A difference of opinion

Yu Chen spoke again, "You really don't wanna eat Western?"

Sam shrugged, "Nothing actually tastes as good as your hand-made food."

Yu Chen grinned, "You still have the nerve to say that? After you had to try all of my trial cooking?"

Sam made a disguised face, "Don't remind me of those. But after you had learnt, your dishes were really good."

Chen shook her head, "But I can't cook for you. It's too late and I'll probably never finish untill late into the night."

Sam: "Well, how about we eat something you like to, other than your own cooking."

Si Xia joined in the conversation, "I would not propose that, unless you want your dinner to be chocolate flavoured ice-cream."

Yu Chen grinned and Sam scrunched up his nose, "That's right!! I had almost forgotten about your obsession with chocolate ice-cream."

Chen stuck out her tongue at him before turning to Si Xia, "How about Miss Zhu's dumplings?"

Si Xia raised an eyebrow, "Sure. If that's what you want."

Yu Chen's face brightened up as she nodded like Noddie, "I do. I do."

She then turned to Sam, "Sam, you're gonna love Miss Zhu's dumplings. She makes the best dumplings in the world."

Sam: "Better than you?"

Yu Chen and Si Xia spoke at the same time.

Yu Chen: "Yes."

Si Xia: "No."

Sam looked from Yu Chen to Si Xia before a smile appeared on his lips, "There seems to be a difference of opinion."

Yu Chen narrowed her eyes at Xia who put an arm around her shoulders, "I was stating my opinion. Everyone is entitled to theirs right?"

"But still, Miss Zhu's dumplings are better than mine." Chen stubbornly insisted.

Si Xia said as he helped Yu Chen into the car, "We all have our opinions. And we're gonna let Mr. Darcy form his."

Sam insisted as he climbed into the Ferrari, "Please. Call me Sam. Mr. Darcy gives me the impression like I'm an old person."

After a very enjoyable meal at Miss Zhu's dumplings and telling of a lot of stories about their high school days by Chen and Xia, the three walked out of the restaurant.

Yu Chen raised her eyebrows at Sam, "So? What do you think?"

Sam shrugged, "These were actually really tasty. But I still think yours are better."

Yu Chen pouted and turned her face away from Si Xia, who looked a lot smug at his victory.

As they got back into the car and made for the hotel Sam told them, Yu Chen exclaimed, "It's snowing again!"

Si Xia and Sam also looked out of their windows.

Sam: "Well it's the start of January, what else did you expect."

Si Xia: "Be careful walking around. It looks slippery."

The rest of the ride passed in idle chatter.

After Yu Chen and Si Xia had helped Sam check in, which was much needed as he did not know much Chinese and they had been conversing the whole evening in English, Yu Chen yawned as she climbed into Xia's car again.

Si Xia stroked her head, "Tired?"

Yu Chen: "Not really. Sitting around in a car kind of takes a toll on me."

Si Xia: "The speed thing."

Yu Chen: "Yeah. However slow you try to drive, this is a sports car after all."

Si Xia chuckled, "And Samuel was grumbling about how I was wasting a perfectly good car driving it like a vanity van."
