Yue glanced at her brother from time to time. From the moment he found her 'til now he didn't utter a single word.
This is the first time Yyan ignored her like this. Yue didn't know what to do. She didn't even know why he got angry.
They arrived at the penthouse and the awkward silence continued.
"Brother" Yue broke the silence. She was facing his back but she can feel the tension around him.
"Brother Yan, talk to me please" Yue hugged him from his back. She felt Yyan flinch but she didn't let go.
Yyan held her hand and pulled her in front of him.
Due to the sudden movement, Yue almost twisted her arms and the damage caused by Ashaina's steeled grip became apparent. Yue cried in pain.
Yyan didn't think his pull will cause Yue pain. But he then saw a handprint in Yue's arms that already turned blue. His face blackened instantly.
His movements was fast but gentle as he guided Yue to sit in the sofa. He tried to feel around her bones and discovered that there is no fracture, only bruised caused by exertion of too much force. This time, Yyan looked carefully at Yue's face and saw some scratches on her jaw and neck.
Yyan immediately took the medicine box and applied ointment to Yue. Each dab of medicine to her skin pains his heart. How could he be so careless, letting his anger get into his head totally missing that there's something wrong with her.
Throughout this time, Yue was just sitting watching as different emotions appear on her brother's face.
"Care to tell me what happened?" Yyan was already sitting by her side with his eyes closed.
Yyan decided to watch Yue from the guests side instead of going in the backstage. As he saw her striding down the catwalk, he can't help but be mesmerized by her. It was like seeing a different her but at the same time seeing the real her. Aloof and disdainful. As if nothing ever gets into her eyes. When her gentle gaze landed on him, Yyan can't explain how much he was overwhelmed with feelings. Right there and then, he wanted go to take her and never let her go. Wanted to hide her from those greedy eyes. Unlike Rei, he wanted to destroy the person who took the main outfit. Because of it, his Yue had once again attracted a lot of unwanted attention.
He wanted to take her home as soon as possible but the moment he got in the backstage she was already missing.
He tried to calm down and look for her, only to see her entertaining another guy. And it was Rei, the man she was supposed to be scared with. What happened during the short time he wasn't by her side?
He didn't know how he drag her away from the place but his anger was over the top. Not because of her, but because he felt threatened.
It didn't occur to him that one day, Yue might fall for another man. That he was just supposed to be her brother. That he have no right to keep her forever by his side.
And when he finally saw her condition, shouldn't he feel more guilty. She was actually attacked without his knowledge and allowed another man to protect her.
For the first time, Yyan didn't know how to take the next step.
His reverie was cut when Yue called his attention.
"Is brother not angry at me anymore?" Yue pursed her lips and looked pitifully at Yyan.
Yyan released his breathe and patted her hair.
"I'm not really angry with you. It's for something else and also for not being able to protect you this time" Yyan came up with a hurried explanation.
Yue can feel that there's something that her brother wasn't telling her, but she cannot just pry into his every personal thoughts. She decided to let him go this time.
"It's not brother's fault. You can't be around me every time. And this time was truly unexpected. Even I didn't think that this would happen" Yue was telling the truth and not just trying to comfort Yyan.
"Ms. Lancer attacked me. For some reason she had mistaken me for Moon. I don't think she realized that she got the wrong person. She seems to be out of her mind" Yue remembered Yyan telling her that she looks a bit like her past self at a glance. Ker also hinted that the dress was supposed to be worn by Moon. Added to the fact that she was Moon, her temperament and movements can really make one mistake her for her especially if they were not so familiar with her.
Obviously, Ashaina was not really that familiar with her face, probably just saw her pictures or from afar. They never really had an encounter before.
Ashaina must have really gone insane not to notice that she was talking to Yue Crest instead of Moon. That means, her bait was effective. She was also able to pick up some clues.
There are people who are looking for her and Ashaina didn't want them to discover her identity. But if that was the case, shouldn't she just hire someone to kill her instead of ruining her?
Yue had another hypothesis. Those people were already aware of who she was so Ashaina can't just kill her under their watchful eyes. But if she try to ruin her, maybe those people wouldn't want her.
But who are those people? Are they the ones who hushed all news related to her death? But why?
