Restitution.

Restitution.

Havillah marveled at her hands that were still glowing. Truly she had not thought this possible, that it would work again without the emollient and yet, here she was rebuffing the very ideas and beliefs that had once held her back from performing such a feat. As her hands continued to glow Havillah found that her vision as well had also improved. She could tap into the Other and could see straight into Selene's inner body just like she had done with Killion when she was healing him.

Not many knew of this. She had stumbled upon the secret as she went among the many the scrolls that Elder Lionel had always forced upon her to peruse on his behalf. His laziness and arrogance had eventually played out to her advantage. What she was doing was a marriage of her first Virtue and the Second, something that her mother had told her before telling her to keep it a secret, especially from her own mentor and his ever watching eyes.

Not many would understand. Those had been Tamaars words. That one who had such a weakness with the First virtue could do so much with the Second. It was a thing that would astound many and like human nature, for that was what they all were stripped of all their virtue, the Great would fear her like humans feared the unknown and through that persecution would find a door to her, not that it hadn't already done that. Havillah had not understood back then, but looking back now, the girl could see how true her mother's sentiments were and now, as she did the impossible and her mind opened, as she took in the landscape of Selene's body and gasped.

"What? What is it?" She heard Killion question beside her but her mind was already occupied. So much that speech was not an option now especially since she did not have the emollient to anchor her.

Selene's body was dim, she noticed. Much more dim than it was supposed to be and where every part of her body should have been aglow, illuminated by the very energy and  light that fuels every part of a body, dark voids and pockets seemed to be forming and growing by the minute. They began from the tip of her hands, the soles of her feet and where Havillah searched for a pattern she found that she could not find any.

What was she to do now?

Selene was not dead, that much she could tell from the constant beat of the woman's weakening heart. She was barely alive though and Havillah knew that if she did not hurry and do what it was that had brought her there, then this woman who only seemed to be just sleeping would fade away and become as good as dead having been dimmed out of her own earthly husk.

"What is she doing here!" A voice surprised her despite having expected it from the moment she set foot inside the Hub. Still, it was amazing how much she had been able to do before word got round to bring in the woman's interference to her work inside the clinic.

"Calla... Calm yourself." She had Killion say.

"She may be just the only hope that is present for your mother. You know that we have tried everything, everything but it doesn't work. Let her try please," the doctors came in as they attempted to persuade her from wreaking havoc and her vengeance on her. Even through these Havillah did not open her eyes. She could not afford to and risk losing her focus. As it was, without her emollient her grip was rather slippery and with that came the fear that she could loose her hold resulting in a delay that could very well mean a fatal ending for the woman that was lying beneath her hands.

" Calla... Please," Killion tried again. It seemed that they were struggling to restrain the woman from getting to her.

"She did this and you knew it! And yet you allowed her to come here?" Calla's voice broke like she was about to cry, then footsteps sounded as her whimpers were swiftly carried out and away from the hospital room.

"Go after her. We will remain here with Miss Havillah." The doctors told someone who she assumed was the captain. For a moment Killion seemed to hesitate with the decision and Havillah could only imagine why. On one end there was her safety and on the other a childhood friend that needed his comfort.
