Extra 19: Change the World (63)

Two days had passed since Kagome's group had visited the Uzumaki clan's home, getting to know the family completely, and to their embarrassment, the first thing Miroku did when he met Kurama, was to kneel in front of him and beg for his knowledge. This embarrassed the girls, though they quickly decided to ignore it.

That left us with the current situation, Izumi and her group traveling to try to get the pearl shards, and thus stop Naraku's plans, and the Uzumaki family restructuring the golden city, although not everything was happiness, because there was someone who was a little upset.

"Not yet?" - Ayame asked as she frowned.

"I'm going to tell you again, because you seem to have forgotten" - Kurama said with a frown - "I can't revive him if I don't have something that was his that has his essence in it."

"Isn't there another way?" - Ayame asked regretfully because no matter how hard she searched, she hadn't found anything that belonged to Koga, and even if she found something, it was possible that it wasn't his property, and in that case, Kurama would be doing his technique of reviving the dead and the result wouldn't be favorable for her.

"No, now if you'll excuse me, I have some meetings to finish with the leaders of some nearby Yokai tribes" - Kurama said while shaking his head.

"Quick question, what happened to the little Kitsune?" - Ayame asked as she noticed that little Shippo was nowhere to be found.

"He decided to go with Kagome now that I gave him his new training regimen" - replied Kurama calmly as he shook his head - "Anyway, you better leave for now."

"You want me out?" - Ayame asked with annoyance before giving a loud stomp - "Ok, I'm leaving!"

Kurama was silent as he watched the girl run out of the room.

"You should be nicer to that girl, no matter what natural age she is, she's still a teenager" - Kushina said as she appeared beside her husband.

"I'm not going to be nice to a spoiled girl who throws a tantrum when things don't go her way" - Kurama replied as he gave her a blank look - "Putting that aside, is everything already organized?"

"Yes, we're done with the preparations, not to mention that the modifications to the barrier weren't difficult" - Kushina answered with a smile - "How are your experiments going?"

"I haven't been able to continue because I've been busy with the city preparations" - Kurama replied with a frown - "Although seeing how things are progressing, I think I'm going to concentrate on the project in another day or two."

"How confident are you that the experiment will end with favorable results?" - Kushina asked with concern.

"Relax, I don't plan on stopping until everything is perfect, worst case scenario, I'm going to keep you in temporary stasis if I take too long" - Kurama replied as he let out a heavy sigh.

"You don't have to over stress yourself, Kuro-chan, we can revive, remember?" - Kushina asked as she stroked her beloved's chin.

"I know, it's just that I'm not sure what kind of restriction this dimension will give you if I revive you" - Kurama replied with a frown - "It's possible that you'll lose your memories, or directly reincarnate, just to spit in my face."

"Is the attitude of the dimensional will of this place that bad?" - Kushina asked in surprise.

"Yeah" - growled Kurama as he recalled his interactions with the dimensional will - "Anyway, I think we'd better change the topic of the discussion."

"What do you want to talk about?" - Kushina asked as she raised an eyebrow.

Kurama quickly put up a privacy barrier around his office, which made the red-haired woman blush because she thought they would have a little couple time. The ten-tailed Kitsune gave her a blank look before explaining the general situation.

Kushina blushed again, only this time out of embarrassment she felt, though she quickly understood why her husband was putting so many security measures in place - "You say this woman will be our new sister?"

"Yes, our daughter will have serious problems in the future" - Kurama replied with a frown - "The point is that I'm not sure if I can resist watching her suffer, that's why when the time comes, I'm going to have to disappear so as not to ruin my little girl's future"

"I understand, though it's a bit worrying" - Kushina muttered as she started to think - "Is this something that will happen to us too when we become Yokai?"

"I'm not sure, although I don't think that's the case, I mean, we already possess a natural chakra network that can be mixed with the Youki of this dimension, the problem is that we can't directly implant..." - Kurama muttered, only to widen his eyes at the thought of an opportunity - "It's possible that I can create a pseudo chakra network so that I can facilitate the assimilation process!"

"Kuro-chan, I'm not a scientist, but I'm sure that's not how genetics works" - Kushina said as she looked at her husband.

Kurama was silent as he again let out a sigh - "God, I'm so stupid..."

"No, you're just a father worried about his unborn daughter, which is cute and a little weird" - Kushina replied with a smile - "Putting that aside, are you going to try to conquer this woman?"

"No, it's better to let everything develop normally, after all, I don't want to start a relationship just because we're already destined to be together" - Kurama replied while shaking his head.

"Oh, that's cute" - smiled Kushina as she pressed a kiss on her beloved's forehead - "Do you want me to inform the others?"

"No, it's possible that this could reach Irasue's ears, and that would create a lot of problems that are best ignored" - Kurama answered as he pondered.

"I have another question, Kuro-chan" - Kushina said as she looked carefully at her husband - "You didn't have any problem with sending Izumi-chan and her friends in the right direction?"

"No, it seems like fate was just trying to balance the scales, and now that that Naraku guy got his way, fate decided it was time for them to meet again" - Kurama answered as he pondered.

"This place is getting more and more interesting" - Irasue said as she walked through the streets of the golden city, or at least that was what the inhabitants called it even though its color was of the most normal.

She had been in this city for a few days and had seen how multiple Yokai were arriving one after another and living in harmony, though this had her confused, after all, this city shouldn't be so well known for other Yokai to migrate so easily. It was as if someone was spreading rumors of the city, and unbeknownst to her, she had hit the nail on the head.

Kurama had sent clones in disguise to different spots in order to spread the rumor that there was a new city that would house Yokai, Hanyo and humans alike.

Humans were the most puzzled by this, although some poor humans decided to try their luck because they knew they could not continue living in their current situations. They hesitated for a few days before taking their families and pilgrimaging to this new city, although when they arrived, they understood that their decisions had been correct. They had not only found a home to protect themselves from the cold, but they had also found land to work on to pay for what they had gained.

The Yokai also hesitated a little, although the weaker ones, seeing how they could not survive without protection, were the first to come to the city and see what it was all about. Kurama was strict with them because he knew who they were dealing with, so he quickly explained the laws and the benefits. The Yokai were not very happy, although they quickly accepted the orders of the Kitsune Daiyokai, although they quickly understood that these laws were not so bad, because it seemed that now there was no need to consume human flesh or other weaker Yokai, although this was not much of a problem after consuming the food of the city, which gave them enough energy to exist and grow.

Finally, the Hanyo were the last to arrive. This was because being discriminated wherever they went, they were a bit skeptical of the idea of having a place to belong.

"Interesting, very interesting" - Irasue muttered with a small smile as she continued walking with a relaxed expression - "I wonder how this city will flourish in the future?"

Irasue walked towards the nearby park, where she saw human children, Yokai and even Hanyos who came with their families, playing together.

"I didn't think I'd see something like this, though it's understandable" - Irasue said while shaking her head - "Mostly because the Yokai have the instinct to look down on humans, and by default the Hanyo..."
