Chapter 2

The internet in my area is bad so if there's a word missing here and there it's the internet's fault.

—- story start—-

Vlad yawned as he stared at the survey reports coming in.

'Yet another barren dead rock' Vlad thought as he pressed a button launching a seed module into said "barren dead rock".

Lifeless as it my be that doesn't mean it's useless while life barring world are prized possessions and is highly sought after.

These "barren dead rock" are not without use as these world still contained valuable minerals to be harvested.

Now the seed is basically a fabrication module with mining robots inside, it's designed to be drop into planets which the mining robots would automatically come the module and begin gathering resources.

The resources gathered would be used to make mining robots and fabrication modules which later would be set up around the planet.

Once it reaches critical mass and almost every corner of the world has a fabrication unit then it will enter the second phase.

The second phase which involves making mega structures such as sky elevator (pretty much a super large coil gun aimed at the sky designed to quickly send materials into space), ground base defensive platforms, orbital defensive platforms and large underground wear house for phase three.

Phase three is the continuous fabrication of military equipment such as drone fighters (of various kinds), android army( of various kinds), vehicles (of various kinds) and possibly even ships.

Phase three will continue until a command to orders the otherwise or until the planet rans dry of raw materials which the fabricators will power down and hibernate until new commands are sent.

Suffice to say if the world is attacked the various defensive structures and military units on the planet will naturally awaken and engage the threat, but suffice to say without a human to coordinate the defense will be highly inefficient and would susceptible to various ingenious manoeuvres and strategy.

Saying as long at the defense are properly set up then the defense would be quite rigid and could withstand quite a beating before the enemy could claim the planet.

Anyway filled with disappointment Vlad launches hundreds of seed modules to all of the celestial bodies that are larger than a planetoid with in system, which numbered in the hundreds. (Fun fact over 200 minor-planet moons have also been observed in the Solar System . This includes the 76 known objects in the asteroid belt with satellites, four Jupiter Trojans, 39 near-Earth objects (two with two satellites each), 14 Mars-crossers, and 84 natural satellites of Trans-Neptunian Objects. And some 150 additional small bodies have been observed within the rings of Saturn. If we include all these, then we can say that the Solar System has 545 known satellites.)

Naturally all of these are "small" (astrologically speaking) in size but even so minerals are minerals, they have to be worth something.

Also the seeds sent to each celestial body is programmed a bit different in particular those sent to the moons and planetoids are primarily focused on producing void faring drone fighters.

Compare to a planet based seed module which would be expected to produce many types of droid units for different terrains and uses, types of atmospheric fighters ranging from bombers, fighters to transports and types of void fighters with the same variation.

Contrary to popular belief atmospheric fighting is quite different from void fighting as in space you don't have air, so you can't just install a rudder and expect the aircraft to turn as soon a the rudder moves.

So void fighters are naturally designed differently than atmospheric fighters.

'This is the 7th barren system' Vlad thought as this is the 7th system he has visited since coming to this universe.

Obviously with 400 billions star systems in the galaxy it isn't all that strange to encounter dead systems as most of the universe is pretty much dead.

Still though one could still dream of encountering alien life, Vlad is currently watching videos of Final Frontier of the various aliens the players are able to contact so far.

The various massive space battles with alliances of players against massive alien empires filled Vlad with great longing and envy.

Hundreds of super capitals as big as the ship he's currently in surrounded countless millions of smaller ship class ALL piloted by humans part taking in this grand epic fight that would forever change history.

There are player piloting fighters leading squadrons of robotic drones to intercept enemy bombers.

There are frigate captains using the nimbleness of their ship to navigate through a debri field to launch a sneak attack on the enemy transports.

And super capitals and capitals duking it out with the enemy's main fleet.

There's even scenes of players leading boarding parties into the strange interior of the alien ships.

Truly quite enviable.

Vlad sighs as he closes the hologram recording and orders the ship to head for the next system.

Fortunately for him the next system he came to has is not quite as boring as in the past as the fifth planet within the system is colored green!

What could this be? Could it be life? Join me next time on Wormhole EXtreme!

Sorry I just can't get that stargate episode out of my mind. No idea why especially since this has little to no relations to that episode. Although I would love to watch that crappy stargate parody.
