1. This is a slow-paced story, because of this ROMANCE CAME LATE FOR THE LEADS. I'm saying this again, LATE. There's a huge reason behind this, if you will be patient you'd get there. 
2. Male Lead is weak AT FIRST. As this story is slow-paced, character development took a while. 
3. Female Lead will start to reawaken around Chapter 80 and ML will rise into his full potential shortly afterwards--once you start reading you'll know why it took this long. 
4. This book is not just about the romance part, it is also has a lot of mystery and later on, action in it.

The next few days flew by. Their new allies arrived, and the mansion felt like it was a packed house most of the time as representatives from each group were always at the beck and call of Qing Chen. Everybody was always on their feet, running supplies and keeping a close eye on everything in Chengshi. Nothing should be able to escape their watchful gaze.

Among other things, the Qing family was worried about the civilians. Still, they had to erase every connection that would point to them. There was too much at risk, and they might be on the verge of a collapse if one thing went wrong.

Feng Xuan was always on the move, making sure that everything was well in the companies while Qing Chen busied himself with the matters of the mafia. She reasoned that he was feeling incredibly ill this season and stood as his replacement for the time being.
