Extra 12: I choose you! (10)

After making the intentions of the Pokémon League clear to the three sisters, he continued on his journey, but not before going to Bill's so he could talk about some things he was curious about.

He delayed a day in getting to the young man's lighthouse, only to frown when he saw that the creator of the [Pokémon Storage System], seemed to not be home.

"I guess my journey here, was in vain" - Kurama muttered as he looked out to sea, only to see something that surprised him - "Huh?"

Kurama slowly released Salamance and told it to fly in that direction, only to open his eyes in surprise because he saw something he never thought he would see, a giant Dragonite.

The huge yellow dragon roared as it saw Kurama approach its location, only to launch a powerful Hyperbeam

"Evasive maneuver, Salamance and counterattack with Dragon Claw!" - Kurama exclaimed as his partner dodged the attack and imbued its claws with powerful green energy - "Mance!"

"Aow!" - Dragonite cried out in pain as it felt its opponent land a hard blow against its massive being, something that caused it to go into a state of uncontrolled rage.

Kurama narrowed his eyes when he saw this because it wasn't normal for a Dragonite to be so violent, after all, this species was mostly peaceful.

"ROAR!" - Dragonite roared fiercely as it launched a powerful Hyperbeam, one that was comparable to that of a raging Gyarados.

"Shit, Salamance, dodge, and use [Double Edge] to get close, then use Flamethrower!" - Kurama exclaimed as Salamance followed his instructions.

The sound of the Dragonite roaring in pain echoed in place as Salamance retreated to a safe distance.

The giant Dragonite's eyes seemed to be completely red from the fury it was feeling, so without a second thought, he launched himself at Kurama at an impressive speed.

"[Extreme Speed]!" - Kurama exclaimed as his pupils shrank.

"Mance!" - Salamance went flying at full speed from the impact as Kurama tried his best to stay stable on top of his partner.

"The difference in size and weight is too much" - muttered Kurama as he wiped his sweat as he saw how Salamance had stabilized, only to notice how Dragonite continued to move in his direction - "Tch, looks like that Dragonite doesn't want to let us go, Salamance!"

"Mance!" - Salamance nodded in irritation, after all, it was the first time in years that a Pokémon had managed to beat him in a confrontation.

"You want to go all out?" - Kurama asked as he raised his right hand, showing off the bracelet that held the strange stone.

"Sala-Mance!" - Salamance roared as his eyes flashed fiercely.

"Way to go, partner!" - Kurama exclaimed as he leaped as high as he could - "[Mega-Evolution]!"

A powerful multi-colored light surrounded Salamance's body as his silhouette changed to a more streamlined one. Her once quadrupedal body had now taken on the shape resembling that of an airplane with wings in the shape of a Crescent Moon. His legs had retracted to have greater speed and his expression was much wilder than before.

"Mance!" - Salamance roared as he felt his master land on his back once again.

"Come on, partner!" - Kurama exclaimed as Salamance disappeared from its former location and reappeared in front of the confused Dragonite - "Double Edge!"

"Mance!" - a light blue aura surrounded Salamance's body as it fiercely struck its target, and in the process knocking it back a few steps.

Dragonite showed a pained expression on its face as it stared in shock at the wound left by its smaller opponent's attack.

[Aerilate], the ability that Salamance acquired when it Mega Evolved, was an ability that converted all normal-type moves into flying-type moves and boosted them by 25%.

Dragonite didn't understand what was going on, but that didn't change that it comprehended that its opponent was now much stronger with its strange change in appearance.

"Salamance, let's take advantage of it being confused and use [Hyperbeam]!" - Kurama commanded as he looked closely at the enemy Dragonite.

"Mance!" - Salamance nodded as it concentrated a large amount of energy into its snout.

Dragonite understood its precarious situation, so it quickly mimicked Salamance's actions and prepared to launch its [Hyperbeam].

Kurama quickly released Latios and jumped on him because it was obvious that this last confrontation between the two dragons, would be a devastating one.

"Tios?" - Latios looked confused at his trainer as he watched the battle, after all, he didn't know what the fuck was going on.

