Ask the devil

Yu Chen said as she watched Si Xia coming back, "It's because if me. I don't want anyone to know about our relationship yet. So he avoids exposing me to his workers."

Sam raised an eyebrow, "And why don't you want to keep your relationship a secret?"

Yu Chen shrugged, "You know me. Besides...."

She fixed Sam with a glare, "When did you become such a gossip?"

Sam shrugged, "Guess I've been spending too much time with Hannah."

Yu Chen's eyes brightened up at the mention of Hannah's name, "Ohhh..... How's Hannah? What is she doing these days? Does she miss me?"

Sam grinned as Si Xia came back and smiled, looking at Chen, "You'll have plenty of time to chat with Sam. Let him eat something first."

Yu Chen stuck out her tongue, "You're treating."

Si Xia chuckled, "As you wish, my lady."

The three got into the car, Si Xia driving, Yu Chen in the shotgun seat, and Sam Darcy in the back.

Yu Chen turned around in her seat and chatted to Sam, asking him how everyone was doing back in London. Suddenly, Sam picked up something from beside him and asked, "Hey, Si Xia? What is this women's wig doing in your car?" He held up a wig of long auburn hair.

Si Xia chuckled, "Better ask this little devil sitting right here."

Sam looked at Chen who growled playfully at Xia before turning to him, "It's mine."

Sam: "Why is it here?"

Chen: "I was disguised when I went to Xia's company. And I thought it will not be nice if you saw me after so many days and walked right past me because you had not recognised me."

Sam: "Well that's true. You in one of your disguises are impossible to recognise. Have you been walking around disguised here too? Playing pranks?"

Yu Chen pouted, "I tried to. But someone here recognises me every time."

Sam was shocked. Even he had rarely been able to recognise Chen whenever she was in one of her disguises. They were so perfect. Even Hannah, as whose place Chen usually dressed up, would sometimes get confused if the person in her house was really Yu Chen or not. And this Si Xia, how could he recognise her so easily? And not just once or twice, everytime?

Sam said, his voice showing clear shock and some unwilling admiration, "How?"

Yu Chen was still pouting, "Apparently, someone was born in the hour of the dog."

Sam: "Huh?....."

Si Xia ruffled Chen's hair, "Don't be so angry, okay? I'll pretend not to recognise you the next time. I recognised her by her smell." He added, turning towards Sam and answering his question.

The rest of the ride passed by with Yu Chen very animatedly chatting away. Si Xia looked at her with warmth in his deep black eyes. She seemed happy upon seeing her friend of seven years.

Xia finally stopped the car in front of a Western restaurant.

The three got out and Sam scrunched up his nose, "Western?"

Si Xia looked at him surprised, "I thought you would like that best."

Sam: "Well I've been eating this all my life. How about we go get some Chinese food?"

Yu Chen laughed, "As I told you before, Chinese is not only momos, spring rolls and noddles."

Sam scratched his head, "I know that."
