Extra 19: Change the World (73)

A long time had passed since Kurama had had that little incident with Miroku, time that things were changing by leaps and bounds.

The golden city was becoming more and more famous, to the point that plenty of Yokai, humans and Hanyos were showing up every day.

The adventures of Izumi, Kagome and the others were also bearing good fruit, and although Naraku had managed to get a new body, they continued to move forward without looking back.

Ryu and Sango had started a relationship after a certain incident, as had Kazumi and Kohaku.

The relationship between Izumi and Inuyasha was also moving forward, even after the half-human, half-dog boy managed to remember Kikyo, after all, the experiences he had lived through together with Izumi were a lot greater.

Kagome felt a little out of place with so many couples in their group, more so when she had noticed how Miroku had changed for the better and was trying to talk all the time with Mito, who could only sigh because it seemed that his father had caused a strange effect on the perverted monk.

Shippo had decided to return to Kurama to continue his training, while Yura had managed to get her physical body, one that she could say was hers, which she quickly " debuted" with her master after she talked it over with the other women of the Uzumaki clan.

Oh, and speaking of them, they had all already gone through the process of changing their race.

Kushina was now a Kitsune, which wasn't much of a surprise when she had been the Jinchuriki of the former Kyubi no Yoko.

Mikoto was a Tengu, though to her relief, her appearance hadn't changed much, except for the two black wings that had sprouted on her back and the strange mask with huge nose that amplified her powers.

Anko was a snake woman much like a lamia, while Kin and Tayuya were Onis like Tsunade.

Hinata didn't need to change her race, she managed to awaken her Otsutsuki blood after Kaguya traveled to a dimension and stole the Shinju fruit, while Hanabi became a Yuki Onna.

Temari had been among the blessed few and had transformed into a Fujin, while Pakura became a Salamander.

Tsume had become an Inugami, and the others had also taken on different types of races, or even created new species, like for example, Shion who had not changed much, only her skin was now much paler, she had gotten strange multicolored wings, and now all her powers were channeled into a strange crystal sphere that she could use to see the future, for which, Kurama had decided to call this new species, Xatu in honor of a monster from one of the video games his children played.

Thanks to the huge variety of monsters next to Kurama, the Yokai started to call him Nurarihyon, the commander of all demons, which was funny to him because he honestly did not resemble the description humans gave him in the future, although now he understood why humans treated this Yokai with so much "respect".

* * * * *

"Supreme commander" - said an Inu Yokai who was under Tsume's command - "We have detected a growing dark influence in the north of our city, possibly someone is trying to perform a ritual."

Kurama frowned slightly as he pondered. He hadn't changed much over the past few months, in fact, the only difference was that he was wearing a Buddhist robe and was tying his hair into a long ponytail - "Have you sent someone to check out the situation?"

"Yes, a group of Kitsunes along with a human squad" - replied the Inu Yokai as he looked their leader in the eyes. It was no secret that the supreme commander had human and Yokai servants in equal parts, there were even some Hanyo, proving that it was better not to discriminate because it might cause the Daiyokai's wrath.

"I see, what about my wives, have you received any information from them?" - Kurama asked as he shook his head.

"Tamamo-sama hasn't said anything so far, Sojobo-sama said she hasn't detected anything in their area, while Shuten-sama hasn't responded" - replied the Inu Yokai as he watched his commander frown slightly.

Kurama let out a sigh as he thought about his 3 wives who had decided to investigate a little further away from the golden city.

Tamamo no Mae was the name Kushina had chosen for her after reading the history of the future, a decision Tsunade also made by becoming Shuten-doji and Mikoto transforming into Sojobo, the Tengu that inhabits Mount Kurama they name after him. Basically, the girls were enjoying themselves after transforming into the mythical creatures that even in the future would be remembered.

"I think those three are enjoying it too much, just like Kaguya..." - Kurama muttered as he shook his head as he remembered how the Otsutsuki woman had decided to play along with the others and transformed into the Kaguya, the princess who came from the moon.

- Narurihyon, the supreme commander of the demons.

- Tamamo no Mae, the beautiful and fearsome Kitsune witch.

- Shuten-doji, the sadistic queen of the Onis.

- Sojobo, the furious Tengu of Mount Kurama.

Kurama was a bit confused as to how his wives managed to achieve such titles that would be known even in the future, to the point of becoming distorted and ending up in what the Japanese know as legends.

"Kuro-chan ~!"

"Kushi-chan?" - Kurama said in surprise because he wasn't expecting his wife to show up just now when he was thinking about her - "What's wrong?"

"You won't believe what happened!" - Kushina exclaimed as she wiggled her little nose and frowned - "Some idiot emperor tried to kidnap me to make me his wife!"

"Oh..." - Kurama felt like he was about to have a huge headache as he listened to his wife's tale.

When she finished, he had no choice but to ask her what she had done after she tricked that emperor.

"Simple, I used one of my pretty subordinates to take my appearance and taught her how to seduce that idiot" - Kushina answered proudly, because it was quite obvious that she wouldn't let even a clone, act all mushy with a man who wasn't her husband - "Last I heard, she was enjoying the good life while playing pranks on the emperor..."

"Well, one less unknown" - sighed Kurama as he shook his head - "How long will that transformation last?"

"I think a few days, after that I told my little Kitsune to go back home" - replied Kushina while tilting her head.

Kurama was about to say something else, when he heard his cell phone start ringing - "Yes?"

"Kurama, I have to inform you about something..."

Kurama raised an eyebrow because he could tell the irritation in his wife's voice - "What's wrong?"

"Tayuya did her trick..."

Kurama's expression darkened as he heard how Tayuya had gone to a nearby village and destroyed everything in her path after seeing how it had been occupied by a group of thieves, who had abused the women and killed all the men, including children. No, that wasn't the problem, but that he had let some thieves escape so that they could announce that there was a new master in place, the mighty Shuten-doji.

"Seriously, that idiot..." - Kurama sighed while holding the bridge of his nose - "What about the women?"

"They are with us, though I think they are taking too much pleasure with the survivors..."

"Are they torturing them to death?" - Kushina asked curiously.

"Oh, you're with him, Kushina, and to answer your question, yes, they are enjoying themselves as they slowly dismember them, though it's not like I can blame them."

"Neither do I" - Kushina replied as she shook her head.

"Another one down the list..." - Kurama muttered as he understood why Tsunade was considered the sadistic queen of the Oni, possibly because she put women who were abused and still had a deep hatred for men under her command, which would explain her such savage actions in the future against men who attacked Tsunade's "kingdom".

"Ok, I just wanted to explain about the situation, I'll contact you when something else happens, or I discover something interesting."

"Understood"- Kurama nodded as he cut the call, though his expression changed when he heard his communicator ring a second time- "This has to be some kind of joke..."

"I don't think it's Miko-chan," Kushina replied as she shook her head.

"Kurama, I'm calling to inform you that I just destroyed the temple on Mount Kurama because they were performing demonic rituals."

"You were saying?" - Kurama asked as he looked at Kushina, who at least had the decency to look in another direction to hide her embarrassment, after all, her best friend had just slapped her in the face after defending her.

"Did I say something weird?"

"No, you didn't do anything, Sojobo, the furious Tengu of mount Kurama" - said Kurama sarcastically.
