An Invitation

A few weeks after Will and Henry finally began bonding, Hazel received an invitation to join the Taylors for dinner. They ate around five-thirty so they could put the kids to bed at seven, which was around the time she and Will normally ate.

The only potential obstacle in her path was her antisocial husband. She asked him tentatively if they could go and he sighed and said "anything for you" before kissing her cheek.

They bundled up the baby before heading out because it was already chilly out. Hazel wanted this to go well because she valued Diana's friendship so she made sure they all looked nice.

Henry spit up all over his outfit earlier so she changed him into a little jumpsuit with cartoon monkeys on it. Dressing him up was so much more fun than she would have anticipated since she never played with dress-up dolls when she was younger and had no experience dressing anyone but herself.
