"I-I guess we all have our problems" - nodded Rito with embarrassment because he didn't expect Ren to be so open about his sister's female problems.
Ren raised an eyebrow as he noticed the boy's discomfort - "Did I say something strange?"
"N-No, it's just that I hadn't heard a boy of our age talking so naturally about his sister's problems" - Rito replied while scratching his cheek - "If I'm honest, I'm embarrassed just remembering those problems because Mikan is a bit violent."
"I see, I guess I'm going to have to moderate myself when these kinds of topics come up" - nodded Ren as he started to think - "I appreciate your honesty"
"You don't have to thank me, it's the least I can do for a friend" - replied Rito as he moved his hands erratically.
"Friends?" - Ren repeated with surprise - "We're friends?"
"Sure, we hang out together, we talk about awkward things, and we're most of the time in the same group, that sounds to me like something friends would do" - replied Rito as he scratched his cheek.
Ren was silent before nodding because the brown haired boy's words made sense - "You're right, it's good to have a new friend."
Run smiled when she heard this because she could see how her brother was opening up to other people.
"That aside, shouldn't you be looking for your notebook?" - Ren asked when the two reached the classroom.
"Right, thanks, Ren!" - Rito exclaimed as he walked into the classroom and grabbed the notebook he had left under his desk - "Ok, I'm ready, we can go back."
Ren raised an eyebrow - "Go back?"
"Yes, now we're going to go to karaoke with Naruto-san and the others" - Rito replied with a smile - "Actually, we were waiting for you to come out, so we could invite you."
Ren was silent as a small smile appeared on his face - "Thank you."
"Oh, a warning, Momioka is with us, so be careful with her" - Rito replied as he looked at the boy.
"Why should I be careful with her?" - Ren asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"I think she likes you" - answered Rito seriously.
"She likes me?" - Ren said with surprise as he remembered the perverted girl with light brown hair.
"I'm not sure because I've only liked one girl, but all the signs are there" - replied Rito with slight insecurity.
Ren remained silent while talking to his sister - "What do you think?"
"Honestly, I also think she likes you, I mean, she's constantly trying to get your attention" - replied Run as she pondered - "If I'm honest, I think this is a good opportunity to make the first step. Momioka-san is a cute girl, and if you can get her to control herself a bit, she could be a good match"
Ren blushed slightly as he nodded weakly.
"What's wrong?" - Rito asked as he was surprised by the sudden change in his new friend.
"S-sorry, I was talking to my sister, and she blurted out something that embarrassed me" - answered Ren as he coughed to change the subject - "Anyway, I agree to go with you guys"
"Great, let's go" - smiled Rito as the two boys walked towards the exit.
* * * * *
"It's an interesting group, although from what I see, it revolves around Naruto Uzumaki and his fiancée" - said Saki while narrowing her eyes - "Anyway, is everything ready for tomorrow?"
"Yes, we just need to give the invitation to Lala Satalin Deviluke" - Rin answered while looking at her mistress.
"Perfect, it's good to hear that everything is going as we planned" - said Saki while smiling slightly - "As for the Judges, I guess it will be the principal, the nurse and Kurama-sama."
"Kurama-sama?" - Rin repeated as she raised an eyebrow at the way her mistress was calling the first year teacher.
"I've heard a lot of things about him, and so far they're all good" - said Saki with a small smile.
Rin didn't answer, she was just fulfilling her mission, her mistress's decisions were none of her business. She just had to support Saki and make sure she was safe.
"By the way, where is Aya?" - Saki asked as she looked around curiously because she hadn't seen her second assistant and good friend.
"She's organizing everything for the school festival" - Rin answered honestly.
"Oh, I guess I'm going to have to thank her for taking over, after all, that was my job" - nodded Saki as she let out a small laugh - "What do you think could be a good reward, Rin?"
"I'm sure she's not looking for a reward for her services, Saki-sama" - Rin replied calmly.
"I know, but I have to reward my subordinates who do a good job, that's one of my duties as a member of the Tenjouin family" - said Saki proudly - "Besides, my father would never forgive me for not responding to the good deeds of my dear subordinates, don't you think the same, Rin?"
"I only carry out your wishes, Saki-sama, you don't have to ask my opinion" - Rin replied while shaking her head.
"Rin, we've known each other since we were kids, right?" - Saki asked as she looked at her childhood friend.
"Yes, the Kujou clan has been the servant of the Tenjouin family for generations" - Rin replied as she bowed her head.
"I know, your father told me the history of our families, but I'm not asking you about this for such an irrelevant reason as the relationship between our ancestors" - Saki replied while looking at her friend - "I'm asking you, because with all the time we've known each other, you should understand me by now, but I see that you don't."
Rin was silent for a few seconds before sighing - "I'm sorry, Saki-sama."
"No, don't worry about it" - Saki replied as she shook her head - "I just want to tell you that you don't need to be so inflexible, Rin. Remember that what I need, is a friend who can stop me when she sees that I'm doing something wrong, someone who can tell me what my faults are so that I can improve as a woman, I don't need a servant who just accepts my orders without worrying about the consequences."
"I promise I will live up to your expectations, Saki-sama" - Rin replied as she looked directly into her mistress' eyes.
Saki just smiled, only to hear someone knocking on her office door - "Come in."
"Sorry for the delay, Saki-sama" - said a blue-haired girl with glasses.
"Oh, Aya, dear, you came at a good time" - said Saki with a small smile - "How are the preparations going?"
"Everything is on track, our class decided to have a maid café, and we have already chosen the representatives" - answered Aya while adjusting her glasses - "I already made a budget for you"
"Good job" - smiled Saki as she took the report from Aya and started to read it carefully, after all, this was one of her future roles as the next head of the Tenjouin family as well as the next CEO of the family company - "Perfect, I'm still in awe of your administrative talent, I'm even already looking forward to our graduation, so I can sponsor your college career to work for me"
"It will be an honor to continue working for you, Saki-sama" - Aya answered honestly, after all, it was the two girls in front of her who helped her since she was a child, even Saki had made her father able to work at Tenjouin corporation.
Thanks to Saki, she could not only go to classes without having to worry about her family's financial stability, something that had previously caused her to be shunned because of her poverty.
"Thank you, Aya" - smiled Saki as she looked at Rin, who seemed to be frowning - "Rin, remember that you will always work by my side, so you don't have to be so jealous."
"I'm sorry, Saki-sama" - Rin replied as she bowed her head.
"Seriously, I already told you that you should relax a bit, maybe enjoy a bit of our time at school before we move on to college" - Saki said as she shook her head, only to notice how she had been ignoring her current objective - "Oh gosh, I got distracted for a moment and forgot that we were talking about my little confrontation with Lala Satalin Deviluke."
"I'm sorry for distracting you, Saki-sama" - Rin said with a serene expression.
"Oh, don't worry, it's my fault for having so many things running around in my head" - replied Saki calmly as she narrowed her eyes - "But leaving that aside, I'd like you to call the principal and the nurse to serve as judges for tomorrow's little event."
"And what about Kurama Uzumaki sensei?" - Rin asked as she raised an eyebrow.
"I'll take care of him" - Saki replied with slight interest - "I wonder how Lala will feel seeing how her future father-in-law prefers another girl instead of her, Ho, ho, ho ~!"
Aya and Rin looked at each other while shaking their heads because it seemed that their leader was not concentrating on the right reason to defeat Lala.
