I Tried but … I’m Tired

"Alex? Where did you put my guitar?" Sam shouted

"Shhhhh… everybody's asleep." Alex whispered

"It's gone!" Sam cried

"I don't know? Maybe you put it somewhere else Sissy." Alex replied

***ON THE PHONE***

"Hey Samsam Baby? I'm all alone, let's hang out?" a girl on the other line seductively said

"Ahmm … Phoebe? My team is preparing for the opening of the tournament this night. Maybe let's mark another day for a date, will it be alright Baby? " Sam said to her

"Ah ... Sissy, Bern texted me, asking how are you." Alex said while Sam is on the phone

"Ahmm … I'll call you later Baby Phoebe, Okay? Love you!" Sam ended the call

"Huh? Then what did you replied?" Sam is astonished

"I said you were alright." Alex said

Sam nodded and continued looking for her guitar.

Alex then went to her room.

After a while, Sam went there

"What's this?" Alex asked

"Change your number." Sam said while handing Alex a new sim card

"Why would I?" Alex raised her eyebrow

"You know the reason Alex, you shouldn't be asking." Sam replied boringly

"B-but..?" Alex insisted

"Please Alex." Sam beg

***ON THE PHONE***

"Hello? Danica? Have you eaten your dinner dear?" said Sam

"Yes Babe, I already did. How about you?" said the other girl

"Ah … Yes ahh … I am calling because I can't hardly catch a call on our trip … A-hhh I need to go Dear, lovelove!" Sam added.

***END CALL CONVERSATION***

"I have to go Alex! Zaldy's already downstairs!" Sam shouted and went out from Alex's room

Alex knew it. Sam is trying to move on and got to mingle with other girls.

Sam and Zaldy have a separate trip from other athletes (who already arrived in the venue to represent during the evening acquaintance party) for they are tasked to buy meat and other foods.

"Ahmm Zaldy, wait! Tito Fred's calling." Sam said

Zaldy turn off the engine.

***ON THE PHONE***

"H-hello? Tito?" Sam said

"Hello? Who's this?" Tito Fred asked

"A-hhh.. This is Sam Tito Fred, Zaldy's…" Sam stopped

"Aw! Zaldy's Girlfriend! Oh! Yeah." He said

Sam looked at Zaldy with a questionable face holding her laughter while Zaldy had a "What?" face being curious of what his Dad been talking to her.

"Ahmm are you with my son Zaldy right now?" he asked

"Y-yes, Yes Tito!" Sam started chuckling

"WHAT?!" Zaldy whispered

Zaldy is in too much curiosity that he grabbed Sam's phone and talked to his Dad. Sam is giggling all the time even while Zaldy's driving.

"What did Dad told you?" Zaldy asked

"Huh? Nothing!" Sam defensively answered

"H-hmmm.. Laugh as you can tvjokls** ajh** hafgad**…" Zaldy is irritated

"Huh? Come again? I can't hear you." Sam said

"Nah! I said you are deaf." Zaldy said

Sam heard it clearly but tried to pretend. Zaldy said its fine to have fun even in serious matters for he longed to see her doing it so long.

"Ah. Hey? Question!" Sam said while raising her right hand

"Hmm?" Zaldy replied

"Why's your phone turned off the whole day?" Sam asked while eating chocolates

"To save battery." Zaldy boringly replied

"Wow! Sometimes, people can actually surprise me!" Sam mockingly react

"Nah! Seriously? Why'd you care?" Zaldy asked

"Of course I would care, b-because… supposed the reason is… L-like w-what had just happened, when your Dad call me instead of you and have said something." Sam said

"What did he told you?" Zaldy is intensely asking

Because he announced Sam as his Girlfriend before in their barrio when they were young, that's why Sam seem so close and open to Zaldy's family and up until now, Tito Fred is teasing them and Zaldy felt awkward now that they are grown up.

"Nothing." Sam have a big bite of chocolates

"So, I was asking why your phone is off the whole day, for what reason?" Sam asked the second time

"Nothing." Zaldy said

"Heeee! As if I truly care! HAHAHA!" Sam self-deniably replied

"Because of Jean." Zaldy said

Sam have no words to say. She felt half jealous because way back before when Zaldy had told his feelings to Sam, he went away and Sam had bad times looking for a perfect companion like Zaldy.

They arrived and everybody's waiting for both of them for the food and some materials to use for tomorrow's final event. Scheduled this night is their Final Opening of the Inter-school Sports Event held at the *********** High School.

