Her Cousins

So-Young looked at the boy standing in front of her blankly. He was Kim Tae-Hyung. THE KIM TAEHYUNG. She could not believe that they were cousins. She did not even know that Kim Taehyung had cousins. One of the members of her favorite boy band was her cousin. The universe must have compensated her. She really loved her life.

The boy was feeling a little awkward. He did not understand why the girl in front of him was not replying. So-Young was much taller compared to him. He had to look up to speak to her. Though he was a social butterfly, he couldn't help but feel intimidated by her. Kim Min-Her also could not understand what was wrong with her daughter. She nudged her. So-Young retuned back from her thoughts and hastily greeted the boy in front of her.

So-Young : "Hello! I am Kim So-Young! Nice to meet you."

Taehyung : "You are Kim So-Young? From 2ne1?? "

So-Young found it funny that her idol was fanboying over her. The thought gave her a sense of accomplishment. She had finally begun the path to her dream.

So-Young : "Yes. The one and only!"

Taehyung : "I saw your performance at the MAMAs. It was amazing! You inspired me to pursue my dream. Can I have an autograph?"

So-Young : "I am sure you will be a great idol! Sure, I can give you an autograph! We are cousins after all"

Aunty : "Taehyung-ah, Introduce So-Young to the rest of your siblings."

Taehyung :" Yes mom."

Mom : "Have fun So-Young."

So-Young : "Bye!"

Taehyung then introduced her to his younger brother Kim Jeon Gyu and younger sister Kim Eun Jun. The three siblings were very lively and close. While they were speaking, Taetae - who was sleeping on the couch - got up. He rubbed his eyes and was startled by his new surroundings. He looked around to search for someone. He saw his mom and dad but ignored them. His eyes lit up when he saw So-Young. He took some time, carefully got off the couch and made his way to her with clumsy steps.

He tugged on her pants, which was as high as he could reach. It indicated that he wanted to be carried. So-Young bent down and carried him in her arms.

So-Young : "Had a nice sleep Taetae?"

Taetae : "Mmmhh."

So-Young : "Say hello to your cousins."

Taetae : "Cousins?"

So-Young : "Yes. This is Taehyung, this is Jeon Gyu and this is Eun Jun."

Taetae : "Nice to meet you. I am Tae-Young."

Taehyung : "Hello!"

Jeon Gyu : "Hi!"

Eun Jun : "Nice to meet you too!"

While the kids were in their own world, The Adults were sitting around the table and chatting themselves.

Aunty : "I can see that your son likes his sister more than his parents."

Mom : "What can I say! He was so attached to her. I often felt jealous of the difference in treatments."

Dad : "When he was born! He would only stop crying when So-Young held him."

Uncle : "Our kids are also really close. But when they fight, it is awful! have your kids fought?"

Mom : "Not at all! So-Young pampers him more than us! They have never argued because So-Young just gives in to his demands."

Grandmother : "Wow! I have never seen such a pampering older sister!"

Grandfather : "I used to think that the relationship of Tae-Hyung, Eun Jun and Jeon Gyu was ideal. But this is another level!"

As they were conversing, time passed quickly, and it was time for dinner. So-Young's grandmother made sumptuous dishes, and luckily a few vegetarian dishes. So-Young and Taehyung helped in setting the table. The table was meant to sit 8 people. And it was little crammed when all 11 of them sat together. It was stuffy, but the atmosphere was harmonious. The family felt complete. All of them were chatting while gobbling the food.

Grandmother : "So-Young, Eat some meat!"

So-Young : "Grandma, I don't eat meat..."

Grandfather : "Are you allergic to something?"

So-Young : "No... I don't really like the thought of eating meat. I am a vegetarian."

Taehyung : "How? I can't even imagine not eating chicken wings."

So-Young : "Haha.. I don't know.. the thought of eating it doesn't sound appetizing."

Eun Jun : "Then how did you grow so tall??"

So-Young : "I love mild. So i drank lots of that. And i also exercise a lot."

Aunty : "So-Young, you must be in the last year of middle school. Did you complete your homework?"

So-Young did not know how to answer this question. She had already graduated high school. Though she did not go to a college, she had passed the exams. She glanced at her parents to explain the situation.

Dad : "Well, So-Young has already graduated high-school."

Grandfather : "What?? High school??"

Mom : "Yes..."

Uncle : "How did they pass her."

Mom : "Well, So-Young was well ahead of her peers, she took a test and managed to skip a few grades..."

Aunty : "Wow! Your daughter is smart!"

Taehyung : "So, can you help me with my homework."

So-Young :" Alright, i don't mind."

Aunty : "Don't help him out too much. He has to do something himself."

Taehyung : "Mom!!"

They cleared up the table and went up to their rooms. Everyone was tired and they decided to go to bed early.
