Ch 7 Dinner and Drama

EDITED

Twenty minutes later she came back out to meet the guys and they all stared at her again like it was the first time they saw her. Mahō had gave her a pair of well fitting high waisted bell bottom jeans and a blue sweater crop top that seemed to match the blue ends of his hair. "Your beauty never ceases to amaze us Fy nghalon" Cythrual said and the others nodded in agreement. She smiled and walked over to the guys "lets go I'm staaarrrvviinnnggg" she cried out and they all laughed heading down to the main floor.

On the way down they gave her a brief run down of how the building security worked and made sure she knew all the codes to get in the building, elevators and garage. When they finally made it outside there was a small convoy of three SUVs, she felt like a super star without the annoying paparazzi. They all fit into the middle one with Hele driving and the convoy took off. "When we get back we'll have your security badge and codes all set" Cythraul said. "Wait for what?!" Sara asked, confused. "We'll explain at dinner," he replied.

It only took about 20 minutes and they arrived at a very upscale looking restaurant and walked in as a group with her in the center. There was a large chandelier hanging from the main area's cathedral ceilings. The warm off white light reflected off of the crystals of the fixture creating a kaleidoscopic rainbow effect on the area. The walls were a warm beige and the floors a black marble and there were wooden tables that matched the floors.

Though the restaurant's multiple floors seemed packed, the chatter volume was low, overpowered by soft piano music. She felt way underdressed but the guys didn't seem to care since they took her here. "Welcome Mr. Fernandez, your reservation is set. Where would you like to sit?" the hostess asked Murciél. "Your pick mi vida where would you like to sit?" He asked. Sara did not appreciate being out on the spot and blurted out "down!"

"Of course, right this way" the hostess replied and motioned them to follow and lead them to a back private area. The downstairs had various seating styles, small settings for four, long benches and chairs and booths all strategically placed. To the right of the main entryway was the stairs to the second floor and straight back led to the bar seating. To the left was the first of the bench seats which started the main dining area.

Sara noticed all the women undressing the men with their eyes and part of her laughed because they had no idea they were all hers but another part of her wanted to claw out their eyes for looking at her men. 'Possessive ass mating bond?' she asked herself and shrugged. Some women then looked to her partially offended, jealous or outright confused. "Bench, booth or table?" The hostess asked, "booth please" Sara replied with a smile.

"Babygirl has such cute manners," Hele said with a smile and kissed the top of her head. She blushed and looked around as if taking in the restaurant's beauty so she wouldn't get in trouble for looking away. "So pwitty" she muttered knowing he could hear just to strengthen her alibi. "And here you are," the hostess said.

On the other hand the guys all noticed the men trying to oogle Sara and they shook internally with rage. They knew these strangers would never have a chance with her, but the fact that they had the audacity to look at her with such lust made them hostile enough to wipe out every patron in the restaurant and no one would know the wiser.

'Easy Cythraul, even the humans could feel the anger rolling off you' Hele spoke through their mind link. 'Yeah we really don't need a repeat of the Pandora incident ' Mala'ika added rolling his eyes. 'Okay wait you can't blame me for that. I had everything under control, no one told the kid to open the damn box. She shouldn't have even been in that room!' Cythraul defended and they all laughed.

They sat down in the booth with Sara in the middle, Mahō, Balaur and Mala'ika to her right and Cythraul, Hele and Murciél to her left. The hostess handed them all menus "your waiter will be with you shortly. Please enjoy your meal," she informed them. Before she could walk back to her post Murciél stopped her. "Can we have a female waitress please?" Murciél asked knowing full well he wasn't the only one who didn't want a man around their mate now...or ever to be honest. "Of course, Sir" she replied and walked away to make sure the staff knew of his request.

Looking at the menu Sara realized it was one of those places, overpriced food that tastes great but it made her uncomfortable because she didn't want to go overboard. "It's our pleasure to treat you as the queen you are and make sure you want and need for nothing. Get whatever you like, however you like" Mahō told her as if sensing her inner turmoil.

With a blush and nod of understanding Sara looked over the menu and stuck with what she knew. "so how did you guys find out about this place?" she asked nibbling on her bottom lip. They chuckled softly before Cyrthraul replied "Mr. Fernandez owns it fy nghalon."

"Well shit" she replied as the waitress came over. "Good evening, I can start with your drink orders while you guys look over the menus," she said. "Babygirl, I noticed you put your menu downa while ago. Do you already know what you want?" Hele asked. Sara nodded in reply with a 'mhmm', " words baby girl" he retorted. "Yes" she said and bounced in her seat a bit excited. "Ladies first" Balaur said and she ordered. "Can I get Fettuccine alfredo with chicken added and a glass of the white Moscato" then added: "Please and thank you" , using the manners Hele so loved.

