She's the devil herself

Chen and Hua laughed as Si Xia pulled Yu Chen and Huo Zenghai pulled Xi Hua away.

"Can't you stop making trouble for even a second?" Si Xia asked, flicking Chen's forehead. Yu Chen giggled in response.

Huo Zenghai looked with narrowed eyes at Xi Hua. "I'm gonna show just who am I cheating with."

Saying this he began to tickle Xi Hua, tears formed in whose eyes as she began laughing and gasping for breath. Yu Chen was itching to join in when Si Xia spoke with a sigh, "You can spend the night here if you want Zenghai. I've got to take Chang home."

Huo Zenghai stopped and Xi Hua took this opportunity to push him off herself.

"Nope. He's staying nowhere. I'm kicking him out." Hua said, crossing her arms.

Huo Zenghai looked dejected and Yu Chen put a hand on his shoulder, saying, "Don't worry. I'm willing to lend Xia to you for one night." She then winked at Xia, saying, "Enjoy."

Huo Zenghai: "....."

Si Xia: "....."

The two boys and Mi Chang said goodbye to Chen and Hua and headed for their respective homes.

In the car, Mi Chang looked at Si Xia sitting beside her. He had a radiant smile on his face and looked to be in a really good mood.

"Your friends are nice." Mi Chang said in a small voice.

"Yeah. They're good people. We might have each grown up, but we really turn back to high school kids when we are together." Si Xia replied as his eyes softened.

Mi Chang finally approached the topic she had been itching to talk about ever since they left Chen's apartment. "I like Yu Chen. She seems like a nice girl."

"Then you're very mistaken in your judgement." Si Xia said with a straight face.

Mi Chang's eyes widened as she stared at Si Xia. What did he mean by that? Was it some kind of a test? Because he was obviously very much in love with that woman.

While Chang was engrossed with her thoughts, Si Xia continued with a chuckle, "She's the devil herself. You have no idea what kind of pranks she plays."

Mi Chang bowed her head as she did not know how to reply.

"But you're right. She's a nice person, at heart anyways. Whatever might be going on in her mind." Si Xia added, apparently not noticing Chang's silence.

"Why did you bring me to th dinner?" Mi Chang asked.

Si Xia shrugged, "Chen asked me to. Said she wanted to get to know you better."

Mi Chang: "....." Now that was an answer she had not expected.

Si Xia continued, "You're probably wondering why. Even I don't know. I believe that it'll be the world's greatest feat if someone's able to ever tell what's going on in her mind."

Mi Chang replied with an oh and turned silent.

The next few days passed peacefully and soon the Chinese New year was here.

Yu Chen was lying on Xi Hua's bed as the latter stood in front of the mirror, holding two dresses and putting them each in front of her alternatively.

"I don't know. God!!!! Help me Chen!! What should I wear!?!" Xi Hua cried as she threw the dresses on the bed.
