Tears Of The Innocent

A handful numbers of people came visiting the family of the Biobaku from the Holy Boys and Girls school to pay their condolences, the school where Ayo, Aduke, Sade and the late Layo were attending.

These numbers of individuals where leaded by Mr Ben while the rest of the visitors were just students. Perhaps, friends of the Biobaku's children..

Mr Ben who just got appointed as the Vice Principal of the school took it as a responsibility on himself to get some food stuffs for the family.

Knock, Knock..

"Good Day Sir", said Mr Ben.

Knock, Knock..

"Good Day Ma", reiterated Mr Ben

"They're at home", a student whispered which happened to be Ayeni.

Knock, Knock..

"Good Day Sir, its me Mr Ben. The Vice Principal of the Holy Boys and Girls School", said Mr Ben..

Each every person of the family seems to have been swooning in a depressive thought that they almost never heard that a number of individuals have been standing at their doorsteps.

"Oh, its your teacher", mr Biobaku said....

Ayo rose up from his brooding position to go unlock the door for the visitors to enter. He did all could to wear a gesture of pretense, to present himself well and fine but it was almost impossible for him to achieve such a great act akin to surrealism.

"You're welcome sir", Ayo honorably welcome his new Vice Principal.

The rest of the students also came in, some could find their way in getting seated while the rest maintained resting their weights on their feet.

"We are so sorry about your loss, the eruption of the unfortunate news broke the heart of the entire school. We regret ever having such bitter experience on our student. Layo was one of our best, she was a well cultured, well mannered and reserved girl, we regret ever losing her to the hands of an inhumane brutality and the unholy hands of death.. We are sorry for the loss, please accept our condolences", Mr Ben pathetically said..

Thank you for your humane gestures, thank you for your condolences. Its hard to accept but what choice do we have than to be strong?. We miss her, I miss my daughter, I miss my daughter", Mr Biobaku continued saying.

Mr Ben interrupted and consoled Mr Biobaku not to cry and offered him his handkerchief to dry his tears.

The Head Boy of the school who was also at the scene said;

"Layo was my good friend, she was a friend to the majority. We all couldn't stop crying knowing that we will never see her again but we know she is resting in peace, we believe she is in the best place. Stay strong sir, we are sorry for your loss.

From afar, Mrs Biobaku who was earlier sleeping broke into tears on her bed with her daughter (Sade) who couldn't also hold her tears..

"Why should it have been my daughter?

God, why?

God, why?"

As she continued crying, Sade consoled herself and her mom while she wiped off her tears..

"The King has made necessary donations and sponsors to your kids through our school..

He directed us to offer Ayo, Aduke and Sade the privilege to write their promotional exams during the one month holiday as the school is through with exams today and we will be vacating tomorrow.

The king also made necessary payment of the tuition fee for the whole next session, he said you should not worry about the payment and if any other payment arises during this period, he should be informed.

He also made free food available for your kids anytime they come to school", said Mr Ben..

"Help us to thank the King, we appreciate his heartfelt towards us. We appreciate every bit of warming and supportive gestures he has extended to our family during our trying times, indeed we are grateful, said Mr Biobaku..

"Take this as my personal means of support", Mr Ben moved all the food items and beverages he got towards Mr Biobaku.

"Again??

Thank you sir, may you never know sorrow", Mr Biobaku tearfully said..

Mr Ben moved few steps forward towards the spot of where Mrs Biobaku, Sade and Aduke were resting to get a minimized distance to their reach.

He said;

"I can't describe your pain cause I know I am not having one but I can describe the look on your face, it says it all about the pain you feel which can't be describe by the word of the mouth".

He continued;

"Losing someone we love at this inchoate age leaves a forever scar in the hearts of it's beholder, but ma, Lade won't be happily resting knowing that you are not fine, knowing that you're not eating and you're not healthy. Don't let her die for nothing, stay strong and make her dreams come true through her siblings."

"Thank you sir", Sade emotionally replied.

"Thank you for your words, we know we can do anything to bring her back just that I am feeling guilty.

It shouldn't have been Layo, it should have been me; her Mother. I would have laid my life down for her", Mrs Biobaku tearfully said.

She continued;

"Layo often says that 'she want to be a Doctor and she will build an hospital in my name', now tell me where has all those dreams and wishes gone to? They all died with her, an innocent soul that was life shortened by the kidnappers who tramples on the poor for their battle of political and power dominance.

"What an unfortunate time to be a Mother", she concluded.

Stay strong sir,

stay strong Mrs Biobaku,

Stay strong Ayo,

Stay strong Sade,

Stay strong Aduke.

The sun will rise and we will be happy again.

"My kids, thank you for coming. May none of you be a victim of this unfortunate befalling", said Mr Biobaku.

"Amen sir", the students chorused.

"Ayeni, stop crying. Please stop crying", Ayo encouraged Ayeni.

"I miss her, she often do teach me Civic education. Who will teach me Civic Education now?" Ayeni bursted out in tears as he laments.

Mr Biobaku and Mr Ben consoled Ayeni as they hugged him respectively..

Ayo also hugged him and other students too as they all waved goodbye with bitterness written all over their faces.
