'It's more like he treats me like a priceless treasure' Hazel responded after putting much thought into it.


For whatever reason, it was obvious that Will valued her presence. He wanted to keep her around and she was willing to bet he wouldn't do anything to jeopardize that. She wasn't sure why the thought of him never initiating a kiss left her oddly disappointed.


She had never expected any romance out of this marriage before. Billy Lawson hadn't been that great of a boyfriend and he was the only one she ever had.


How could she have any expectations of love after that? The person she thought he was had abandoned her and he was the only one she ever loved. Having a crush on someone else, no matter how small, was entirely new territory.


Her feelings for Will weren't as deep as the ones she held for Billy. He had been there for her during the worst time of her life and she would always love him for that.
