Album Release

The album of 2ne1 was finally released. They were sold out with few hours. Quite a feat for a group that had debuted for less than a year. YG did dnot expect such enthusiasm towards the girl group. They had to produce new CDs as the demand for the new album kept increasing. By the end of the first week, they were able to sell all 70,000 copies. Those were the figures that YG expected to be sold in about a year. They had started printing double the number of albums for the next sale.

BIGBANG was going strong too. They were ahead of 2ne1 in terms of sales. BIGBANG had established themselves firmly in the music world 3 years ago. They were getting more and more attention. They were even attracting people from other countries.

The girls expected the sales to start dwindling in the next two weeks. Unexpectedly, they were going strong. This was like breaking barriers in world of kpop. Especially for female artists. The k-pop industry was very harsh on females. It was almost a miracle that they were able to gain so much success without facing extreme backlash.

The album sales only did not show signs of decreasing even after 2 months. Actally, it even showed signs of increase in sales. What attracted the people was the new and unique music that the group had. 2ne1 sky-rocketed to fame. The girls did not slack off at all. They wanted to give their best at the concerts and make the fans feel that it was worth their time.

Their major competitors this year were SNSD(Girl's generation) and Wonder Girls. SNSD had re-released their album titled "Baby Baby". Wonder Girls shot to popularity when they went on a tour in collboration with their producer. They had released their new song "So-Hot" a week after 2ne1. There was a lot of competition between their groups. Eventually, wonder girls' new single was taken over by songs by other atrtists while 2ne1 continued to top the charts.

On the other hand, 2ne1 was not lucky enough to be able to have their own show on KBS. That was a bummer. But, So-Young thought of releasing their show on Youtube. When she thought about it, it would be more beneficial for them to release their show on Youtube. It was a platform that would allow them to access a larger fan base. People from all around the world would be able to view them. The fans would be able to get to know them better. And it would be free of cost(This would be awesome if it happened in real life... cuz me is broke) This would be benificial for them.

After discussing witht he rest of the girls So-Young expressed her thoughts about using youtube as a means to host their show. They scheduled a meeting with CEO Yang-Hyun-Suk and after convincing him, they were going to release the show a month before their concert. They went to fansigns to promote their new album along with their show now called "2ne1 2day" on youtube. BLACKJACKS were hyped for the series.

On the other hand, So-youngs fater was taking care of the new company established. He had identified a site where they could build a factory. It was an area that was not developed, and did no cost too much. He used the connections he had built up when he was working as the CEO of the business company to search for people that could help with the establishment of their company.

He now had a team of people that could support him. So-Young now only had to make blue prints of the parts of the machines and others would be doing the rough work. She would sometimes head in to do the manual part if the design was complicated and hard to understand.

The Kims(So-Young's family) had sold their house and moved into a smaller house that required them to pay a small amout of rent every month. They used the money they had got from selling their house as capital for the company. So-Young's mother had gotten hersef a job so that they could have an additional income. The only problem was that Taetae could not be left at home alone. So, So-Young, her mother and her father would take turns to take him with them to work. It would usually be So-Young or her mother as the work Kim Myung-Soo had to supervise could be dangerous(construction work).

Both So-Young and her mother were not sure if their workplace would allow them to bring Taetae along, but when everyone saw that Taetae was really well behaved, they did not have any problems with it. Actually, So-Young did not want to bring Taetae with her because he was too adorable. She would take half an hour to reach their practice room because everyone would come out to meet Taetae.

They would pinch his cheeks and make him uncomfortable. Taetae was very shy and would get overwhelmed in these situations. Though he never maded a fuss, So-Young felt her heart ache everytime he hid in her arms. She would pat his back to comfort him and would try to rush into the practice room so that they could catch a break.
