Chapter 17 - Mrs. Sydney G. Britton

"To make you happy, I am Still Simply single until now."She retorted and winked at her closest colleague.

They both giggled and continued their work as it was office hours again.

In Siksik City, despite his concentration on his invention, he never neglected their child. The usual routine went on like tutoring her and following up of the lessons taught to them everyday in school.

If there was a progress on the developmental learning capability of Adrianne May Solis Britton, there was also a great success in the invention of VEAS. After about two months, he would install it to a vehicle.

Those were his activities in Siksik City. Whereas, in Metro Commercial City, he would be in search of a house and lot with a spacious yard not only for a garage but also for his innovative discovery.

He would like to live together with his wife and his child. He was also aware that his wife's preferred institution was a public school. He admired his wife's frugality.

Unknown to her, he had already purchased according to his preference and priority. As a matter of fact, it was already under renovation.

Two months had passed very fast. So, as planned he would be fetching his wife in the office that Friday afternoon. As expected everyone was tongue tied especially when he kissed her before their eyes.

Her husband spoke earnestly: You can address her as Mrs Sydney G. Britton. We have been married for seven months.

"See you on Monday dear colleagues. Happy week end." The former Ms. Peace bade them farewell.

As they left, they just shrugged off their shoulder and shut up their mouth.

All those who knew her were all eyes to her as her husband's arm was embraced on her waist. From the office he brought her to a place for his surprise gift to her.

"When did you purchase this?"

"Three months ago."

"Let me be the one to design it."

"Sure!"

"Is there a nearby public school?"

"There is."

They went back home to the apartment where they shared their daily experience. To Splash she shared not only about her colleagues but also the people they were publicly serving. While her husband shared several eventful and remarkable experiences with their child who sometimes made his day very hard. He likewise told her about the progress of his new project.

On that Saturday morning, they teleported to Siksik City so she could be with her child. It was the first week of April and the recognition rite of her child's school. On that Saturday afternoon, Adrianne May S. Britton got the highest honor. A parental concern and close supervision really paid off. The medals were the prize of the daily tutorial of her parents at home.

It was a day to remember so it called for a celebration. They went with Grand Jim and Granny Reyna for their dinner in a fast food restaurant where they enjoyed Adrianne May's talkativeness as she was in a happy mood.

On her arrival, Adrianne May had never left beside her mother. The more she became happier when during sleeping time she was with her parents.

On her face, she seemed to be the happiest child ever to witness the loving moments of her father and mother even in a little way.

For instance, she saw her father removed the strands of her mother's hair on her face and put them behind her ear. Another was, when she saw her mother toweled his daddy's back dried with perspiration. She also saw her mother leaned on his father's back with her outstretched arms to his chest.

How beautiful to watch my daddy and my mommy loved each other. I don't have to push them together anymore unlike before. These were only in her thoughts that she could never tell them.

Although her sleep was keeping her eyes drooped, she still heard his father teasing her mother.

Hon, you can no longer claim to be SSS- Still Simply Single for I announced to everybody to call you Mrs. Sydney G. Britton.

Thank you for ending up my single status with a child.

I shall also tell your employees to address you, Mr. Pearl Ace May Solis.

When are we going back to Metro Commercial City?

Tomorrow afternoon. This time we're going to commute. We have several luggages and Adrianne May would also be with us.

Travelling with Adrianne May was no longer as difficult as she was still younger than her age as of this time. They paid for three seats but Adrianne didn't like her daddy to be separated with them. It was only when she was already asleep when her daddy was able to occupy the third seat they paid.

Her employment delayed their movement from the apartment to the newly acquired property. So, it took them a week to wait until all her things were transfered to that new house.

Mrs. Peace S. Britton's talent and skill in interior designing was really challenged. Her fondness for gardening was also manifested in this residential place that her husband had purchased for her as a gift. All her dreams came true that stirred her excitement and enthusiasm in her heart but would remain to be seen in her composure.

Other women would usually bragged any possession in their lives. Opposite to them, she had never mentioned this to any of her colleagues.

On the other hand, the purchasal of the real state proved that he was not only a better provider but the best provider, most loving, most caring and most dependable partner in life. Deep inside her heart, she was really elated and grateful of the persistence of her man to win her.

It was only this time that she realized that her man was not really a pervert in any means but was only naughty to discard her inhibition from him as she was already part of his life.

The orientation seminar before they were wedded pointed out that one plus one in marriage is not two but one. They were two individuals who were bounded together to be one.

Little by little she started to shied away her naivete of having a man in the life of a woman. Her perspective of disregarding the presence of a man in her life was changed by Sydney Britton. With his benevolence and respect for her transformed her to be open-minded about a man in a woman's life.

Before she met this man, she was so proud of herself as a female who could live life to the fullest even without a man in her life. She was so blatant in hurling insulting words that really humiliate them as a human being.

Where did she get such idea that a man in a woman's life is difficult to deal with? Was her idea the result of what she had watched from television and video clips? Did it come from the reading articles that she read?

Never mind, where ever it came from, it didn't matter anymore, as long as she could maintain the smooth sailing husband and wife relationship.

Mrs. Sydney G. Britton was planning to totally cast away her inhibition from her husband. She had to be open with him by all means. May it be in decision making, money matter, and even about their sex life, she should always talk to him about it.

Her husband would be her confidante as he was her best friend, her lover, her provider, her baby sitter, her cook, her adviser, her life partner, and her everything.

"Those whom God hath joined together, let no man asunder." This was written in a bible that can be read anytime. She was so grateful to her husband to have a library in their house.

Reading this, allowed her to get its implication.

Having been wedded legally to her husband she would never dare to commit immorality to cause separation from him. She promised to love him and be faithful till death do they part, she also pledged to be righteous for a harmonious relationship, thus, they would have a peaceful married life.

"Thou shalt actively establish family discipline with thy wife's help."

Therefore, I being his wife should help him to have a family discipline as our child, my husband and I are members of our family.

I think, like me, this man was also reading this bible? If not, why should he include this book? Not only one nor two, huh!?

Aahh🤔 I know, right? He knew this command from the bible. The proof? When he discussed with me about our likes and dislikes as husband and wife, and as parents of our child.

Well.... Not bad... Good.. I am fond of reading and this time... (She jerked her hand causing the bible turned left and right) I had decided to read this.

This book would help me as a family woman, as a lover, as a mother, as a wife and above all as the life partner of my one and only husband. No more, no less... . Not anyone but him alone..

She didn't hear when the library door opened. So, the sudden hugging of her husband shied her to her right side as he was there beside her. This man made it a habit to kiss her where ever they were... and whenever they were together.