"Jean is calling me." Sam said

"Just say, were not together." Zaldy replied

"Done." Sam said while getting out her sim card

"What are you doing?" Zaldy asked

"Celebrating World Peace and Independence Day." Sam held the card to tear it apart

"That's great! Then, let's celebrate together." Zaldy said and took out his sim card

"You don't need to do that." Sam said

"Give yours to me and I'll give mine to you." Zaldy said

And it was torn.

The Next Morning, Sam is preparing for her game so she went to the bathroom. She patiently waited for the girl inside and suddenly a young girl beg to go before her because she had her gymnastics event at 8 o'clock. Upon knowing it was a gymnastics event, Sam happily give her way to the young girl.

As she had to go in a distance to cough, a lady took her lane.

Sam hates that. She went out and saw the males' bathroom.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Why did you go there? You go here!" Bern stopped Sam

"Huh?! But? It is male's restroom!?" Sam insisted

"We are MALES! Trapped in a wrong body HAHAHA!" Bern dragged Sam to the male's restroom

The rain is heavily dropping. Sam's figure caught Bernadette's eyes. She stared at her and felt warmth in her body. It is so flawless and gorgeous. Little by little, she felt thirst. She held her breathe and unconsciously bite her lips while looking at Sam.

"Hey?" Sam whispered

Bern is startled and covered her eyes in shocked

"Why are you staring at my body like that? You are pervert! HAHAHA!" Sam teasingly said

"Heee! Of course not! I have here, can't you see? More gorgeous than yours HAHAHA! Bitch!" replied Bern

Sam held Bern's face and studied its expression. They looked at each other's eyes.

"But still you find it gorgeous." Sam teasingly whispered and run fast

"HAHAHA! But mine is more attractive and spotless! You Bitch! Come here!" As Bern run after her

They bumped a number of guys.

"Why you ladies here?" They asked

"The ladies' restroom is somewhat dirty. You got to look at it!" Bern playfully replied and they ran away.

"Dirty again?" said the Janitor

"Ahh she means, the ladies there, are dirty minded. That's it. Goodbye Mr!" Sam worriedly replied

"Hey Miss! You should have taken a bath somewhere else, not here!" as a guy knocked on Sam's door

"Why don't you look at the other bathrooms? It is unclean and what's the matter? I never opened my door so what's your problem?" Sam replied

"The Janitress just came out, it might be clean now. Go! Out!" said the guy

"Of course I'm going out because I'm done. Idiot." Sam responded

The door is hard to open. Sam is locked inside and helpless.

"HEY! IDIOTS! OPEN THE DOOR!" Sam cried

The competition is ongoing. Sam is still stuck.

"Damn! Hey! Anybody here? Help! Help! I'm stuck! Help me please! I have a tournament! Help!!" Sam howled

A guy from outside heard her screaming

"It's a girl!" said the guy

"Yeah!? But in the male's bathroom?" said the other guy

One of them opened the door.

And with full anger Sam slapped it and the guy is knocked down.

"Hey? What's your problem? He's helping you out!" said the other guy

"Oh! M-my God! I-I'm s-sorry, Is he alright? I'm so sorry. A-ahmm... I have to go. BUT I'll SURELY get back!" Sam hurriedly run

The competition is undone. Zamira needs to mingle with other players, all she had is Zaldy and he is currently competing.

"Go Zaldy! My Zaldy Go!" She whispered while seeing him in the monitor

Zaldy won his event and quickly went to their quarter. Everybody congratulated him and celebrated.

Sam came running to hug him in too much happiness and Zaldy shed tears not because he won but because he made Sam smile.

For him, it is the most honest and genuine look that Sam had shown.

"I told you! You can beat them up!" Sam hugged him tighter

"Yes, of course! Because I have my best cheerleader! My SamSam! HAHAHAHA!" Zaldy teased her again

"So how about your game?" Zaldy added

"I lose. I am disqualified, I came late." Sam bowed her head

"But important thing is you won! I'm still so proud of you!" Sam added.

Flashed on their screens are their partial scores in different events

"You liar!!! HAHAHAHA!" Zaldy run after Sam seeing she won her game

"Hahaha!" Sam runs fast

"You should call your Mom right now! Hahaha!" Zaldy teased Sam

They made a deal. When Sam lose, she won't go with their field trip with the team but if she won, she'll join. When Zaldy lose, he will talk to Jean and fix their relationship but if he won, Sam should not mention Bernadette's name again in any of their conversations.

A/N: There is really no connection, but what can we do? That's their deal HAHAHAHA!

"No! You'll get your camcorder to prove if I mention her name! HAHAHA!" Sam teased him

And teased herself inside.

