We can still make a nice life

Yu Chen read further and found another error. Now she had found two errors. "Just three more." she thought. But she completed the whole code and found no more.

"There have to be more errors. I havs overlooked some." she panicked as she started the code again. As she was focusing, she felt eyes upon her. She turned around to see Kio, Zenghai and Hua looking at her. Her panicked expression must have been obvious, because Mo Kio motioned her to take some deep breaths and calm down, Huo Zenghai moved his lips to tell her that even if they lost, it was not the end of the world.

And Xi Hua, she pointed at a guy standing in a corner and did lipsing, "HOT!!"

Yu Chen smiled and turned back to the computer. All was not lost, this competition was not the end of the world. Thinking this she skimmed through the code again and was pleasantly surprised to find another error. She was motivated and read through the code again and again, but found no other error. The more she read, the more she was impressed. She thought, "It actually is a very well written code. It's okay if I lose to someone as deserving as the one who wrote it."

After going through the code one more time, this time not to find errors, but to learn something from the style of coding, she stood up and said, "Done."

As Chen was walking towards the three, she noticed that while she was busy with the code, many people were done. She looked at her watch and saw the time was 5:30 p.m. She thought, "Huh. If these people hurried up, we might even be able to enjoy a nice dinner."

She went and joined the other three who were sitting at the very back of the room. Seeing a sad smile on her face, they also smiled.

Mo Kio: "So not enough errors? Huh. These foreigners are better than I expected."

Xi Hua: "Doesn't matter Chen. You're still the best coder all over China."

Huo Zenghai: "Yeah. Those foreign scholarships are not that important. We can make an amazing life for ourselves here."

Yu Chen nodded and said, "Thank you. All of you." And she hugged them in a big group hug.

While in the hug, Mo Kio messaged behind everyone's back, 'Call her. We lost.'

They broke up and Chen said, "I wish the others would hurry up. I can't wait to get something to eat with the money we win."

Huo Zenghai and Xi Hua jumped, "Yeah, we're gonna get 5,000 Yuan each. It's gonna be nice."

Just then, Mo Kio's phone rang. He looked at it and then furrowed his brows. "Chen could I see your phone for a minute?" he asked.

Yu Chen: "Yeah sure." she handed her phone to him.

"And you're gonna want to take this." he said as he tossed his phone to Chen and looked at Chen's phone. "Idiot, your phone is out of battery."

Chen looked at Kio's phone and saw that Si Xia was calling. She looked up at the other three, out if whom Mo Kio waved his hand as a sign for her to pick it up.
