Both Noah and Isan crouched against two large trees, mouths agape as their breakfast was stolen in front of them. The two watched wide eyed as dragon opened its wings wide to drift on the air with its speed carrying it forward fast enough to make Noah strain his eyes at the speed.
The cat let out a whimper after hearing the roar and had tried to start off with a run, moving by the giant hog and into some forest but all that did was make it an easier target for this dragon to snatch up; the cat up in its left forefoot's claws while slicing the neck of the hog deep enough to send the blood shooting across the small plain.
With the hog dropping onto the ground which made a few small boulders in the clearing shake and wobble down a small hill in the clearing and into the forest. Noah felt like he was standing on the back of Hallan when he laughed the vibrations were that strong.
Trying to counter attack with what consciousness it had left, the hog turned to where the dragon had glided 20 meters in the air to its side and let out what might Noah thought was a growl but came out as a squeal. It took three steps towards the grey dragon and collapsed, the blood turning the dirt and grass beneath it a red river.
In the dragons claws the cat that had originally been hunting the hog let out cries for help, trying to scratch the dragons hide along the powerful claws but not even making a deep cut. It furiously tried harder; going as far to bite into the scales along the edge of the talons but all that did was make the dragon puff out smoke and roar, letting its tongue lick the scales around its mouth like a dog before a meal.
Sir Isan had slowly stepped back, trying to gently pull Noah without making too much sound. "I haven't seen a dragon like this before. Let's leave it to the meal and go hunt elsewhere."
Just as Noah turned to nod at Sir Isan he could feel the dragon's eyes fall on him. The heavy beating in the air from its wings was the only thing that could be heard after it had squished the cat tight enough to suffocate it to death.
Everything felt still for Noah; when the dragon had first dropped into the fight and taken care of their breakfast, Noah had felt like his heart had doubled up in speed. It felt like someone was hammering a bell n his head to make him remember something but all he could do was stare open mouthed.
When Sir Isan had quietly called out to him he had felt like he was tearing his eyes off a friend that he hadn't seen for years but the closest people to him that could even be considered like that was his mother and a few people from the village. He just couldn't take his eyes off the dragon for how much he reminded him of Aurelius.
As they had turned to walk away but could feel the dragon's eyes on him he stopped like a deer in front of a carriage. He couldn't even twist his neck; he could only feel the two eyes of the dragon staring him down so could Sir Isan who was starting to sweat from the pressure given out from the dragon.
He used magic to try and call Hallan to them just in case things went sideways as they had seemed to be doing with his luck. When Hallan had gotten the message he was in the middle of chasing another dragon around at the far edges of the Sil zone but knew he should stop and turn back to his bonded partner, as he wouldn't normally ask for help with a dragon.
Noah finally managed to find the will power to turn to the dragon which had stopped beating its wings and lowered itself onto the ground below, its front feet landing into the hog's blood and making it create waves and go further on the ground.
Sir Isan couldn't even turn around he felt like the dragon was giving out a magical aura to supress him into facing the dark woods as if it didn't want him to see what it was up to behind his back, with his young disciple. He even tried to speak out loud to get Noah to start running as he didn't trust the situation but he couldn't get his body to move at all.
The dragon's giant steps echoed as they got closer and closer to the two humans.
Noah stared up at the giant dragon, raising his hand and letting out a whisper from his lips. "…Aurelius?" Doubting his own memory as he let the soft sound of his partner's name out. The magic aura that the dragon had been naturally letting out suddenly exploded and suffocated Sir Isan; who had no choice but to faint as the magic messages he tried to send Noah couldn't get through the magic aura of the dragon.
As the aura of the dragon seeped out in a rush and exploded causing the Sir Isan's reaction it raised itself on its back legs standing like a mountain in front of Noah; then jumping at him and using its snout to push the boy down. Noah felt like the pale cat from before, his body was being pushed deeper and deeper into the ground as the dragon rubbed its grey snout against him.
Yet even with everything going on the dragon had not hurt him, its aura was pushing the dirt down equally with Noah so it was like he was sinking into a sea of dirt and the dragon was only showing affection towards him.
Noah finally burst out with his bonded name as he realised he was right, that was his partner that had somehow come to the capital nuzzling into him. He could only smile and laugh as he tried to push the dragon back; only causing him to sink deeper into the ground.
