The police were all searching for her. Sergeant Acheki knew it was rare for an individual to display multiple powers. Most of them would use a maximum of two never more, but Akaisha wasn't normal. She showed the use of three maybe even more. It gave him a guilty conscious. It was illegal to use any form of superhuman traits even if she was doing it for a good reason. He was back at the station trying his best to look into her. Thinking her name in the search box didn't yield any results. "What are you hiding Miss Morningstar? Why can't I find anything about you?"
Akaisha had gotten well into the desert by the time her car stalled. She checked the gauge first to see that the crystal was empty. "Damn it. I wasn't expecting any of this to happen." Not having anymore crystals to put in her car she grabbed everything she packed up and took Blue out of the car. "Sit Blue." Akaisha peered off into the twilight searching for the leash. She found the bangle finally and placed it on her wrist. Pressing the button, a yellow glow emitted from the bangle. It slowly connected to the collar on Blue's neck. She sighed as she seen the happy look Blue gave her. "I bet you think were just going for a walk girl." She sighed as they started their trek through the desert.
The moon was starting to peak out from behind the clouds. The sky was now a inky purplish black. She could feel the chill in the air. Her hands were beginning to stiffen with cold. Putting them in her pocket didn't give her any comfort. She looked down to check on Blue. She was tired from the long walk. "I know girl. I know. Let's find some shelter ok." Looking all around to see if there was a cave or some place, they could rest she seen the steady light coming towards her. Her instinct was to hide but knowing Blue couldn't move anymore made her stop. Instead, she tried to appear as a wary traveler with a broken-down car. It took her a moment to transform her face just enough so that she wouldn't be recognized. The car stopped just a few feet away from her. She tried to pretend she didn't notice it. "Excuse me ma'am? Do you need some assistance?"
Something about the way the voice sounded made her head feel foggy. It felt like a distant memory was coming to pass. She slowly turned to see someone she never thought she would see again. Her father. Her mouth dropped open slightly due to her forgetting where she was. Shaking her head out of her revere she found her voice. "Uh no thank you. I wouldn't want to impose."
"Oh Darling how could you impose. I been looking everywhere for you… Akaisha."
She took a step back. How did this man seem to know who she was. She would have run if she could but Blue was laying by her feet sleeping. Her thoughts ran rapidly through her head. "Damn, how could he know it was me? He hasn't seen me in years. Why is he here after all this time." During her ruminating the man got out of the car and walked over to her. This time his face was of someone she knew all to well. Professor Jay. "You! Why are you here?"
He smiled at her before taking her arm. "My dear precious girl I can always find you. I may not be able to get inside of your head but I am aware of where you are at all times. Why wouldn't I be. You are my creation." Professor Jay pulled her along pushing her into the car. Once she was in he made sure that the locks didn't disengage as she tried to get out. He made sure he was able to slide through the driver's door to get in. "Now precious girl. I need to speak with you. I see that you are being hunted by the police and the special task force. Mind telling me what it is that you did?"
She could only look at this man. He had managed to get her in the car but her dog was left outside. She turned her head ignoring his question. "If you plan on killing me you may as well do it outside and kill My dog while you're at it. I wont ever speak to you or leave her."
"My, my, my you think so little of me that I would hurt my creation? Or her beloved pet? No, no, no. I am a humanitarian. You more than anyone else should know that." He puckered his lips as if he was going to kiss her only to emit a soft sound. That sound woke blue up and caused her to paw at the doors. He pressed a small button that allowed a dog shape door to open and allow Blue to get in. "Now, my dear sweet one. Tell me what did you do to earn the police to follow you?"
Seeing how her body was trembling from adjusting to the heat after being in the cold she could only glare at him. "What do you want from me? Why go to all this trouble for someone who hates you?"
"Because you're my daughter. You family sold you off tried to have you killed and I saved you. Why wouldn't I want to protect what's mines. All children have a rebellious stage. Yours has just been going on for far to long." He turned his car back on and started to drive over the desert. "Come, we have much to discuss. I need your help for something."
Akaisha could only sigh, the very man she hated and wanted nothing to do with was the only person that was willing to help her. "Fine, what is it that you need from me?"
That garnered her another smile from him.