"I'll explain later, buddy" - Kurama replied as he sensed his partner's confusion - "For now back off to a safe distance."

"La-tios!" - Latios exclaimed as he nodded calmly.

The two dragons quickly launched their attack while a huge shockwave originated from the impact of the two [Hyperbeam].

The mist that surrounded the place, dispersed as if by magic while the two powerful dragons continued their confrontation.

Salamance was starting to get tired.

[Mega-Evolution] was a process that caused great stress on the Pokémon, and it didn't help that Dragonite was a beast, an opponent that not only had it on the ropes, but with its enormous power, it was still barely holding its own.

Dragonite had earned Salamance's respect in just one fight, and he only wanted to defeat it so that his trainer could capture it and then he could have a worthy opponent to train with.

Dragonite was also surprised and happy about this battle, after all, this was the first time she felt she could lose. Exactly, she, Dragonite was a female, but none of that mattered right now.

"La-tios?" - Latios was beginning to wonder if it was better to help Salamance, but when he noticed how his trainer shook his head, he calmed down and continued to watch.

The battle between the [Hyperbeam] of the two dragons, continued for another two minutes until the two titans stopped.

Salamance's [Mega-Evolution] had been canceled and was barely flying while Dragonite was falling limp into the sea.

"How are you feeling, buddy?" - Kurama asked as he approached where Salamance stood next to Latios.

"Mance" - muttered Salamance as he looked tiredly at his trainer, although inside he was happy to finally have a good battle.

Latios watched his partner happily, after all, he understood the excitement Salamance must have been feeling.

As a dragon type, they were looking for worthy opponents to help them continue to get stronger.

"Ok, rest my old friend" - Kurama replied as he returned Salamance to its Pokeball, then signaled Latios to approach Dragonite - "I see you're happy too".

Dragonite watched the human silently for a few seconds before nodding. She had to admit that Salamance was an interesting Pokémon, one that she wished she could continue to face.

"Do you want to come with me?" - Kurama asked with a smile as he noticed the Pokémon's emotions.

Dragonite maintained its silence before nodding.

"Welcome, buddy" - said Kurama with a smile, but his expression changed to one of embarrassment when he noticed the annoyed look the Pokémon was giving him - "Oh, sorry, welcome, lady."

"Drago-nite" - nodded the Dragonite as it was sucked into a Pokeball.

"That was a bit awkward, don't you think so too, Latios?" - Kurama asked as he scratched his cheek - "Though the most surprised will be Salamance when he finds out the truth."

"Latios" - nodded Latios as the two flew towards Saffron City, after all, that was their next target.

The league had heard rumors that the current leader of that Gym, was acting a bit strange.

"I wonder if she'll be able to downsize" - Kurama said as he gained Latios' attention - "I ask why if it's not possible, then Salamance will have a hard time."

". . ." - Latios gave his trainer a blank look, only to shake his head.

"Don't give me that look, I'm just thinking for my friend" - Kurama snorted as he noticed how Latios was ignoring him - "Tch."

Kurama continued on his journey, unaware that in the lighthouse, Bill had been observing everything from a distance with his telescope.

"Wasn't that Kurama-dono?" - Bill muttered as he frowned because that name was that of the CEO of the [Aether Corporation], as well as the missing husband of the corporation's current chief scientist, Lusamine Uzumaki - "What is he doing in this place? No, the key question would be, why hasn't he contacted his family?"

Bill was silent for a few seconds before making a few calls to some contacts.

"Professor Oak, it's a pleasure to speak with you again" - Bill said as the Pokémon professor spoke from his Xtransceiver.

"Young Bill, it's a pleasure" - smiled Oak as he looked at the young prodigy - "Tell me, do you need anything from me?"

"I'd like you to give me the contact number for Lusamine-dono of the [Aether Corporation]" - replied Bill as he looked at the professor - "It's something important."

"Do you want to contact them to merge your technology with Professor Kukui's to create a portable PC with the ability to modify the trainers' team during their journey?" - Oak asked excitedly.

"Hmm, not a bad plan, in fact, I was thinking the same thing" - replied Bill as he started to formulate different theories, only to shake his head - "Oh, sorry."
