Chapter Sixty Five: Reunited (Part 4)

Aurelius pulled his wings in and let his weight drop in a final bid to catch the flying Noah who wasn't slowing down at all. The grey dragon grabbed the legs of Hallan and flipped himself underneath him.

Noah stretched his arms out and managed to clasp them around his bonds neck, using his aura to strengthen himself as he clung on; he looked up at Hallan's chest and shouted with all his might, projecting his voice with aura, "I said STOP!"

Aurelius roared along with Noah, Hallan starring down the two as they stayed hovering in the air. The two dragons finally restraining from fighting each other.

"Fly down to the lakeside. We need to talk." Noah shouted out to make sure both of the dragons could hear him before pulling himself onto the bottom of Aurelius' neck. Trying to grab a hold of anything he could to keep steady.

The two dragons let go, both huffing but only Hallan letting smoke blow out of his nostrils. They were both injured from their small scuffle but being dragons it didn't seem to matter too much to them, they were both proud.

Aurelius landed first, leaning down so Noah could hop off his back; Hallan dropped down just behind them and growled at the two.

Noah had to initiate a connection with Hallan so he could speak properly to the dragon that had narrowed its eyes while staring. Hallan slowly walked in circles around to two of them.

'Little human, do you know this useless beast? It doesn't even talk or speak to its own kind.' Hallan stopped and leaned closer to Aurelius both dragons growling at each other.

"Calm down please, Hallan." Stepping between the two large dragons. His mind working in overtime as to how he was going to explain everything to Isans bond. The memory of Alaric telling him not to even mention Aurelius to anyone.

'Calm down? Boy, this mutt of a dragon tried to suppress my bond. He deserves to be taught a lesson - when you hurt a bond you will be hurt back multiple times more.' Hallan threw one of his claws at Aurelius, trying to scratch the grey dragons eye.

Aurelius snapped back avoiding it and roared at Hallan unconsciously releasing his aura, Noah finally snapped. Releasing his aura at the same time. Anger surged through Noah at the dragon not even waiting two minutes to listen to him.

"I said STOP!" His voice boomed, the ground shook. Black aura flicked in and out.

Hallan slowed down and lowered his head slowly while Aurelius embraced it and fueled his own aura into Noah's body, his aura got darker and darker.

"Aurelius is my bond. He is my partner and dragon. He didn't mean to hurt Sir Isan! He is still a child!"

Aurelius was growling through it all at Hallan except the last part where he turned his head sideways and looked at Noah, 'argh?' Shaking his head and then staring back at Hallan, curling his lips and snarling at him.

The blue dragon had his head lowered staring at Noah after he finished shouting, the black and grey aura seeping into the ground and disappearing but Noah standing tall fiercely staring back at Hallan.

'Small human, are you trying to joke around with me? When did you ever get to make a bond with a dragon? You also understand a child dragon does not grow that fast. This beast is clearly a full-grown mute.' His eyes flickering to Aurelius.

"I know how it sounds unbelievable but Aurelius hatched and slept with me when he was first born - I can't believe how quickly he has grown either. When I left him he was so much smaller than he is now." Noah stroked Aurelius foreleg who had stopped snarling at this point and just stared down at the older dragon.

Hallan stood still staring at the two of them, unsure of how to take it. Noah decided that he needed to come clean to someone he could at least trust Hallan.

'When did this happen? Isan left you with Quin, not a dragon egg. If he is still a child it somewhat makes sense that he can't speak for himself but this is ridiculous. Why didn't you tell us when we came and took you back to the keep?' Hallans tailed flicked over and over while asking questions.

Noah told him the whole story. He told him everything from how Quin would train him to how he ended up in the flower garden and the stone dragon. To feeling the beating of Aurelius' heart in the dragon's egg.

The dragon curled his tail around himself while listening to the tale while Aurelius turned his head and licked his own wounds clean after realising that Hallan wasn't going to attack him randomly through Noah telling his story.

Hallan listened to the whole story until where Noah finished his story of how when he came back from the garden of flowers and found Quin's home wrecked with bodies everywhere. The blue dragon nodded its head and looked between the two of them.

'I knew you were hiding something from us but I didn't realise it was such a large secret. Child how old are you then?' Hallan asked while looking at Aurelius who had gone to sleep waking up to Noah rubbing his snout.

Aurelius sent some images of the time he had been alone with Alaric but Noah couldn't tell how long it had been, "Why don't you show Hallan, Aurelius? He might be able to tell how long it's been that you were alone with Alaric."

The grey dragon glanced at Hallan before snorting and turning away and circling around so he couldn't see the blue dragon.

'Pfft what a child. He must still be at least within his first year of infancy but how did he grow so big so quickly? To not even master words yet and still have to rely on such basic communication he has a lot to come. It is strange to think that you are a dragon rider now although I guess it is for the better with everything going on right now.'

Noah nodded, as he still didn't understand how Aurelius grew so quickly. Hallan basically confirmed that dragons don't normally grow that quickly. He presumed that the time was adjusted in the garden and where Alaric stayed.

'Child where did you leave Isan? I think its time we go get him and bring him up to speed with everything going on here.'
