The MNET Awards Nominees

The days went by and the girls continued their old, monotonous routine. But all of them were bubbling with happiness fact that they were nominated for two awards this year. They were nominated by the MNET awards for 'Best New Female Group' and 'Best Music Video'. They even managed to get the opportunity to perform at the award show. It was a pretty big deal or a rookie group to get this opportunity and perform on such a big stage.

BIGBANG was nominated for multiple awards making them one of the most nominated groups of the year.

They decided to perform their most energetic songs from their album. It was a party song called 'Burn it up' all of them loved the song and had worked the hardest on it. They considered it their best work so far. The choreography was done such that anyone could dance to the song. It had cool but easy moves that one could not help but try themselves. This song stayed on the #1 position on the hot songs list for almost a month.

the five of them sat down together with their manager to discuss their thoughts on their performance at the MNET awards show. The discussion ended with the decision that they would not perform it like their M/V completely. They would modify a few parts when they perform it at the award show. They decided to keep it a secret from everyone except the MNET staff and their CEO. It would take a lot of practice to pull it off but all of them were determined. They wanted this performance to be memorable for them as a group and for the people watching as a different performance.

During their free time, while the other members were resting, So-Young was working on her smart-phone design. She had got the materials she needed from her father recently. But the only problem she was facing was the creation of the parts in a modern smart-phone. She took a long time to locate a trustworthy place to get all the welding and the other manual labor. She had to personally demonstrate what she needed to be done to make the person understand. The parts would arrive in a few weeks so she was currently coding the main program that was needed by the hone to function. It was a fairly easy but very lengthy process.

So-Young's birthday had also passed in the days they were preparing. It had completely slipped her mind that it was her birthday. Minzy and Dara asked her to get ready and told her they were going out for dinner. She just thought that they wanted to eat out for a change. Bom and CL were nowhere to be seen. When she asked where they were Minzy told her that they were not yet done with practice and would join them later. She just accepted it and did not doubt it at all. She did not even suspect it when Dara was recording the whole thing as they regularly filmed fun things for the program they were releasing in the future.

They both took So-Young to the place they loved eating at. it was completely empty when they reached. Then out of nowhere popped out her parents with her little brother and the BIGBANG members. G-Dragon and Taeyang were holding a cake.

EVERYONE: "Happy birthday So-Young"

She was shocked for a few moments and had a very confused expression on her face. It looked really adorable.

Dara: "That expression! we are lucky we caught it on camera."

CL: "You rarely show such expressions. This feels refreshing."

Daesung: "I am just happy we got to see this rare side of So-Young."

Seungri: "True that!"

Taeyang: "we were lucky to be here."

So-Young: "Thank you all so much! You are never going to let this go, are you?"

T.O.P, GD: "Never! "

Bom: "You rarely do anything like this."

Minzy: "So until you do something like this again, we are not gonna stop teasing you."

Both of So-Young's parents looked thoroughly amused.

Dad: "Now blow out the candles fast! the wax is melting."

So-Young blew out the candles and everyone sang the birthday song. She fed cake to everyone and the too did the same too.

She got some nice gifts too. From the girls she got a pair of sneakers from a famous brand. All of them knew she had a weakness for shoes. The BIGBANG members gave her an acoustic guitar from which all her other guitars were from too. her parents gave her their love and blessing. Just kidding! They gave her a new video recording camera. Though she did not get a lot of gifts, she really liked the three she got. She could see how much effort everyone put into it and that made it even more meaningful. She thanked all of them wholeheartedly.