She realized she kind of ordered a lot and looked to Murciél to see if he was concerned. It was one of those spots with no price on the food, but he did own the place. Paying her no mind, she guessed it was fine as the guys placed their orders and everyone gave up their menus. "Anyone have a phone I can play on, I lost mine...Please?" she asked like a sad toddler and Murciél handed her his.

Noticing he had nothing of the entertaining sort on his phone she downloaded a few games and her favorite reading app Wattpad. Praising herself with the fore site to link her accounts to her email she didn't even have to start over on her books or games. "Whatcha doing?" Cythraul asked Sara. "I'm reading this book called 'Always' on wattpad. Modern day girl gets yoted back in time by some freak magic incident and lands in the middle of a battle between humans, the Saints, and demons. Turns out she's actually the demon king's mate and he's basically trying to court her and win her trust etc etc. I just started it so yeah" she replied with a brief summary and went back to reading.

(😏 hint hint, cough cough. Before I start it, Ima finish this book first though...maybe lol)

The waitress came back with their drink orders and started handing them out. As she set down Sara's drink she nearly spilled the glass on her as she was too busy gawking at the men. Sara noticed the waitress eyeing Cythraul and a pang of jealousy blew through her. Sara leaned over and placed her chin on his shoulder and kissed his cheek before turning back to her book on Murciél's phone. He smiled like a kid in a candy store and the guys all chuckled. The waitress looked flustered and disappointed before walking away to put in their food orders.

"Who knew the love of my life was as possessive as me" Cythrual teased and they all burst out laughing. "I know not that which you speak of" Sara replied not looking up from the phone but she had a huge smile on her face. They enjoyed dinner and made small talk without incident until it was time to go. The waitress had realized Cythraul was not on the market but that left 5 other very viable options, 4 if she was smart enough to not hit on her boss.

"M'k so why all the security?" Sara asked as she stirred her pasta so it could cool and she could add more parmesan. "Well my brothers and I all run multi-billion dollar companies. With that money, power and pull comes enemies, so we have to take precautions of course." Balaur informed her. "So you all work together or run ya own shit?" She asked taking a sip of her wine. "All different companies and all different verticals" Balaur replied. "Me, I run ILSC. International Logistics and Shipping Corporation. Helps me get stuff or persons in and out of places without all the red tape nonsense. I work with countries all over the world shipping various types of goods and it makes me a top competitor. " he informed her as she chewed her food on aw. "g dmn, dsh ku(God damn that's cool)" she replied with a mouth full of pasta and chicken.

This time Hele spoke up "and I run the Green Life Foundation, we work in wildlife preservation and reforestation." Sara giggled "that's cute I get it" she replied and Hele gave her a knowing smirk. "I'm the head of Liberation Corp. We worked with nonprofits of all religions and charities as well as anti poaching and trafficking of people and animals. If you thought elephant ivory was a hot commodity, imagine an elephant shifters ivory" Mala'ika said shaking his head in disgust.

"I'm actually really glad yall are doing so much to help and fund things you're passionate about. Bonus point for including humans cuz I know we ain't always the greatest" Sara said to them proudly. Not that she needed more reasons to fall for them but here she was. "What about you mi rey?" She asked Murciél. Murciél wiped and imaginary tear and sniffled. "She called me her kiinngg" he said pretending to cry.

Everyone burst out laughing and Sara held her sides in the hopes shed get more air into her lungs. "I figured y'all had *breaths* nicknames for me *breaths* so I should come up wi*breaths*th some for y'all" she replies wiping away her very real tears of laughter. "Well I for one, love it! But to answer your question, I'm the CEO of Fernandez Communications. It's a conglomerate company that owns communications companies and media outlets all over the world. Helps regulate information, especially when a 'sup' starts to act out in public." He said with a smile and a wink.

Sara giggled at Murciél and his antics before turning to Mahō. He answered her question before she could ask "I am CEO of the Kyasuta Group. Much like Murciél's it's a conglomerate company that owns many different kinds of businesses under it. A jack of all trades so to speak." Sara looked at him through narrowed eyes and a scowl. 'Ima ask him. Yeah. Just do it Sara...' "Just do what?" Mahō asked with a smile. "YOU ASS YOU'RE READING MY MIND!" Sara whisper yelled and the guys are busted out laughing again. She groaned and went back to her food. "I'm sorry my love, you're projecting rather strongly, I couldn't resist. I'll behave I promise" he apologized giving a light bow. Sara grumbled a 'fine' before stuffing her face and completely forgetting to ask.

