He really appreciated her concern but he had been itching to hug his little sister and so he grabbed her into his embrace.

"Brother, Yue can't breathe" Yue tried to wriggle around.

"Behave my little Yue. You didn't know how much brother was scared" Yyan loosen his hold but didn't let her go.

Yyan can't imagine the horror he felt when he received the report that the enemy planted bombs inside the base. He almost went on rampage, he wanted to personally tear apart the flesh of the persons from North Wolf and Heather Family. He never felt so murderous.

Good thing he managed to reign his anger and think clearly. He knew that Ruyi would led his sister safe to the secret passage. But still, he immediately wrapped up from his side to fly to her. As long as he didn't see her in front of him alive, his heart wouldn't be at peace.

Yue stayed still and laid her head on his chest. She can hear how loud and fast his heart as beating.

Yue was overwhelmed.

She would have never thought that someone could care so much for her. She didn't know how to react, she never experienced something like this before.

Maybe because at the back of her mind she can't still separate from her previous identity that she put up a wall between her and Yyan.

She unconsciously labeled his concern for her as concern for his sister "Yue".

She tried to give back his care as for how she think "Yue" would do but it was not until now that she realized that her half-hearted attempts was an insult to Yyan's sincere concern.

Yyan was not actually that close to "Yue". He maybe expressing his care for his sister before but he was never this excessive. Yue originally thought that maybe he just gave an extra attention to her due to the falling and amnesia incident, but days and years passed by and he just keep growing on her.

So did he change because she changed?

Right, isn't she the one beside him now? So his concern should be genuinely for the Yue that is her.

So for what was she dilly dallying for?

Can't she also get greedy for once. It was already her second life, so what was a need to be cautious in showing her concern and grabbing all the care she can get.

But it was as if someone was testing her newfound resolve.

On her peripheral, she saw something sparkled. When she turned her head, she saw someone was aiming at her brother.

She heard someone shouting for her brother to watch out, and as for her, she gave Yyan a push to the ground, leaning all her weight on him.

They eventually fell and Yyan managed to avoid the shot, but Yue felt a piercing pain on her side.

Yue looked at Yyan's face only to see his countenance falling. Yue tried to force a smile to cheer him up, but she already blacked out before she can do so.

Was the purpose of her second life is to save Yyan? Then it's worth it- those were Yue's last thought.

She didn't hear how Yyan cried painfully for her name trying to wake her up.

She didn't saw fast Yyan pulled the trigger to put several holes on the body of the person who made the shot, leaving him with only a sliver of life.

And how Yyan tear him limbs from limbs with his knife. His eyes have gone red. The cold, emotionless but gentle man was long gone and was now replaced with a heartless demon.

Yyan's men shivered from the sight. They were hardened veterans, professional killers, but some of them even vomited.

They had never seen such a brutal sight.

Usually when they kill, they kill with a shot or a stab and that's it, it would never be as gory as this.

They never would've thought that their young master is capable of such cruelty.

Different thoughts formed in their head, but if there's one thing, they desperately prayed for the survival of their young miss or they wouldn't know how their young master would end up.

They would definitely serve their young miss wholeheartedly because she would be their lifesaving amulet against their young master.

If Yue happen to know their thoughts, it wasn't known whether she would laugh or cry.

But if Yue witnessed what Yyan had done, what do you think?

Ruyi came a bit late but efficiently called for a medical team.

Within 15 minutes, top of the line medical team arrived with their advanced equipment, but when they were about to work on Yue, they were stopped by the fierce stare coming from Yyan.

It was like he lost his rationality and the only thing he had on his mind is not to let other people touch Yue.

It took a lot of effort from Ruyi before Yyan finally let go. Yue already lost a lot of blood.
