Of Course It Can Get Worse

As William enters the city again but this time with Ban the zombies are again attracted to the very loud quad and another swarm of around 140 start to gather and follow the quad throughout the streets, due to the quad being obviously faster than the zombies they quickly get left behind in the dust near a school...

Inside the school.

If anyone was able to see into the school they wouldn't be able to see anything except for blood, as soon as a single zombie managed to get into the school a massacre happened as you would expect, most of the students and teachers never stood a chance and those that might have were bitten and turned due to the enclosed spaces and the sheer number of zombies and people. Inside all of the classrooms there are a few zombies that got left behind due to them not being able to catch up and now dont know how to get back outside, except for the maths classrooms on the 2nd floor as all of them except one have been completely cleared of any zombies. All that has been left of them are the dead bodies of them, except that none of them have any heads as it looks like they have been blasted off by an unstoppable force. Inside the one classroom that still has zombies there is another massacre going on, but this time it's the zombies being killed not people, and the culprit for a these deaths? A small tomboyish girl standing at only 5.4 with short black hair is weaving between the zombies and when finding a big enough gap is punching them straight in the head ultimately killing them, but the long the fight lasts the slower she gets and each zombie is taking more punches to kill...

After a few minutes all the zombies are dead and the girl sits in one of the few desks not covered in blood and takes out some sandwiches and starts eating them like she didn't just kill a dozen zombies...

The zombies that were following William and ended up near the school heard all the noise from the fight and swarmed the school slowly filtering through the doors and into the corridors, as they stumble up the stairs to the upper floors the girl finishes her sandwich and heads into the next classroom, quickly painting its already red walls in a new layer of blood...

William obviously knew about the swarm of zombies that was behind him but he also knew that none of them could keep up with the quad as the fastest zombie he had seen was only sprinting, when he lost the main bulk near the school he thought nothing of it as he had only seen two other people in the city, so how could there still be anyone in the school...right?

This time instead of heading to the massive office buildings he followed the trail of blood covered road to find the huge swarm he saw the first time he entered, as the only reason that the swarm would have moved would be if people had passed through, so any nearby zombies would most likely been added to the swarm. The only reason that William was looking for the swarm is to see if his parents were in it, if he saved any survivors then that's great for them. It wouldn't help or hinder him if he did save anyone, but he won't go out of his way to save anyone unless he directly caused the problem as it would only be fair, if there was no reason he had to help them he wouldn't. If he died then who would look after Annabel and Ban, him surviving is more important than him going out of his way to save people...or at least that's what he keeps telling himself because he knows deep down that if someone needed his help and asked him, he most likely wouldn't be able to turn them down.

As he's thinking about this he can hear the sound of gun fire getting slowly closer, at first the shots were controlled and calm but as more time went on they became desperate and faster before finally less and less shots were being fired off...

William, who realised what the shots meant but the quad into high gear and moves his hands and foot away from the break and went full throttle, speeding up drastically and headed in the direction of the shots.

As he got closer to the sounds of battle, William quickly caught up to the slowest zombies he had to swerve past them as ramming them would destroy the quad and leave them still standing with not even a scratch...

After a minute or two of dodging zombies, William caught up to the main bulk of the zombies and quickly realized why the people were so scared. First off even though many zombies had been left behind, the hoard in front of him must have over 8000 zombies at least and they are all trying to kill the small group of 5 people, it looks like the people went out to get more food and supplies but managed to attract the attention of the hoard and because of the supplies they cant outrun them.

At the front of the hoard and the zombies closest to the people are two zombies who look like they were apart of the group but must of lagged behind and gotten bitten...the only problem is their speed. They are the fastest zombies that William has seen so far and even at that they are quicker by quite a lot, the only reason that the group isn't completely dead is their guns. Somehow the two zombies seem to know how dangerous the guns are and if they see someone about to shoot them they will quickly dodge the shoot and focus on whoever tried to shoot them.

When William saw how big the hoard was he quickly went down one of the roads branching off to the side and got ahead of the hoard and almost beside the group...as he got closer to the group they started to take quick glances whenever they had time to at him, most likely checking to see how close he was to them. He quickly gets in front of them and rams the two fast zombies flinging them back into the hoard, but he quickly looses sight of them but decides that they must be dead by now, turning back towards the group be gets beside them and slows down.

"Hey need any help with that stuff? If you want I could put it on and drive with you so you can get there quicker." He asks them while stopping the quad and watching to see their faces.

One of the 4 men of the group who looks to be the oldest, maybe in his late 40s with get black spikey hair and a small scar down his left cheek looks him up and down before answering in a gruff voice. "Why would we need any help from a kid like you, you probably gonna run as soon as we give you are stuff so screw off before fill your head full of lead." After this he turns round and starts walking as fast as he can with his supplies. The rest of the group followed him except the youngest of the men who looked roughly the same age as William, he had neon green hair and green eyes (sorry couldn't help it lol) he look at William for a few seconds before...

"Do I know you from somewhere, I feel like I know you from somewhere, do I?" he asks in about a millisecond.

"To answer all three of your questions...yes you idiot, how can you not even remember me, we are literally in like 80% of each others classes, except for when you don't show up..."

"Wait wait don't say your name its coming to me...BILLYBOB right? How could I forget you!"

"...yeah no. I think you were trying to say William, so now that that's cleared up are you going to go join your little squad or are you going to take me up on my offer? Cause I don't think it's a good idea to go with them at this point."

"I'm actually quite tempted to take you up but I don't know how they are gonna react to it, but that's future me's problem not mine!" he shouts as he notices how close the zombies are getting before jumping on the back of the quad and securing the supplies to the back rack.

As William sees that everything is secure he quickly speeds off leaving the zombies behind again and taking any shortcuts he can see while asking where is he ac6meant to take him.

"We made camp in the shopping centre on Tully Rd, so as close as you can get to it without being shot would be best."

Hearing what was just said William nearly crashed the quad, a SHOPPING CENTRE how in the world did them manage to clear that out and if so why were they out looking for supplies, it should be packed with enough stuff to keep them well fed for weeks at least, unless they had half the city of course, even so there must have been better places to make a base than a shopping center, how hard is that going to be to protect from everything?!

After a few minutes of alleyways and shortcuts they both make it to the shopping centre, thankfully green neon hair isnt that hard to notice and the guards let them in with relative ease. Once inside the "base" which is literally just a shopping centre with a few armed guards outside William gets off the quad and hands all the supplies over to Mr Green before turning with the intent of getting straight out if there, but only to find that the guards that were outside had moved inside and closed all the doors.

William looks at them in disbelief, do they actually think that just Closing the doors, not even locking them would stop him getting out? Ok the guns might be a problem but hey, who would be stupid enough to stand in front of a moving quad.

But before he can breakout of the shopping centre he hears a large commotion and turns round to see that a large crowd of about 30-40 people had appeared, he can also see that they all look scared, but not of him or what's outside. No No they look scared of the guards who are protecting them, after a few tense seconds of the 3 groups staring at each other the sound of multiple heavy boots can be heard, at this sound the survivors get a terrified look in their eyes and the guards quickly get back into guarding stances and start to watch what's happening outside the store.

William turns round to see who he has to deal with now, only to quickly exclaim.

"Fuck! Why him of all people!?"
