John sighed, wishing he knew for sure whether or not Billy Thornton was dead. He didn't think he would be able to rest easy until then.


The Blade had the most chilling smile he had ever seen and claimed his son was just like him. Further research into Billy's past revealed that he had been a quiet, studious boy who was known to have occasional violent outbursts.


He managed to track down the kid who had nearly been strangled. Carl Henderson had an awful lot to say about the matter.


"All I did was tell him I saw his mom kissing someone in front of a diner. Looking back, it was pretty insensitive of me but I was just a kid! I didn't know any better at the time. He got the coldest look in his eyes I've ever seen and said I saw wrong. When I insisted I hadn't, he called me a liar.
