Akaisha was feeling as if a small weight was lifted off her shoulders but what other hidden facilities did, he has that she wasn't aware of? Would he find her at her place? It was time she went to check out those new listings she saved. She ran her fingers through her hair as she closed her eyes. She walked a short distance before she teleported herself to the first location. It seemed like it was in livable condition, but she would need permits to remodel it. So, she kept teleporting until she found a place that was what she wanted.
Meanwhile, Sergeant Acheki had contacted his buddy in the police department. "Hey bud, heard anything interesting as of late?"
The person on the other end of line sighed audible. "You only reach out when you want something. What is it now?"
"Aye, don't do me like that. I'm not that bad. Besides anytime I ask for something I always make good on giving you something in return, right?"
"Yeah, yeah you do. Before I tell you anything have you found a special lady yet? It's getting a bit sad that you've been single since..."
"Yeah, I know. I may have found a special lady. So, if this information doesn't pan out I will."
"… Yeah, sure. Well, what is it that you need specifically?"
"I heard there was a fire in the desert in a secret lab is that true?"
"You would be correct. It seems there was this weird spontaneous combustion at a secured lab registered to a Jonathon Jay. You might know him as Professor Jay he's a righteous guy. Took in orphans. Donates to the celestials. Seriously, that guy basically walks on water with all of his good deeds."
"Yeah? Hmm, so what happens with these orphans he takes in? DO they get a name change or something?"
"You know I never thought about that. I always assumed they did." He soon started to look into the orphans. "Yeah, they get new names if they want and because they all have had horrible beginnings he just ask the government to lock their old information away so that it wouldn't be a hinderance to the kids when they are older. Seriously, this guy is like a saint on earth."
"I see." He mumbled his next words to himself. "So, she was right about that."
"What you say?"
"Uh, I asked what caused the fire in his lab? I didn't know he was a scientist?"
"Oh, guy is not just a scientist he's an inventor. You know the system that we use at work he created that. I mean could he get any better?"
"If I wasn't any wiser, I would wager you have an intense admiration for the man."
"You wouldn't be wrong. Now, about my compensation? I'd like to see the Astro's and Sun's match."
"Ouch! You really going for the jugular. Those tickets are expensive."
"You would be correct plus that information was supposed to be kept off the record. And I also gave you more information about the Professor. So, there that's why the compensation is steep."
"You lucky I don't have anyone else to spend money on."
"What about that lady you told me about? Why won't you spend money on her?"
"I said it depended on the information I got."
"Yeah and that was good information."
"It was but not what I needed."
"Wha?! How could you …"
"I'll send those tickets over to you within the hour. Enjoy them with the little lady."
"Yeah, yeah. See ya lazy bones."
He ended the call with his friend. He decided to go for a walk while he thought about the information he had received. Akaisha told him to look into a fire in the desert. Yet, she didn't start it. Could she be tied to the professor? Is that why when he looked her up in the database that not one shred of information came up about her? There were more questions rising when there shouldn't be. "She said to contact her after I got the information." He didn't want to call her right away. There was more information he needed.
Sergeant Acheki went back to his office to do just that. If the professor were hiding behind his good charity then this man would need to be taken down as soon as possible. No matter what good he did, it would mean nothing to him. He got on the wireless to look up information about Jonathan Jay. Most of the articles he came across spoke of all the good that he had done. The same information that he had already received. Acheki scratched his head. "That's right he did create or system so why would anything bad come up against him. I need to look elsewhere."
