Monthly Test

Today is the day of the Monthly Test for genins below the age of 18. Kenshin's students were ready for their battle. It was a chance to show their improvement.

It was morning time, Kenshin along his students went to the arena that was chosen as the place to hold the monthly test. Kenshin looked around and remembered that it was the arena that was used to host the final round of Chunin Exams in the series.

"GOOOOD MORNING KENSHIN AND HIS YOUTHFUL STUDENTS. IT IS THE DAY TO SHOW THE POWER OF THEIR YOUTH", as Kenshin was just observing the arena, he heard a voice from behind.

"You sure are energetic Guy senpai", said Kenshin.

"Hahaha I am excited to see the power of youth of these students", said Guy.

"Haha, let's see the power of youth", said Kenshin.

After that Guy and Kenshin began to talk about small stuff. In the meantime both of their students began to talk as well. After that spar with Guy, Kenshin have sparred with Guy two more times.

Both of their students have also sparred during that time. Kazu and Daichi have fought with Lee and Neji while Akane have fought with Tenten.

In the first fight, all of Kenshin's students were defeated very easily but in the second fight they have shown a lot of improvement in terms of fighting techniques.

Daichi was able to fight with Neji for a longer time than before and Daichi can fight with Lee to a equal grounds (but Lee haven't taken his weights as well as used Hachimon Tonkou).

Kazu who was overwhelmed by Lee and Neji due to their speed can use chakra enhancement to speed up his dodging and used water and wind jutsu's more efficiently to cause a lot of trouble for his opponents.

Well Akane was different from the boys, in the first match, she was defeated due to her not being able to deflect the barrage of weapons raining down at her. But the next time, she defeated Tenten easily.

She have learned chakra enhancement technique and her chakra control which has become very good boosted her strength a lot. She also learned taijutsu and can fight with Lee for some time before loosing.

Kenshin was happy with his students results as they were the most average students in Academy and for them to reach this level in a month time is very good. Kenshin also decided to teach them breathing technique that he have given to Kakashi and Guy which will increase their power.

Kenshin also modified the "Hachimon Tonkou" into "Eight point Breathing technique" which uses breathing technique to stimulate the 8 Tenketsu points as in the previous one but the power and repercussions were also slightly less than the previous one.

Kenshin decided to teach Eight point Breathing technique to Daichi after the Monthly Test.

As they were talking, Kenshin noticed Kurenai's team and Asuma's team enter the arena.

"Guy senpai, is this love that happens in spring time of youth", said Kenshin loudly looking at Asuma and Kurenai.

"Yes Kenshin. This is love", said Guy. After that Kenshin and Guy danced around Kurenai and Asuma which caused Kurenai to lash out and started chasing them.

Seeing this Kenshin's and Guy's students lower their head in shame except Daichi and Lee.

"This is stupid", said Neji with his arrogant tone looking at his teacher and Kenshin.

"Let's not mention others that they are our teachers", said Tenten and Akane at the same time.

After they all cooled down, the Jonins began to talk with each other while the genins interacted with each others. Well the genins were mostly talking within their groups. Lee, Neji and Tenten were still with Kazu and others.

After some time Kakashi's team arrived. Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura went to their group.

"I am very excited as I am going to show my strength", said Naruto excitedly. After that Naruto bickered around with Kiba, Choji and others. Neji and Sasuke snickered at them.

"You guys are Kenshin's students?", said Sasuke coming towards Kazu, Daichi and Akane.

"Yes", sais Kazuhiro.

"I will defeat you guys", said Sasuke then went away.

"What a wierd guy", said Daichi.

"Well that means we will have to show our strength", said Akane.

"Yeah, I want to know how our power stands in front of the Class Topper", said Kazuhiro.

"So he is this year's class topper", said Neji while looking at Sasuke.

"Don't worry Neji kun, you are the best", said Tenten.

Like in the anime, Lee expressed his love for Sakura causing a fight between him and Naruto. After that Hiruzen came along with the elders of the village.

"Welcome everyone. Today we are going to hold the 1st ever monthly test. Here we will let the genins under the age of 18 to fight with each other and help them improve their strength through competition....", said Hiruzen. Hiruzen just gave a big speech. Many audience members were even sleeping.

"Damn that old man is really something. I wonder why he didn't just give this speech in the last Shinobi War. If he would have, then we could have defeated the enemies easily", said Kenshin. Hearing him many Jonins started laughing.

"What are you laughing. Many of you guys were also dozing off. If he could use his speech to make Jonins sleepy, then image what could have happened", said Kenshin bn with a serious face. Well many Jonins started to think while Kakashi, Kurenai, Asuma and Guy just laughed at Kenshin's antics.

"You have become very naughty now a days Kenshin kun", said Kurenai.

"Hey hey, don't call me like that senpai. And don't people use the word naughty in bed", said Kenshin while looking at Asuma and Kurenai. Asuma's and Kurenai's face blushed.

"Damn brat, look like you need beating", said Kurenai angrily.

"Okay okay don't fight infront of others", said Asuma who came to pacify.

After that a Jonin came, he started to explain the rules like all weapons are allowed and no intentional killing and others. The fight will be of elimination style. And after that that Jonin told the match sequence and fixtures.

The matches are only of some important characters and other's matches were not included.

After a few minutes, the first ever monthly test began.....