There was a loud and obvious throat clearing from the booth next to them "uh could you guys keep it down. My husband and I are trying to enjoy our meal!" An older woman asked them. They had no intention of acknowledging her but Sara was a Petty Lebelle at heart and gave no fucks at the moment. "You enjoy a meal by eating it, preferably with your mouth closed. Seeing as how that's not working out for you perhaps your husband could shut you up better?" She retorted to the old lady straight faced.

Balaur immediately busted out laughing, gaining some looks and he nearly fell out of his end of the booth. Hele and Cythraul tried to contain their laughter so they started turning red as a few laughs slipped through. Murciél looked to her with pride and a hidden glint of lust in his eyes and he smiled at her. Mala'ika on the other hand wasn't sure whether to laugh or die from embarrassment. The laughing eventually won out and he coughed into the crook of his elbow to play it off.

The woman scoffed and her husband looked red in the face and embarrassed. "Hunny leave it alone" you could hear him whisper as others returned to their respective meals. Gertrude, as Sara named her to herself, however didn't. "Who the hell do you think you are speaking to me like that. Don't think I won't call the owner of this restaurant and get your whorish ass kicked out. I mean honestly, six men? How much are they paying you?" Gertrude spat. Sara sipped her wine and placed it back before bursting out laughing.

Before Sara could reply there were respective growls from her mates and it got deathly quiet. Before anyone could retort, the hostess from before came over, "is there something wrong mam?" She asked Gertrude. "Yes! This HARLOT and her CLIENTS or JOHNs whatever are ruining our meal and causing a scene! I want the manager, no, THE OWNER. NOW!" The hostess seemed to have trouble keeping a straight face since she knew who the owner was, seeing as she was also a vampire, and that Gertrude just insulted her future queen, the hostess let her own petty shine through.

"It's unfortunate that you are having to deal with such a classless display, lack of self control and privilege. My deepest apologies...my queen" the host said turning to Sara and bowing. Sara's eyebrows nearly hit her hairline. "Mr. Fernandez, this customer would like a word with you in regards to her dining experience" the host said, turning to Murciél who was currently fighting to keep his eyes from changing and his fangs from elongating. Murciél stood from the booth and walked past the hostess up to Gertrude. "My queen" the hostess said bowing again before walking back to her post.

"I was told you were having trouble enjoying your meal mam?" Murciél started. Seeing as how Gertrude lost her steam all of a sudden he continued. "I believe you said that the love of my life was causing a ruckus and then threatening to call the owner. Well here I am. And it seems the one yelling and losing her temperament here is you" All of a sudden Gertrude's face turned beet red with rage again but Murciél spoke before she could. "Please take your meal to go and go home. It's on the house. That way you may enjoy it in the silence you so desire and the rest of my patrons can enjoy their night. I insist" he said with an undertone hiss. At this point Gertrude's husband stood up, the food already packed to go and grabbed his wife. "Deepest apologies" he muttered to Murciél before pulling his wife from the restaurant as her range turned on him.

They guys did the best they could to reel back the anger they felt but it radiated off of them in waves and made Sara slightly uncomfortable. In the awkward silence the pianist started to play Fly Me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra, a favorite of Sara's. She sang with the music putting all her heart into it and all her air into her diaphragm. Little did she know it calmed the brothers enough that their anger dissipated and they looked to her in awe and with love. "Is there anything you cannot do watashi no tsuki?" Mahō asked Sara. "Um. Magic, shape shift, fly, yanno" she said giggling. They all chuckled and finished their meals.

As they got up to leave the waitress came back and handed the bill directly to Balaur giving him a smile and a once over. Sara hadn't noticed but Balaur did. He pulled Sara over making her squeal a bit since he startled her and he planted a firm and domineering kiss on her lips. To drive the point home he bit her bottom lip gently and her mouth opened to his, their tongues battling it out before he reluctantly pulled away. Her face was flushed and she sat perplexed for a moment on Mala'ika's lap, since Mala'ika was between them. She shrugged it off and giggled blushing into Mala'ika's chest.

The waitress scoffed but shook it off and smiled. "I hope you enjoyed your meal, come again soon!" She bid them farewell before leaving to tend to her other tables. Murciél grabbed the bill and on the way out he spoke to the hostess and made sure it was the waitress' last night, giving the hostess the bill to clear out.
