A Tight Ship

Will checked his email on his phone as Hazel snoozed on his chest in bed. He scowled when he saw one from Roberto. What was it now? Why couldn't they seem to function without him even though he had left them behind?

Honestly. He was of half a mind to delete his encrypted email account, throw away Alfonzo's old phone, and simply disappear.

They wouldn't be able to find him. Or give him away since they didn't know his name or what he actually looked like. His legitimate businesses that he had started with the dirty money were doing well enough that he and Hazel should be able to keep traveling using that alone.

But he was a paranoid man. It was better for him to stay minimally involved to keep an eye on those idiots just in case.

Will had only bothered rising to the top so he could leave. Now that he had mostly left, he wondered if his paranoia would ever decrease enough that he would be able to live his life in peace.
