Chapter 28 - Summer Vacation

Finally, they had their neighbours who rented the apartment they built just across their home.

Ms. Peace's family befriended all of them as they were all the occupants of the new apartment they built. Providing them with their different ornamental and vegetable plants and suggesting to use organic fertilizer from their compost peat were their means.They helped the leasees to landscape their front & back yard.

Like their yard, Sydney dug a large pit where they could dump their garbages. They were given a free supply of the ITVEAS to maintain cleanliness & have their own organic fertilizer from their compost pit.

Unknown to each leasee Sydney and Ms. Peace had already investigated them through the Safety Undergarment - SU when they talked to them. The step of secret investigation had something to do with their plan to treat themselves for a summer vacation in the hometown of Ms. Peace.

The children were overjoyed knowing they would be with their grandparents. Sydney decided to use their VEAS he originally created. He also brought with him several ITVEAS and the IBT/IST to train their children how to use it. There was no problem with the SU as all of them wore it on their trip going to the province of Ms. Peace.

It took them eight long hours to reach their destination. After a day of rest & sleep, the family visited local tourist spots that amused their children. The last wonderful natural beauty that they visited was those in the birth place of Ms. Peace.

On their way going to Dangcalan Town Sydney activated the automated Sucker of their vehicle. As a result, the Copras and the palay exposed under the heat of the sun by the highway were all sucked by it. He didn't press the grinding button. Instead he pressed the command button to separate the Copras from the palay.

There had been a commotion as the result of the disappearance of those products at the highway. Everybody was stupefied as it was the first time that the Copras and the palay were gone without a trace.

Meanwhile, Ms. Peace, together with her children, swam enjoyably as Sydney was busy inspecting if his command of his VEAS was successful.

Without telling his wife, he fiddled the buttons of his vehicle to change the command as this Vehicular Enormous Automated Sucker was invented when he was inspired with those farmers' products spread at the highway. Finally, he succeeded in carrying out his most awaited plan.

But... the hoarding of Copras and palay gave him a problem on disposing them. Besides, his conscience was pricking him guiltily as it was stealing from those who worked hard for those products.

He was unsure of his wife's reaction if she would be happy or mad about it. It's time for him to have rational reason for sucking them.

What the heck? How would he tell her without being mad at him?

He closed the door making sure that not one of them would be able to open its door. He joined them swam in the beach as he tried to ruminate what to do.

In the afternoon, they went back home to Siksikan City where the grandparents were residing.

The next morning was another activity for the family of Sydney and Ms. Peace.

They were going to train their children how to use the IBT/IST. Naturally, they had to pass through the same highway but that time, they would have extended their travel to three more kilometers from downtown.

It was a spaceous farm land with plain and hilly side with a rice field & coconut trees around the hills that surrounded it. As the rice field was newly harvested with the palay, the timing for the training in that place was indeed advisable.

So, the training had begun. Individually, they were taught which button should be pressed. They were warned not to press the long distance teleportation button as there's possibility that they'ld be getting astrayed.

The whole day training was successful. Their children asked another day for a practice in manipulating their own suit.

Sydney decided to reveal what he did on the first day of their trip when they went to her hometown.

Just what he expected she's so furious that she ranted for an hour. He listened & never talked back. When she calmed down, he asked her what should be done with those sucked products.

Silence.

Sound of silence remained.

Only the successive yawnings broke the deafening silence.

Not long after the humming silence was broken with both soft and loud snores.

The ancestral home was noisy with the children who were in the garden with their grandparents after their breakfast the next morning. It was around 9:00 o' clock in the morning when Sydney & Ms. Peace were eating their morning meal all dressed up for a transaction they'ld be having after their meal.

After lunch, they went to her birthplace named Dangcalan Town and they paid the owners of the Copras and the plays that their vehicle sucked automatedly. Each of then was contentedly paid as no one complaint about the cash they had given them as a payment.

Sydney was relieved and he was so grateful to his wife who was oftentimes saving him from the boiling water he had dipped into.

However, they did not tell them that it was him who caused their crops to have disappeared. It's another suggestion of Ms. Peace as she didn't like him to be ridiculed for his unintentional stealing. Neither would they willingly tell them about his invention.

As they were done paying the victims of her husband's victorious invention, they went to the schools where she's done with her grammar and secondary level schooling. They donated the ITVEAS to them to maintain their clean and green program and should have an abundant products from their school garden.

It was already almost dusk when they were done. Both of them went home to her parents' place with the use of their suit.

PLOK! They took them only five minutes to arrive home.

The following date was their last day in Siksikan City so they had to get rid of the Copras and palay that the VEAS stuffed in its storage. They sold the Copras and have the palay milled.Voila! 3/4 of the money they withdrew was deposited. For the milled twenty sacks of rice, ten of which was left to her parents while the other ten sacks were brought home.

Upon their arrival at their home, they gave ten kilograms of rice to their three household staff and two kilograms for each of their ten leasees.

The children whose fair complexion was taken after their father had become the same as the brown complexion of their mother.

As it was still summer vacation, they asked their parents to let them master the use of their suit only in their vicinity. Afraid that they might dare to press the long distance teleportation button, both of the husband & wife looked after them during their training.

However, it's secret keeping place was not yet revealed to them as they were not yet oriented well when, how, & why they should use it. A further discussion must be scheduled and should not be known even to their household staff.

Ms. Peace announced a week summer vacation she gave to their household staff in order that the discussion and briefing should be made behind them.

Seven days of one week gave them the chance to do the revelation. All of them were shown with the secret rooms and the reasons of its secrecy. Revelation was done after an obedience training for them was given. It was patterned to a military training and on that remaining summer vacation they're also enrolled in a self-defense training course.

Without the household staff, their three children had no choice but to do the chores as both their father and mother were very busy with their job.

It was Adrianne May who were leading her siblings. In cooking they usually turned on their laptop to learn how to cook whatever they browsed that looked delicious for them.

They, too, decided to change the window and the wall curtains by asking their parents to let them go shopping. It's a big time summer vacation as they began to decide on their own. They were also given an opportunity to shop for some new beddings and carpets.

It's a real time big time for their training to have a firm decision making in some household stuffs. What's so admirable with their children was their concern for their household staff as they likewise included their quarter to be generally cleaned and be changed with the new beddings and curtains. They also asked their parents to cover the tiled floor with a carpet as they knew that their feet should not be stepping on cold floors to avoid legs' muscle pain. A night stand was also provided as there was none at all.

Thus, the children found it that, that was their most productive summer vacation that ever happened in their lives.
