Chapter Sixty Four: Reunited (Part 3)

The two dragons floated apart, staring each other down. One with a circle of blue aura and the other shining a grey light from itself. Their wings the only sound that could be heard within a few kilometres.

Hallan snarled, his upper lip coming back as he ferociously growled at the young Aurelius. Flapping his wings down and pulling them to the side as he flew straight into Aurelius, planning to swipe him down and teach him a lesson.

Pushing his blue aura out to shock the young dragon, Hallan expected that bc he wasn't preparing to fight like a dragon normally does he had the advantage. Yet, as soon as his blue aura reached Aurelius it felt like he was flying in heavy winds and being forced back.

Aurelius used his tail and swiped at the blue ball of aura, filling his tail with a grey aura. The impact of the two auras forced an even stronger gust of wind against Hallan, making him choose to fold his wings and drop down.

His new plan was to force Aurelius to try and fly up, then with his aura he would make it so the slightly smaller dragon would drop out of the sky because he couldn't fly as fast or as strong as himself.

Hallan unfolded his wings and dashed forward trying to get underneath but Aurelius used his head and hit down with enough force to cause a small torrent explosion. There was a clap of the air and Hallan suddenly felt a great force on his aura, he strained his neck up.

Aurelius was circulating his aura through his forelegs and swiping at the blue aura bubble, his mouth was wide and the air was forced out in circles by his aura causing a small aura tornado to eat through the blue sphere and force it out of the way.

Snarling, Hallan lowered the blue aura sphere and flew up to Aurelius, taking him by surprise. He flew around the tunnel of air infused aura and bit into Aurelius' neck. They fought in the air, clawing and biting chunks out of each other.

Aurelius was at a disadvantage just due to the small size difference alone, but that didn't stop him from fighting back with everything he had. Using his back forelegs to swing and grasp at Hallans stomach.

Noah was able to struggle up against a tree and stand on his own two feet. His back hurt he could feel it ache and strain, the wind had been knocked out of him. He had just properly gotten it back and was leaning on his shoulder against the tree while breathing in and out slowly.

Slowly pushing himself off the tree he looked around, the two dragons had left and disappeared but he could still hear the flap of their wings, Hallan's roars. He tried to use his aura to connect to either of the dragons to get them to stop, but it was no use.

Turning and see Isan laying on his stomach, he took one step after the other. Eventually being able to walk quickly and properly, he got to Isan and knelt on one knee. Checking his breathing first and then doing a check over his body, he seemed reasonably fine. Noah knew that he was going to probably be fatigued from what had just happened but he needed to wake him up.

"Sir Isan, wake up! We have to stop them! Sir Isan!" Noah grabbed the older mans shoulders and shook him lightly trying to wake him up, but it wasn't useful at all. The thought crossed his mind to try and slap Isan like Quin had done to himself whenever he had been knocked out but decided against it.

There was a roar in pain from the dragons and Noah knew he had to get there soon or something dreadful might happen. He took off his shirt and tore it into strips, twirling the strips together to increase their strength before using it to tie Isan onto his back.

He had to take a minute to focus on his breathing, feeling the aura in the air and absorbing it into his body to strengthen himself. Using it to easily lift Isan onto his back and tying the cloth strips in front of his chest.

With Isan on his back, he started to do his best to jog over through the forest to the sounds of roars from the two dragons. The two looked funny jogging through the forest but Noah, heard a terrifying scream of pain - he couldn't tell which dragon it was but just before it happened his left shoulder felt like it was being stabbed.

He had ignored it thinking that it was part of Isan's clothing digging into him but he wasn't as sure anymore. Gathering the aura that was already in the air and himself he focused it into his legs and jumped forward.

Branches slashed at his face, arms and chest but he managed to protect Isan from most of it - each branch dug through his skin and cut him deeper and deeper as he flew through trees and up into the sky.

He could see the edge of the forest in blurry vision and the two dragons. Hallan had one of his forelegs claws deep into the grey dragon's wing, blood was flying out and onto water beneath it; turning it from a blue to a bloody red.

Falling back through the trees Noah was thrust face first and ended up rolling from the force, laying on his side and groaning. He had his eyes closed while untying Isan and standing back up.

"I'm sorry Sir, but I need to hurry now." Picking up Isan and leaning him against a tree. He could hear roars and heard another painful scream when he heard it he could hear Isan groan - his face grimacing.

Noah turned and started to run towards the end of the forest, a little plain of grass was all that would be left between him and the small lake. Using his aura to speed himself up, he would push off of tree roots and force himself further much quicker.

He shot out of the tree lines and into the plain cutting the distance into 2/3rds within a second, keeping his eyes on the dragons. Hallan now had a gash across his snout and a big cut to his chest. They had both fallen to just thirty metres above the water, Hallan had Aurelius in his claws and was essentially keeping them both a flight.

Seeing his partner in dire straights seemed to spur something inside of him and all of a sudden his aura seemed denser and heavier. He pushed off the ground and found himself shooting across what was left of the plain and over the water.

"STOOOOOOOOOOPPPP!"

He had his arms out ready to grab a hold of at least one of the dragons, his aura fluctuating out of his control and expanding around him as he reached them. Both dragons had heard him at the last second and turned to look at him in confusion.

Aurelius flapped his wings as hard as he could aiming to catch the flying Noah but Hallan also aimed to do the same thing. Both dragons ended up hitting their heads against each other as he fell towards them.
