After dinner Mr. and Mrs. Mo saw them out.
Si Xia waved his hands as he said, "You don't need to Aunty Mo. It's exceptionally cold today. We're all right."
The three nodded their heads. After a little bit of persuasion, Mrs. Mo let herself be led inside by Mr. Mo, but not before she had hugged goodbye to all the four.
As they stood there waiting for their cars, Yu Chen rubbed her hands together, "It's really is cold."
Xi Hua, who was practically shivering, said, "It wasn't this cold when we arrived here."
Their cars arrived and Xi Hua immediately dived into Huo Zenghai's car, turning up the heater. She looked out the window and said, "Why don't you come with us? Save Xia the trouble of driving all the way to the apartment. It's anyway on Zenghai's way."
Yu Chen scratched her nose as she said, "Actually, I have something to do."
Xi Hua was surprised, "You have something to do?" Realisation dawned on her as she said, "The reason you wanted to borrow my car?"
Yu Chen nodded. Xi Hua settled herself comfortably in Zenghai's car and said, "Then I'll see you back at the apartment. Xia, take care of her."
Si Xia chuckled, "More like make her stay out of trouble."
Huo Zenghai and Xi Hua laughed as they drove off.
Si Xia put an arm around Chen's shoulders and said, "Come on. It's getting cold."
Yu Chen nodded and the two sat in the car.
Si Xia turned towards Chen, "So, what is it that you have to do?"
Yu Chen said in a small voice, "I was hoping to visit Mo Anxia."
Si Xia smiled and patted her head. He turned up the heat before starting his car and driving off.
Yu Chen and Si Xia had almost reached the cemetery when Yu Chen, who was looking out of the window, said, "Snow."
Si Xia was confused, "What?"
Yu Chen pointed out of the window and said, "It's snowing."
Si Xia turned his attention ahead and now saw that indeed a few snowflakes had begun to fall. He said, "That was why it was so cold. The first snow of the season."
Yu Chen did not respond and the two reached the cemetery and climbed to Mo Anxia's grave in silence.
Si Xia had put a jacket around Yu Chen's shoulders and she had pushed her arms into it. The jacket was Xia sized and too big for Chen as it ended below her hips and the sleeves hid even her fingertips.
The two reached the grave and Yu Chen noticed that it was fairly clean except for a few leaves and the newly fallen snow. She cleaned the snow away from the grave and sat down, Si Xia beside her.
After a moment of silence, Yu Chen spoke, "You remember our first date?"
Si Xia: "It was the first snow of the season just like this one."
Yu Chen: "That was the day Mo Kio brought me to her grave. I was probably the one who met him last..." Yu Chen broke down as she finished her sentence.
Si Xia put his arms around her as he said, "Don't speak like that. He will wake up for sure. Nobody has given up hope."
