Not The Only One Freaking Out

Diana was utterly unsuspicious so Hazel's lies had worked. She smiled pleasantly and sipped her tea.

"I'm sorry to hear about your parents but it's nice that you found someone who loves you by coming here. My husband Craig was my next-door neighbor growing up and he was such a pest! I didn't find out it was because he liked me until much later.

"We got married when I was in uni and had Charlotte shortly afterward so I didn't finish. I'd like to go back someday but it's a bit difficult right now with two small children under foot. He's a barrister and does well for himself so at least I don't have to work."

Diana set down her tea cup. "But enough about me. Tell me more about your baby. Is it a boy or a girl? Do you have a name picked out? What do you want to know about the birthing process?"