"Congratulations." Stephen offered his hands

"Thanks. Good luck to your game." Sam smiled to him while hand shaking.

Zaldy grabbed Sam and requested for ice cream.

"What's with that kind of attitude?" Sam asked

"What??? I am just taking you away from that bastard! Why?" Zaldy raised an eyebrow

"Did you like shaking hands with him?" he added

"Of course NOT!" Sam said

"Nah! Let's just celebrate." Zaldy said

Competition is done.

"Daaaad! I'm hooooooome! Our team is the Overall Champion! Yiiiiiieeeeee!!" Sam hugged Dad

"Shhhh.. The people's asleep.! I am so proud of you Sam!" Dad happily whispered

"Hmm? But why are you alone and still awake?" Sam asked

"I am thinking of you HAHAHA! My daughter, sometimes, problems must be kept from anyone because 80% don't care and 20% are glad you have them." Dad explained

"So, you are thinking of problems?" Sam asked

"No. Even good news will be safe with yourself, not everybody's genuinely happy for you." Dad said

"Hmmmm… Dad? Question? What if I were a boy? Would that be a problem for you or a good news?" Sam asked

"What's that question for?" Dad said

"Maybe Dad, asking a permission." Sam said

"Huh? To be a boy?" Dad asked

"A-ahh.. No. I mean Y-yes.. A-ahh… Asking permission for our Samal trip next day! That's it, Dad!" Sam explained

"What did I just heard?" Alex exclaimed

The two looked at Alex

"OMG! Sissy, How many briefs I mean … panties and bras you want me to prepare? HAHAHA! " Alex held Sam's shoulder while her phone on her hands nearby.

Sam stared her with a killer eyes.

"Shhhhhhhhhhhhh… both of you must be sleeping at this time, go to your rooms. And Sam, I'll tell your Mom Okay?" Dad said

"Hahahaha! Sissy, if it's not panty or bra, what do you think could it be their names?" Alex played around while they went upstairs

The next day, Alex handed Sam a condom and wink on her.

"For protection." She hugged Sam while her phone nearby

"I'm allergic with guys." Sam whispered

"It's for you, damn it!" Alex chuckles

**Beep Beep**

The Van opened the Door for Sam. They arrived at exactly 9am.

"Excuse me? Is this the second trip? Where's Zaldy?" Sam asked the school driver

"Zaldy's with his sweetheart and he cannot go as what I've heard." said the driver.

"But for me, I'm sure he'll come over after." He added

"Okay. Thanks." Sam said

Daylight is gone. Everybody's celebrating except Sam

"Hey! Sam! Come over!" Stephen invited Sam for a drink

Sam refused because they're all boys. She went to a group of softball players.

"Hey! Sam! What's up with you and Bern?" a girl asked

"We're over." Sam said and grabbed the beer

"Huh? Hey! Why?" another girl is shocked

"Even fairytales don't always have a happy ending." Sam shed a tear and started to tell the synopsis of their love story. She's a bit drunk.

Sam cried out.

More tears fell down.

"Sam! Sam! Enough! You're drunk" A voice came running

"B-bern?" She asked

"No, it's Zaldy I'm so sorry, Dad's sick. Let's get out of here. Come on." He grabbed her waist

"No! I have to tell the ending, I am not yet done! Hey! Hey! Why are you getting me out! Put me down Huh! Put me down!!!!!!" Sam faintly yelled and fell asleep.

Zaldy took her to their camp and wake Sam up to take a medicine for hang over. He stared Sam for almost an hour.

"You won't be hurt again! Never again, My Love." Zaldy kissed her forehead

3: 15 am and Sam is awake. She stared at Zaldy with a question in her mind.

Zaldy woke up as Sam warmed his skin. She had a fever.

"Why are you here?" Sam weakly asked

"Because you're drunk and weak … and sick!" Zaldy said without looking at her

He relieved the fever with the touch of a warm cloth all over her body

"H-hmm… mmm.. Zald! You shouldn't be cooking! Let me do it. A-aaah!!? " Sam stopped

Sam stood up and had a sudden headache. Sam touch her head and sat down. Zaldy bended and stared at Sam's eyes closely. Sam assumed for a kiss but he laughed hard.

"Hahahahahaha! Look!" as Zaldy grabbed his camera.

**ON CAM**

"I'M SORRY B-BERNADETTE! I'M SO SORRY!" Sam yelled

"I TRIED! BUT I'M TIRED! I CAN'T GET OVER YOU! I NEED YOU NOW!" Sam cried
