Just another day at school

As she walked, her head was filled with bittersweet memories. How well she remembered these streets. She had had some of the best days of her life here. She had fallen so hard in love and felt like a princess whose prince Charming was the mysterious Si Xia.

But these were also the streets where she had been stabbed in the back, her heart had been toyed with and broken, and she had been left completely alone in the world. But this time would be different, she was not going to be fooled again by Yuan Zuan or broken by Si Xia. Yes, this second chance was completely for herself. Nothing or no one could change that.

So that night, Yu Chen and Si Xia went to bed slightly excited and slightly nervous for the next day. But definitely determined to change how things had played out the last time, and planning to make the most of this second chance.

The next day, at school...

Yu Chen walked into the building with an unfinished steamed bun in her hand. She had never been a morning person so it usually took her too long to wake up, due to which she never had the chance to complete breakfast, but lately, as she had been coming to scool with Yuan Zuan, who did not like girls 'stuffing their face' Yu Chen had to skip breakfast altogether. But it all ends now. Yu Chen looked at her watch and saw that she was almost late for class. Just then, a voice called out from behind, "Chen, why didn't you come to my house today?"

Yuan Zuan stopped short with her minions when she looked at Chen. She was wearing denim shorts coupled with a baggy t-shirt complete with sneakers, with an unfinished bun in her hand. Zuan scrunched up her nose and said, "Chen, didn't I tell you before to dress properly? And what is this, how can you eat so unsightly, look at the sauce on the corner of your lips!!"

Yu Chen stopped, licked clean the sauce with her lips and looked at Yuan Zuan, "Well yeah, you did. But I didn't felt like dressing up as a doll like you and your minions, so that's that."

Saying this she turned and left, not even giving a second glance to the stunned Yuan Zuan. Yu Chen entered the class and looked around. She didn't feel like sitting with Zuan's gang today, so she found a quite seat at the back of the class beside the window and sat down.

Just as she had popped the last piece of her breakfast in her mouth, Yuan Zuan entered. She went to her usual place and looked around, she spotted Chen and glared at her. But Chen's gaze slid past her like she was an annoying fly. This annoyed Yuan Zuan and she sat down, scouling.

The classes were highly uneventful and boring, but still Yu Chen survived till lunch. Just as the bell rang, she thought looking out of the window, "Oh my god!! Has school always been this boring!?!? I am surprised I survived." Then she felt the chair beside her being pulled so she turned around.
