Finding new friends

Just as she turned around, Yu Chen wished she hadn't. Yuan Zuan had come over to her seat with two of her minions. She said, "Hey Chen. Why didn't you sit with us today? Well, I kind of guessed. Being the way you are dressed, of course you won't want to. Say, if you have no more good clothes to wear, I can taking you shopping after school today. I will even buy you two-three dresses which will look very good on you." She looked as though she was donating to a charity.

Li Mian, the biggest follower of Yuan Zuan spoke, "Oh Zuan, you are so good. Taking Chen shopping and even offering to buy her dresses. Chen is really blessed to have a friend like you. Don't you agree Chen?" she liked to think of herself as Yuan Zuan's best friend, but everyone at school knew that Zuan would not hesitate to throw her under the bus to save herself.

Yu Chen was looking at them and thinking, "What a bunch of pretentious idiots. How was I ever naive enough to fall for this bull sh*t."

She did not want to waste her breath on them, so she stood up and began leaving. The classroom was almost empty by now, everyone had gone to lunch. Just as she was about to reach the door, Yuan Zuan called out from behind. "What a bi*ch, right! Acting all high and mighty."

Yu Chen sneered inside, "And she shows her true colours."

She turned around and said, "Yup, I'm a bi*ch. What are you gonna do about it? And this bi*ch wants to tell you one more thing, the competition that we entered, you are off the team."

Saying this, she turned and left. Yuan Zuan was stunned, she asked her minions, "Has she always been like this? What happened to the idiot girl who would do anything I told her to?" They shook her heads saying that she seems to have changed.

"Well how dare she kick me off the team, I am definitely going to squash her. She dares to stand up against me!!" she scouled.

Yu Chen quickly made her way to the cafeteria. She took a bowl of ramen and then scanned the hall. She used to sit with Zuan, but that was out of the option now. Finally Yu Chen found the person she was looking for. At a small table, Xi Hua was sitting with a boy.

"Ohhhh!!!! She looks so cuuuteee!!!!" thinking this, she hurried off to the table.

Xi Hua and her friend seemed to be immersed in something in a book, so they did not notice Yu Chen until she sat down in front of them.

"Hiiii" she beamed at them.

Both of them were startled at hearing her voice and seemed as though their jaws would drop down when they looked up to see who it was. "Hey, can I eat with you guys?" Yu Chen asked, she continued on, "I'm...."

But the boy cut her short. "Of course we know who you are. You are Yu Chen, the great prodigy, who is getting 100% scholarship for studying here. You are at the top of our computer course. Hi, I'm Huo Zenghai and this is Xi Hua." he seemed to be really excited to meet Yu Chen.

But it did not seem like Xi Hua shared the feeling.
