Noah was looking down at the old ladies goods, seeing that she had some similar glass tubes that Sara the healer had in her bedroom. They started with a circular bottom and closed up to the top making it quite a good glass container to hold liquids.
"Is this something that healers use?" Picking up the container and looking at it in his hands, feeling how light weight it was. Engraved into the glass on the bottom there were two initials, S.S. Putting it back down and picking up its twin beside itself.
The old lady smiled up at him with a crooked smile, she had her top teeth missing and her skin was folding in on itself. "It is indeed, darling. Yet isn't just for healers, they were made by magicians first although I guess healers are just a branch of magicians.."
"I knew that healers used them but I didn't know magicians were the ones to make them." Noah's eyes opened up wide his hands being extra careful with it before putting it down on to the soft mat it had been on.
"Oh yes! They are very intriguing people, always curious! My brother used to be an assistant to one in the capital before heading away, he is yet to come back but until then I plan to just enjoy myself here in the heart of the capital." Closing her lips and smiling ear to ear.
"He sounds like quite the man, how long have you had a stall here?" Noah picked up another fragile glass item, a rock with an inscription written onto it.
"My brother is quite the misfit! Hehe, you should come by once he has returned from his journey!" The old lady cackled out, showing off the few teeth she had left. Noah had a feeling he had seen the inscription on the glass stone before and focussed some aura onto the glass rock making it light up a pale orange; the light seemed to make the old ladies eyes sparkle in enjoyment. "Did young Sir just become the owner of the empty shop? Could you be looking to set up your own wares store?"
The question threw Noah off but he didn't hesitate with his reply, "I don't have many plans for it right now, why are you asking? Could you be looking to expand?" Thinking about how much easier life would be if there was someone else running a shop in there - it would at least mean he wouldn't be the one in charge of cleaning it.
"Hehehe, Yes young Sir I have been an alchemist for a long time and it would be good to earn some more money - if the young Sir is willing could I possibly hire the shop space?" The old ladies tongue snaked out and wetted her lips.
"I have no issues with it as long as you keep it clean and pay rent in some way - I will ask a friend to see how much I should be charging. If you are an alchemist what is it that you are doing here? Why aren't you a healer?" Leaving the glowing orange stone on the floor and engaging properly with the old lady.
"How about I make you some useful potions? I see that you can use your aura, I can always make a few potions to get over the exhaustion from using too much! They are worth quite the penny, you know? I'm not a healer because I have no interest in helping others - I am not my brother." The last part came out in a quick snap, confusing Noah as she seemed to have a good relationship with her brother.
Noah nodded his head slowly, "Well if you can supply me with some potions that help me; it sounds all good to me!"
With that Noah told her he would get a spare key so she could move her small stock into the small warehouse room. Leaving her there gleaming after telling her this. He started to take a stroll around the other stalls however none of them had the same style of trinkets as the old lady had.
Just as he got to the end of the stalls he felt a pair of eyes on him, when he turned to look into the crowds of people that were wandering around him he couldn't see anyone, brushing it off and continuing to shop around.
Isan was walking swiftly to his personal quarters while trying to think of where Quin had disappeared into, he still hadn't managed to find anything out about where he had gone but all he could was look after Noah as best as he could in the meantime. In his heart, Isan could already feel that there was something special about Noah - or maybe that was just his memories of Noah's father and how they both seemed to surprise him out of nowhere.
He had been going over what Noah had been gifted by the Emperor and no matter how he thought of it; it was too much. He could understand if the Emperor had given him an opportunity to become a worker in the Keep but he had essentially given Noah a huge source of income as well as free reign, there was certainly something more to it.
He entered his room taking off his protective gear while thinking of ways he could help Noah grow and use his magic aura but finding himself hitting a blank wall - instead, he changed his approach on how Quin would come to train him and had only one thought, 'It looks like I have to have a little spar with him, I wonder how strong he actually is; enough to impress Quin but I guess I will just have to find out tomorrow. Then I can help him grow.'
