Afterwards

A happy home of the Biobaku's family seems to have become a home stirred with bitterness and sadness.

What makes it more devastating and terrifying is the fact that for the past 2 days Mrs Biobaku has been in a state of Coma at the hospital, she hasn't had relieved breath since witnessing the scene of her brutally maimed daughter - Layo.

On the same note, Sade and Aduke has been hospitalized alongside with their mother, I guess they are not strong enough to handle the greatest shock of their lives respectively..

The case would have worsen for Mr Biobaku if the King had not taken total financial responsibility of the hospital bills of the Biobaku's family...

Even before the arrival of the bill, I guess Mr Biobaku has spoken to his legs cause he has been nowhere to be found since yesterday.

If he is alive or dead, no one can actually paint a picture of that.

There has been a crowd at the home of the Biobaku's family and at their wards of hospitalization.

Ayo might have proven to be strong after finding it almost impossible to stop crying, he was the only family member who was present at the cemetery where Layo's remaining was buried.. Despite knowing that it is far from being possible that Layo will ever wake up to say goodbye, Ayo couldn't stop profusely crying and chewing the words;

"You never said goodbye"

"You never said goodbye"

"You never said goodbye".

His bones became fragile and brittle, the endless tears have lightened and weakened his bones..

He has since then housed himself in the hospital where his family was.

At the hospital where series of the community occupants, friends and well wishers of the Biobaku's family are visiting to commiserate with them, even though the only person they could relate with was Ayo.

There, Ayo overheard the conversation of two women,

"You can't imagine, Mr Biobaku left his family during this hard time, is it that he has been expecting this to befall his family or probably he has something to do with the death of his daughter," A woman said.

"No!

Don't say that, be careful about your style of reasoning, be conscious of your choice of words and the thoughts you spread. We all know that Mr Biobaku can never do such a thing, he loves his children dearly, he has proven to be a father figure to his kids. This is a fact we all know, so please watch what you say cause no one is praying for such unfortunate occurrence to befall their family. We don't even know where he is, either dead or alive no one knows and you're sheepishly judging him, pray for him instead," another woman said.

The King and his entourage also came around to check on the recuperation of Mrs Biobaku, Sade and Aduke and to pay their condolences to Ayo.

"Ayo, where is your father?", the king asked.

With tears rolling down the cheeks of Ayo, he replied. "Your highness, he has been nowhere to be found since our first day at the hospital which was yesterday".

"Where could he have gone to at this time where you needed him the most?

Anyway, I'll send my guards out there to search for him. Stay strong Ayo, I have directed my maids to ensure that you regularly get fed alongside your sisters. However, the doctors said that your sisters are already responding to the treatments but your mom is yet to but they assured me that she will be fine. Lest I forget, in case your father returns before I know, tell him he shouldn't bother about the hospital bills, Stay strong Ayo."

"Thank you your highness", Ayo replied.

"Please inform the town crier to announce that there will be a community meeting at my palace by 4pm, we need to proffer soluble answers to this unrelenting challenge of kidnapping in our community. This has to stop now!" The king told one of his chiefs..

"Alright, your highness," the chief replied as they all left the hospital to return back to the palace..

"Stop there!"

"I told you to stop!!".

A voice sprang from afar in a concisely weeded desert after spotting Mr Biobaku channeling a wooden rope to one of the long protrudes of a tree hoisting himself with a bunch of twigs that are feeble to hold the weight of a man and to be discharged the twigs after the rope has well gripped the neck of Mr Biobaku to a point of breathlessness.

"This man is about to kill himself", a guard shouted.

"Wait, is that not the father of the girl that was butchered?", another guard said.

"Oh, yes!

Its him.

Climb the tree, loosen the rope, I'll disable his balance from below and carry him", the first guard analytically said.

"Please don't save me,

Let me just die,

I just want to die,

This life is no longer a place for me,

I want to return back to my forefathers", Mr Biobaku tearfully said.

"You won't die on our watch, we will not allow you to die", the second guard buttressed.

"Cut the rope, let's take him to the King", the first guard said.

Mr Biobaku who seems to have been unable to regain the balance of his feet due to starving for 3 days in the forest was aided with the firmness of the back of one of the guards.

They arrived at the Kings palace while the guards narrated their experience in the forest.

Mr Biobaku couldn't stop highlighting his ordeal with his recent unfortunate happenings.

"Will love to ask you,

'Does taking your life mitigates the disheartening happening or it adds more flames to it?', you are taking the wrong decisions at the wrong time. You still got kids to father, a wife that cares about you and all you could think of is taking your life, then I must say that I am disappointed in you", the king emphasized..

"Take him up, wash him up, feed him and cloth him", the king ordered.

At the hospital was Ayo, Ade and Ayeni sitting closely at the bed sides of Aduke and Sade after which they've both regain perfect consciousness respectively.

"Ayo!

Ayo!!

Come, come, your mother is awake", the nurse said longed after Mrs Biobaku has been deadly alive for 5 days in the hospital.

They all rushed to her ward even though Sade and Aduke whom also just survived the greatest shocks of their lives and still on actively running drips both carried their respective steel stand to go visit their mom. They all hugged and couldn't just stopped crying.

"Stay strong mom, we will buy you cars and houses," the seven year old Aduke said.

At the look at the entrance of the ward, they saw Mr Biobaku who was profusely crying and accompanied by one of the kings guard.

Mr Biobaku took few steps forward into the ward as they all hugged with tears.
