Hundred Yard Stare

Jun smiled friendly towards Asli.

"No, I haven't."

"Really? Why did you have to think about it?" Asli asked jokingly.

An evil smile spread across Jun's face.

"Maybe I have, maybe I haven't."

Wei laughed when he saw Jun making weird faces that he would usually call "Evil Faces". He admired this part of Jun, the part where Jun could joke about anything without caring about it was one of the things he respected Jun for. No matter how bad the situation was Jun could always the think of a way to make the atmosphere lighter.

"Alright let's turn the bottle one more time and end the game."

Wei turned the bottle one last time.

It started spinning with speed. The view in the apartment looked comfy and relaxing as the bottle was spinning, it felt nice and warm to Jun and Wei.

The bottle started slowing down.

It eventually landed on Jun again.

"Yes!" Asli yelled with excitement.

'Aw man!" Jun started wiping his invisible tears from his face.

Happiness was written all over Asli's face.

"Truth or Dare?"

Jun's body dropped to the ground with his arms spread out.

"Truth, I guess."

Asli grinned with delight.

"Soooo...Do you have somebody you like?"

Wei's brows furrowed.

Jun sat up and made a cheeky smile.

"Well, I can't like anybody. I already have a wife."

Wei and Asli looked at Jun for 5 seconds before realizing what Jun just said and their eyes went wide in shock.

"What?!?" Both said at the same time.

Asli got up on her feet and pointed at Jun with a lofty manner.

"I command you as your Queen to immediately tell me the name of your wife."

Jun stood up and grinned at Asli.

"But you already know who my wife is," Jun said with full confidence.

"No, I most definitely do not."

Jun rubbed his eyes and stretched.

"Well then I'll tell you when you need to know, but for now I shall go to thy bed and collapse." Jun said with a tint of sarcasm.

Jun turned around and walked towards his room. Wei looked towards Jun's back and noticed that it was with a little bit of sweat and that Jun was dragging his feet. He guessed he was the only one who noticed but Dilay had noticed it too.

"Hey, Dilay can I sleep in Jun's room, because my apartment isn't ready yet?" Said Wei with a relaxed body posture.

"Yeah sure, Asli is also going to stay over as well."

"Thank you." Wei entered Jun's room.

"I wasn't going to stay over. What happened?"Asli looked at Dilay with furrowed brows.

Dilay smiled cheekily towards Asli as she opened a drawer and pulled sunflower-seeds out. Asli's eyes lit up.

"Are you saying we aren't staying up until 3 doing gossip?" Dilay said as she shook the pack of seeds.

"I am saying we are going to stay up way longer than that." Asli said with happiness written all over her face.

...

Wei got into Jun's room and saw that it was dark with only the moonlight coming from the window lighting the room up.

He heard the sound of water pouring inside the bathroom. He opened the door to only see Jun looking at his mirror with what the military called a "Hundred Yard Stare". It looked like he was looking at every inch in his soul.

Wei grabbed a towel that was on the hanger and threw it towards Jun's head.

"You shouldn't look in the mirror too much, it will make you see demons." Wei said with sarcasm coming out of his mouth.

Jun smiled towards Wei.

"And where did you hear that?"

"My mom." Wei said with his chest puffed out and chin raised.

"Well, then it must be true."

Jun splashed his face with water. Wei looked concerned towards his brother.

"Yo Jun...You okay?"

Jun took a deep breath and stood tall.

"Yep. Never felt better."

Wei's body froze on the spot, the energy that just got released by Jun felt like there was a gorilla standing in front of him with the intent to destroy his whole body into pieces.

Jun tilted his head at Wei.

"Oi, Oi did your soul leave your body or something?" Jun waved his hand in front of Wei.

Wei shook his head and then stared at Jun with wide-eyes.

"What?" Jun said smiling.

"Bro, what happened to you while I was gone?" Wei analyzed Jun top to bottom.

"What do you mean?" Jun said with a confused face.

Wei looked at Jun with narrow eyes.

"You sure nothing happened?"

"Yeah, why did you see something?" Jun checked himself in the mirror.

"Strange..." Wei muttered. He thought he was imagining things and shook his head.

"Hey Jun?" Wei grinned at Jun.

"Yeah."

"Do you like her?"

"Who?

"Dilay"

"Love is a luxury for me, brother...a luxury." Jun said as he changed into his pyjamas.

"Well that's a fucking lie." Wei didn't believe what Jun said.

"I'm serious, I don't have time for love I have other things to do."

"Like what exactly?" Wei raised his eyebrows at Jun.

"Well Blood and Swords. Speaking of Blood and Swords when you're your NBCC come?"

"Well they said they will bring it tomorrow, there may be a delay but they said it was probably not going to happen. What's so special about this game anyway?" Wei asked as pulled out his pyjamas out of the backpack.

"Your dad didn't tell you?"

"Nope."

"Well then I wouldn't tell this to anybody but since you are my brother you can get some information. The game Blood and Swords is a virtual game that you can control with your brain or the nerves in your brain if I was to be more specific, that means whatever you experience in the game will be transferred into your brain. For example, if you learn how to cultivate in the game, you can do it in real life. It is made by the World Nation Society and they put Keilo an AI they created to be in charge of it." Jun explained with passion.

"And? Do you know the reason why they created it?"

"That I don't know."

Wei sprawled on the cushion they had made from blankets.

"So you only know some information that others don't?" Wei asked with suspicion.

"Pretty much."

"Would you tell me how do you know this "confidential information"?"

"No, I won't."

"Alright, then."
