Extra 19: Change the World (50)

"How are you feeling?" - Sango asked as she looked at her friend.

"Yeah, I just don't know how to react now that I've been reunited with Inuyasha" - Izumi replied as she sighed regretfully.

"Are you sure you don't want to talk?" - Sango asked as she sat down next to the black haired girl.

Izumi remained silent before letting out a sigh and nodding. She quickly told her the whole story of what had happened with Inuyasha, only to notice how Sango stood up silently with an aura of death - "Where are you going?!"

"Isn't it obvious? I'm going to have a little chat with that idiot" - Sango replied neutrally as she picked up her trusty giant boomerang - "I'll be back in a moment."

"Don't do anything!" - Izumi exclaimed as she caught her friend - "Why does everyone want to hurt Inuyasha every time I talk about this?!"

"Isn't it obvious?" - Sango said with a frown - "Izumi, you're a good girl, someone kind and caring, that's why people resent idiots like that boy for hurting you, I guess that explains why your father took you away from him"

Izumi was silent as she bit her lip - "I understand, you don't have to do something violent, I can handle this on my own."

"Is that what you told your father?" - Sango asked as she raised an eyebrow.

"No, I told him to stay out of my business and that I could make my own decisions" - replied Izumi as she folded her arms.

"I understand, you're going through that phase" - Sango said as she shook her head.

"Why are you acting like you're so much older than me?" - Izumi asked as she rolled her eyes at her.

"Because mentally I am, I've lived through a lot of things than you" - replied Sango as she folded her arms - "That's why I understand that you have to be going through that phase where all your parents try to do is oppose your wishes."

"No, I just want Tousan to accept that I have to make my own decisions" - Izumi snorted as she frowned.

"I understand, and I share your opinion, the problem is that there are better ways to say it, than just yelling at your father to go fuck himself because he doesn't want to see you hurt" - Sango said as she shook her head.

"Did I say it wrong?" - Izumi asked with a frown.

"Yes" - nodded Sango as she motioned her friend to sit next to her - "I'm sure at that moment you must have been upset, so I'm not going to lecture you, I know you're not happy with your father meddling in your romantic life, it's just that you have to put yourself in his shoes too."

"In his shoes?" - Izumi repeated as she raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, think about it" - Sango said as she looked her friend in the eyes - "What would I have done if you saw how someone was playing with your younger sister's feelings?"

"I would have slowly torn him apart" - Izumi replied as she growled fiercely.

"So. What's the difference between the way your father reacted, with yours?" - Sango asked as she watched the girl's eyes widen in surprise because the two situations were basically the same - ". . ."

"You noticed?" - Sango said as she shook her head.

"Yes..." - Izumi muttered regretfully - "I'm a hypocrite.... Aren't I?"

"Possibly, though it's not like I can blame you, because anyone would act like that if they see how someone precious, is hurt" - Sango replied as she smiled at her - "I would have acted just like your father if I saw Kohaku being hurt by a girl he had just met, and he had given his heart to her."

"But he is not to blame for the situation, it was all too fast" - Izumi said with a frown.

"Let's better change the subject" - Sango said as she shook her head - "I want to know what you will do now that you are together with him again"

"I... I don't know" - Izumi replied as she lowered her gaze - "I'm sure that my father did something with Inuyasha while I was unconscious, so my interactions with him may backfire."

"Are you sure about this?" - Sango asked as she raised an eyebrow.

"I can't be 100% sure, but the probability is quite high" Izumi replied as she frowned.

"How did it go, Miroku-sama?" - Hachi the Tanuki asked, who was sitting meditating until he heard the door to his room open.

"Good, the view is wonderful" - smiled Miroku as he shook his head - "Too bad I couldn't get in because we ran out of money."

"Yes, it's a pity..." - replied Hachi as he let out a sigh of relief - "Did you discover anything interesting?"

"I managed to find out a lot of things, though nothing that is related to our main objective" - replied Miroku as he let out a sigh - "I wonder what those girls are up to?"

Hachi was silent as he watched in surprise as Miroku was sitting on the bed. Normally, he would have gone to try to scam some people, so he could get enough money to get into a brothel, that was Miroku's way, the perverted monk.

"I feel like you're thinking something rude, Hachi," Miroku said with a frown.

"Not in the least, Miroku-sama, I was just hoping thinking about how calm you've been during the day" - Hachi replied honestly.

"Am I normally that wild?" - Miroku asked as he raised an eyebrow.

"Let me be honest, and answer yes" - nodded Hachi earnestly - "Normally this would be the time when you would get money one way or another, and go off to enjoy the wonders this town had to offer."

"I guess it's because I don't feel like going to the brothel today" - Miroku replied with a frown - "Maybe because I remembered my grandfather's story and about how our family ended up cursed..."

"Does that mean our income will be a little more stable now that you won't be going to the brothels in the other towns we go to?" - Hachi asked excitedly.

"In the slightest, this is a one-day thing, possibly tomorrow I'll be going as if nothing happened" - Miroku replied as he smiled slightly.

Hachi's face impacted against the ground as he felt depression invade his insides.

"Relax, young Hachi, I'm sure you'll soon understand the reason for my actions, though for that you'll have to find a cute tanuki" - Miroku said as he let out a small laugh.

"If you were in a stable relationship, I might take your words into consideration, Miroku-sama" - Hachi replied as he gave him a blank look - "But since that's not the case, I don't think you have the moral right to say this."

Miroku's expression froze before he let out a sigh - "I suppose you're right, though it hurts to hear it from you, more so when you know the reason for the way I act."

"I understand that you want to live your life to the fullest before being sucked into the curse of your hand, but that doesn't mean you have to let your lust rule your actions, more so being a monk" - Hachi said as he frowned.

"Don't you think it's a bit funny that I, a monk, one of the servants of the gods, am a womanizing and lustful man?" - Miroku asked as he smiled slightly - "I think this has been the reason why many women have approached me in order to get to know the story of this interesting monk."

Hachi let out a sigh for it was obvious that his master wouldn't change for anything in the world, though now he wondered who would be the woman with enough patience to be able to control this annoying monk.

"What do you think, Yura-san?" - Kagome asked with a serious face.

"That this meeting is too much of a coincidence" - Yura replied while frowning - "Three groups with the same goal gathered in the same place, I think it's too strange, it's as if someone tried to gather us in this city for an unknown reason."

"I think the same thing, I have a bad feeling now that we are all reunited" - Kagome said while shaking her head - "I feel like someone is controlling me to come to this place, like I'm nothing more than an actor in the middle of the stage"

Yura was silent because she didn't feel like that, in fact, she felt out of place, like she had no business being here. She tried to ask Shippo if he felt that way too, though to her surprise, the little Kitsune said he didn't feel anything weird, in fact, he felt slightly relaxed with those two groups by his side, which confused the hair demon even more.

"Am I overthinking?" - Yura muttered before shaking her head - "No, my instincts have only failed me once, and that was when I first met Kurama-sama.... Come to think of it, during that time I also felt something strange..."
