Chapter 29 - Breaking Free From Danger

Thus, the children found it that, that was their most productive summer vacation that ever happened in their lives.

When the staff returned, they praised the three children of their effort being in charged of the chores for one week.

During the enrollment they let their three children to enroll themselves. However, they weren't allowed to leave the house unless they didn't wear their SU as it was connected to the authorities and to their parents' gadget.

Their driver just stayed where he parked the automobile waiting for them. He did not want to meddle on the transactions that the three siblings were making. His only business was to follow what they told him where to drive them.

Before going home from the school, they went malling to buy the gift that they'ld give for the wedding anniversary of their parents. On their way going back to the parking area, a man seemed to be following them. To be sure, they turned to the right pavement when the same man did the same turning like them. Next, they dashed across the road where they could again turn left. Again the man was behind them. To confirm their skepticism, they suddenly halted a step before the stranger who was really intently tailing them.

Wwwwwwwiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttttttttttttt! Came the loud shrilling sound of their

Safety Undergarment that alerted their parents and a police officer nearby. Sydney gave the driver a call instructing him the exact place where to rescue his children from an aggressor.

The children were lucky to be together that confused the man who to attack or get hold first. They were holding each other facing the man who had a knife in his hand ready to hit any of them. When the man started to plunge the knife to one of them, they were able to avoid it by a swift side ward left movement. Still, the man did not give up. He once again moved quickly near them to stab them. But their alertness saved them from his second attempt. They ran rapidly away from him only to be followed with his quick sprinting and was able to pull the legs of Ace Sydney the second child of Mr. & Mrs. Sydney Britton.

Ace Sydney was fortunate that their driver and a police officer had arrived just on time when their eldest child, Adrianne May courageously went near the attacker to stop him from stabbing her brother.

The man was easily disarmed with his knife when the driver punched him on his back that caused him to sprawl on the ground where Ace Sydney was lying but was able to roll away from him. Pallas Athena, the youngest and their big sister, Adrianne May hurriedly helped their big brother to stand up and shake off the dirt from his body.

They're already at the police headquarter when their parents arrived with a lawyer to make sure the felon would be rotten in jail. The culprit was the same man who illegally occupied the vacant house across them which was already their apartment leased to the ten different occupants.

The following day, they had learned that Volter Deogacias was released from the mental hospital as they found out that he was not mentally ill. Therefore, the more Ms. Peace and Sydney protested why instead of putting him in the jail from the hospital, he was allowed to wander freely outside the prison cell.

From that time on, Ms. Peace & Sydney decided to hire two bodyguards for their children whom they made to be their drivers, too.

The children did not resist from being with their bodyguards where ever they go knowing that a dangerous man was lurking to hurt and kidnap them. Their self-defense training was still going on as they belonged to white belt trainees.

The Safety Undergarment's detector was connected to the mobile phone of their two bodyguards. No further information was explained to those two sentries as he had programmed in their gadget the application he'd linked to their SU with a flashing word Help!

The watchmen's ability to look after the three children of their masters was then tested at once. The children wanted to do the buying of their weekly supplies in a supermarket just outside the premises of their subdivision. They were behind the bagger from the supermarket who was pushing their boxes of goods in the cart when a man intentionally bumped Pallas Athena. The latter and Adrianne May fell on the ground as they were holding each other's hand. Unknown to the man who pushed the youngest child with his body, the bodyguards who were just at their back were very quick to push the culprit very hard without giving him a chance to touch them.

When the stranger was pushed back he fell on the ground lying with his back spread on it. Upon standing up, he pulled a gun from his left side that was covered by his brown leather jacket. Good the children were already briefed with that kind of situation that made them not to panic. They nailed themselves where they were but with an alerted mind how to evade from the shooting of the felon.

Bodyguard number 1 who immediately assisted the girls was infront of the man & of the girls. Bodyguard no.two had Ace Sydney beside him behind the man with a gun. The bagger with the push cart full of boxed grocery goods was two steps away from Ace and second bodyguard.

As the aggressor was about to pull the trigger, bodyguard 2 was able to snatch it & removed its magazine full of bullets.

Confused of the sudden lost of the gun from his hand, the man became rattled but rapidly kicked bodyguard 2 which the latter was able to evade by pulling his foot that he kicked. He tumbled once again that gave bodyguard 1 to quickly pushed him facing the ground to get hold of his two arms that he handcuffed hidden from his pants pocket covered with his lengthy sweatshirt. It was the handcuff provided to them by Sydney.

The gun was given to the cops who confirmed the connection of the recent attacker to Volter Deogracias. The complaint against him was again filed for him to be with Volter who influenced him to kidnap one of Sydney's children.

The wonderment of the couple why the man of Volter knew the identity of the children urged them to browse on the mobile phones of those two prisoners. There and then, the photos of their son and daughters were deleted not to be retrieved anymore.

When they went home, they called for a meeting with the household staff, the bodyguards, the children and the couple.

Their identity should not be known as there were threats in their lives. For the meantime, they decided to use different colored masks and spectacles to hide their faces to the public eyes.

In the masters' bedroom, the couple were very busy researching how to make a prosthesis as a face mask. They were discussing to make several face masks of their children if they would like them to be able to live normally like any other children who can go everywhere without being exposed to any harmful man.

During that whole week, the prostheses were moulded by Sydney making sure that they would fit the faces of their two daughters and a son. In the afternoon as the children were already at home, the two bodyguards were sent by Sydney to a training program enhancing their skills in self defense and be a sharp shooter may it be a gun or a knife.

To stablish their loyalty, Sydney had had compensated them handsomely that they would not think of leaving their post as the watchmen of their very precious children. They, too, had their insurances and other benefits.

The greatest decision that Sydney and Ms. Peace had done was to give them a place where to live comfortably. The five doors at the second floor of their cozy well-built apartment were occupied by the family of the three household staff & the two bodyguards' without bothering to pay for a monthly rent.

Their children became more and more trustful to them that they were free to stay with their family during their play time.

Time had swiftly flown that Adrianne May was already a Senior high school student while Ace Sydney was grade 5 pupil, two grade levels ahead of Pallas Athena, the youngest among the three.

With the martial arts training they had received for several years, they were already quite skillful in it. At home, they had their regular sparring with their two bodyguards.

With the vacant lot beside their double story apartment, they bought it for the merchandising store where they placed their machines for selling. The ITVEAS, the VEAS & the WITVEAS were displayed in that store. Hence, there was no need for the customer to be inside their yard to purchase any of his inventions.

Subsequently, their savings in their two vaults were not even lessen to pull them down to poverty. In fact, they're earning more than what they had expected. They were the hidden billionaire who chose to remain a low profile. The bodyguards & their staff couldn't even detect their real status in life as they'ld hear them talking about the financial income of Ms. Peace that couldn't meet their expenses till the next salary was given.

During weekend Adrianne May was the cashier in their machine store situated across their residential house. Whereas, her two younger sibling served as their store's sales clerks.

Their parents had compensated for the service they had rendered to their store.
